BTW slight distinction: Speedy is a nickname. Speed is her actual name. Speed Bolt is working for Lektra to earn a bit of bits and to prove to their parents she can hold a job. Her first one, in fact. In this RP she is 13 and recently became a teenager. Still not much taller than the CMC. In the show I mean. Everyone in the show or who existed in that period is older in here, of course. She's an NPC and will be appearing from time to time, if anyone needs her

1. Lektra is a midday sleeper (earliest 11am), or has to be woken up by Sparky. Consider this a hint if you want her up early. She didn't lock anyone in on purpose because of this, since some have work early in the morning. Cafe opens early in the morning right, and Cocoa has work? Dynamo implied he was going to wait for Lektra cause he doesn't have a job yet

Lektra is sleeping on the living room couch cuddled with her metallic plush of Twi. She is constantly sobbing and sniffling in her sleep. This behavior is normal for her since 4 years ago that Twi passed away

Dynamo wakes up early? Or he waits until she wakes up on her own and watches her sleep, the creep? Sparky wakes her up? She's gonna sleep a while if not woken up

He could let her sleep and instead activate Sparky, who's in sleep mode somewhere arbitrary in the hut

Lektra will otherwise wake up on her own and work from the cafe until her therapy session with Starlight in the evening

BTW Lektra will probably offer Dynamo a job and to stay in the guest room permanently, or until he wants to stop living there 

I expect him to decline both, but there's always surprises since he does like arcade machines and age might have some, or can rebuild some 🤷🏻‍♀️

I was thinking that Dynamo wakes up early. I wake up at around five in the morning, so my OC is basically just like me. We are forever cursed to be morning people/ponies.  

Also, nah. Dynamo wouldn't watch Lektra while she sleeps. Maybe he goes back to town with Cocoa and Speed and maybe checks back with Lektra because he's concerned as a friend?

It would be pretty interesting to see an interaction with Dynamo and Sparky. I know he wouldn't understand Sparky very well, but I can see the idea going somewhere. 

I know Dynamo would appreciate the offer greatly, but he was getting a home from Mayor Mare because it was Pinball Wizard's old summer home.

Nah, haha. I can imagine he'd go back to town to go apply for a job at the arcade, but maybe something happens that makes the group get called together at some point? Also, I work the morning shift at work. I guess I'm not of an afternoon/evening person.

Maybe they get called together cause Starlight tells them about her visit from Luna? The problem is that it's too early for this and no pony actually knows who the new elements are yet, including themselves 🤔

I mean he could wake Lektra up at like 6 or 8 if you have an idea of something they'd do together, but expect her to be cranky due to body clock saying it's too early 

Do you think he'd like a job and a place to live? Kinda defeats the purpose of taking over a house from his other friend, but it might facilitate learning some magic if he accepts. Then again also kinda not cause Lektra doesn't actually actively cast/do magic like other Unicorn ponies. The machines she makes have magical properties

You can read how I've implemented Bolt Solutions Magitek in Equestria by reading her character profile. It's really only a couple of spells she knows, and one being cast repeatedly

Hmm...I feel like the whole living arrangements would be like we talked about on their relationship as friends. Once the elements are established, of course. Pinball is around his late 30's to early 40's, so he was more of a boss and teacher for Dynamo when working in the arcade in Fillydelphia. I have a character who would work in the arcade at Ponyville, but he might not be seen that much. More of an NPC, in a way. Pinball did offer Dynamo his home as Pinball didn't really visit Ponyville that much. Seeing how Ponyville was known as the epicenter of games, he wanted Dynamo to explore the world and take on some gaming tournaments.

I can see the group getting together by Starlight. Maybe after applying at the arcade, some of the group joins up to spend time together and maybe try out some games?

Epicenter of games? News to me lol. As far as Lektra is aware, Ponyville is the center of all weirdness since all the stuff had been happening to the Mane 6 there

Getting together at the arcade sometime makes sense. I can also see Lektra eventually rebuilding the arcade machines entirely, as she usually does. She sees existing tech as inferior to Magitek. Better graphics, more realistic. Probably take them from 8 bit to 32, and add longer games. Ponies aren't at the home console or PC game stage yet, unfortunately 🤷🏻‍♀️

Better question though, what would we do now that she would have a reason to wake up earlier?

Yeah lol. In his backstory, games were mostly found around Ponyville. Since the train can go to many different towns and cities. Making Ponyville being the epicenter seems fitting, in a way. Although, I know video game tournaments won't be a major focus in this RP. Dynamo was advised by Pinball that weird/random things happen in town. So, I can imagine random things still going on as time has gone by, haha.

I think that would be cool if Lektra stopped by the arcade. Maybe some of the arcade machines were invented for the arcade. Giving said building a retro, but more of a modern feel to it. I can imagine there would be handheld games as I saw the Button's Adventure video on YouTube. I would say it's that stage, but I remember seeing Button play on an arcade machine in the episode, 'Hearts and Hooves Day.'

Hmm...maybe Dynamo goes to check up on Lektra as maybe she has a nightmare? Maybe in the nightmare, she's with Twilight, but was unable to stop whatever took Twi and the others away? Not too sure as I can only think of maybe something like a nightmare would wake her up.

I expect the arcade machines are similar to real life 8 bit games. Anything else is not really necessary, since unicorns can make VR. Why play a game with an arcade controller when you can magically enter the game or project it into your living room? Also Discord and his tabletop game being real whenever he wants. That's true. Maybe there would be a convention for the group to go to, but then there would be a sort of mission, or villain appearing.

I never thought about unicorns making VR when it comes to playing games. Now that I think about that, it opens up a lot of possibilities for playing games, haha. Who needs a VR headset when you can use magic. That's also true when it comes to Discord.

Well yeah, magic VR. I feel like that should be the first spell he learns to do. Maybe Lektra upgrades the arcade with VR Magitek once she visits? We can assume she's never been there, for convenience purposes. Not right away though. I feel like obtaining permits would be involved?

@Emerald<3would Cocoa leave for work with Speed? Speed is a filly who loves to show off. She got her Cutie Mark early and it's in being fast, as well as making other things fast/slow. She speeds up her running speed and ferries others around with teleportation

Hmm...that would be cool, but I'm not sure how VR magic would work in a fight. I might have to see what kind of spells are good for him to start off and to work his way up. Seeing how he'll be learning some basics in magic. Also, I saw the latest special and I'm so happy to learn more about magic!

One other thing I was wondering. I know you said they were staying in a hug. Would there be windows for the sun to shine through?

I imagine VR is one spell, or a technique that can be used different ways. Remember the time Twilight created a projection screen to expose Sven Gallop? Dynamo could do something similar, but make it his own. It could work two ways. He makes things he is thinking of from arcades he's played. As an illusion that is not real, or as a magical construct projected from imagination where it is real. Both?

I remember when she used that spell on Sven Gallop. I can see him making VR games with his magic like Sword Art Online, but in his own magic and style. Even games like Duck Hunt in his own magic projection would be interesting.

Aw, and I don't want to spoil anything because anything can be a spoil.
