From what he had been told, he would never wish that upon his greatest of enemies. "We can't allow that to happen. Is there any way that we can stop this from happening? Any way to break this continuous loop? Please, your highness." He bowed before the Princess as he knew he desperately wanted to find an answer that could save who he considered a friend. 

Aerion still knelt and asked "if we can do something to help, I will do it and I'm at your command princess" he lowered his head even more and hopeful that she could have an answer that would help

As he waited for an answer from Princess Luna, Dynamo had almost felt a chill running down his spine. He shivered slightly as he turned to see the atmosphere in the town convention had changed drastically. All the ponies in town booing, looking angry as day turned to night. Suddenly and without warning, a ghostly version of the real Twilight Sparkle had fluttered towards the ground. "T-Twilight? T-That just can't be. It isn't possible, right?" He shook his head in disbelief as he saw Lektra had flown away with Sparky. That was when Sparky had transformed into Spike, who used his flames to burn her tail.

"Spike!? Okay, so this is definitely a dream. More like a nightmare is the better way of putting it. We need to get this to stop. Otherwise, I don't know if this will end well for Lektra." He gritted his teeth as he was tempted to make his way towards the group to save Lektra, before noticing a stone that Spike was holding in his claws. "Wait a second. What's that piece of stone that Spike's holding? It...somewhat looks familiar, but I can't say what." If he knew what that stone was, then he could try and think up a plan for Aerion, Cocoa and himself to act in saving their friend.

"You have a good eye." Luna observed, "That is a shard from Chrysalis's throne. Destroy the piece he is holding and your friend shall be free of this nightmare."

Hot Cocoa was listening intensely, her yellow eyes scanning the area at the mention of Spike. Even in they grabbed the piece from him, she had a feeling that destroying it wouldn't be that easy.

Hot Cocoa was listening intensely, her yellow eyes scanning the area at the mention of Spike. Even in they grabbed the piece from him, she had a feeling that destroying it wouldn't be that easy. 

 

"Roger!" he said "destroy the Shard and this nightmare will end! at your orders your highness!" he saluted and got ready to destroy the shard

Cocoa nodded along with the others, but wasn't really paying attention. She was too wrapped up in thinking of an idea of how to grab the shard back.

He winced as he heard Aerion’s shout of what’s needed to be done, while he looked at his surroundings as he tried to think of a plan. After a moment of thinking, Dynamo’s eyes widened slightly as a plan began to form. As Lunar had wished them luck, Dynamo thought it would be best to get the attention of g e others. “Guys, wait! I think I have a plan as to how to get over there, save Lektra, destroy that stone and end this nightmare. However, I can’t do this alone and we need to work together. What do you think? Can you please hear me out?” He asks, hoping that they would give his idea a try.

As he got Aerion's and Cocoa's approvals, he nodded as he began to explain. "Okay. So, here's what I'm thinking. If we are to get to that statue, rescue Lektra and end this nightmare, then we'll need to play to our strengths. Just let me check one thing." He turned around and tried to charge up his unicorn horn for a spell. He closed his eyes tightly as he tried to force out a spell, but it was to no avail. With a heavy sigh, he continued. "It's as I feared. That stone is blocking any magic I can use. Probably to any magic spells we have in our arsenal. So, I'll be a bit useless in this, but we'll still play to strengths. Aerion, you are a part of the Wonderbolts. So, that should mean that you're an expert flyer. Cocoa, you said that you are able to run fast. Even if you can't use magic, then that shouldn't stop you from making a quick getaway, or to get past your enemies." He says, noting each on their abilities.

"Aerion? I know this might sound crazy, but I need you to throw me over to where Lektra is being chased. I might not be able to use magic, but that won't stop me from trying to help our friend. Here's the catch. The moment you throw me, I need you to stick close to me, like a shadow. With how pale your fur is, the other ponies won't notice you gliding under me and hiding in the shadows. Once you are close enough to Spike, then make your way over to him and try to take that stone out of his claws. That's where Cocoa comes into play. What you can do is look for a new angle of attack. That sounded confusing, but hear me out. The idea is to wait for Aerion to give the signal. He'll either try to get the stone from Spike, or he'll bring him closer to the ground and towards you. Meaning you'll be able to catch him off guard for you to take the stone, as well. Once you both have the stone, then try to use a stronger force to destroy that stone once and for all. If not, then I want Cocoa to take that stone as far away from here as possible. If my guess is correct, then that stone can only block out magic by a certain radius. Afterwards, our magic should be able to come back and we can finally restrain these other ponies to rescue Lektra." He took a deep breath and sighed, before giving the two a serious look.

"There is a problem that I can see happening. If Spike tries to alert Twilight and the other ponies, then they'll probably try and stop you guys from taking the stone from Spike. I'm not sure on how to stop that possibility, but this is all I've got for right now. What do you think, you guys?"

I would say no because this is a dream, but I don't want to take any chances." He says, while Aerion was getting himself into position to execute the plan. "If I have to, then I'll just roll into a pinball and start getting some strikes, while picking up some spares. Just wait, until Cocoa is in position. Once she lets us know, then get ready to launch." He nods as he waited for Cocoa to be ready to begin the plan.

He streched his legs and picked Dynamo with two of his hooves and while carrying him he back down "you better get ready because this is gonna be really really uncomfortable" he ran and with all his might he threw Dynamo where he asked and after he was sent flying he flew behind him

Dynamo could feel himself flying at high speeds, while his eyes teared up from the wind that was blasted into his face. He could see the angry mob was still chasing Lektra, but he knew he would gain their attention if he crashed into them. As he neared the ground, Dynamo looked down to see Aerion was still in the flight path with him. "Okay! Get ready...and...break!" He curled up into a ball as he spun mid flight into the form of a pinball. He had trouble navigating as he was spinning, but he could vaguely see the mob of ponies he was planning to barrel into.

Rose arrived at the cafe and sat down in a chair while unfurling the newspaper to see what's going on in Canterlot, Equestria today. Nothing seemed to be happening, or they are covering up, but she didn't need to pry, since she was retired.

Aerion went to chase Spike in a discreet manner to get the shard then nodded at Cocoa and Dynamo letting them know he was getting near to him

Hot Cocoa nodded in return, looking down at the ground nervously as she hoped for success. This was all too much for her. As much as she wanted to not be here, she literally couldn't leave. Even if she could, she would stay.

She would do anything to help a friend.

I felt so extremely icky and uncomfortable, I had to make a pin from some wood that was thrown away. I couldn't breathe through my nose, the smell of garbage and rotten tomatoes was all over me. Why couldn't they smell me? I had no idea 

I had managed to hide for the time being. It felt like I had been running away from them for hours, but I had no way of knowing how much time had actually passed. I was extremely tired and felt like I was going to collapse, either from exhaustion or just from getting caught by the monsters.

This was way more running than I was ever used to. They started to tear up the market looking for me, but were gathered in a crowd while doing so and were on a direct path toward me.

The Spike and Twilight ghosts were at the head of the pack giving them commands. I did notice my friends trying things, but my vision of them was blurry and I couldn't figure out exactly what it was

I had probably a few moments reprieve as I looked out from my hiding spot to see what was going on. The last time this nightmare looped I had gotten caught around now

I whimpered and hid again as I saw they were all out there

As the others went to accomplish their goals of the plan, Dynamo kept spinning as he saw the crowd were in giant sights. Without warning, he began barreling through the crowd. Knocking down ponies one by one, while they were in the market. “Excuse me! Coming through! Pardon me! Sorry~!” He says, while making his way through the front of he crowd. Once he reached the front of the pack, he rolled on the ground and stopped in his spinning. 

He took a moment to shake his head as he was feeling dizzy from spinning. He looked over to see ghost Twilight and ghost Spike and narrowed his eyes slightly. “Hey! I don’t know what’s going on around here, but you better leave Lektr alone!” He gulped slightly as he didn’t have a plan to follow through. As his magic was useless due to the stone, but that wouldn't stop him from trying to help a friend.

Aerion was stalking the spirit of spike who was carrying the fragment and as soon he saw the opportunity he pounced on him to grab the fragment with his teeth and run with it as Dynamo said he should, but he knew something or somepony would make hot pursuit on him as long as he had the fragment

As Dynamo stood against the spirits of Twilight, Spike and the residents of the town, Dynamo was beginning to become worried. He didn't know if Aerion or Cocoa would be able to get the stone fragment from the crowd, but he knew he could trust them with this task. "I feel as if I'm being ignored. You can at least answer me. What did my friend do to give you all such hostility? I only met Lektra yesterday, but I can tell she's a nice friend. So, I feel as if you're just picking on ponies for no reason. That's not the way true friendship is supposed to be, you know?" He hoped to keep their attention on him, while holding back a smirk as Aerion made a jump for the stone fragment. "Go, Aerion! Destroy it, or take it away from here! If they catch up to you, then give that fragment to Cocoa! She'll be able to run away with it quickly!" He shouted out to the Pegasus, while he thought he saw a bunch of ponies going after his friend. "Hey! Instead of worrying about him. I think you should be more concerned with me." He called out to the group, but he felt nervous as he didn't understand why he even said it. He wasn't trying to act tough, but more along the lines of stalling for time. He just hoped that the others could get the stone away from here. It was the only way to get their magic and other abilities back.

in his leap and tackle to spike Aerion grabbed the shard with his mouth and a son as he got distance he leaped on the air again and took the shard between this hooves and dived to the floor with all his speed and then with the force of impact of his dive and the floor the shard was destroyed and released energy that would push him so hard that he ended up flying in reverse against a wall

Dynamo's ears perked as he heard Cocoa's words of reassurance. In just a matter of a moment, he could feel his nervousness start to fade. He smiled softly as he nodded his thanks to the unicorn mare. 'For some reason, I believe her words. Is it because we're friends, or is it something else?' He thought, but was pulled from his thoughts as he heard the sound of the stone fragment shattering on impact upon the ground. He grinned and jumped for joy as Aerion and Cocoa had managed to destroy the stone fragment.

"We are the projection of all her self doubt and self loathing. We will torment her forever!" the Spike and Twilight ghosts said in unison to the pony asking them a question and cackled

I heard a loud thunk and felt my magic returning. They finally did it! My friends had done it! I felt better, much better. Not better like it was all over, but better in the sense that I didn't feel trapped anymore. I climbed up out of the market stand that I had been hinging behind.

"Oh yeah? Well my new friends are here for me. What are you going to do now? They don't fear you, and now neither do I." I smiled defiantly

"But--" the Twilight ghost looked dumbfounded, confused 

"You're. Not. Twi." I said as I stamped my hoof on the counter matter of factly

"Huh? You're not afraid of us?" the Spike ghost said as it snarled at me, and there was absolutely no effect

"You're just projections. This is my dream, and my friends helped me see that. Helped me when I couldn't do this on my own." I clapped my fore hooves together, the monsters returned to normal and the town brightened a bit

"No! You weren't there! You're a failure! A laughing stock!"

"You have no power here anymore." I motioned her forward. "Come, fight me if you want."

The ghost hissed and tried to blast me with a beam of magic, but I clapped my hooves together and made it vanish.

"Got anything else, Not Twi?" she hung her head and snarled. "That's what I thought." I clapped my hooves as the ghosts started to break up into pieces

"I don't feel so good............" The Spike ghost said to no one in particular as he started to vanish into pieces

"I will always be there in your heart. I am your self doubt, self loathing, and a reminder if your failure. Every time you remember your failure, you will see me!" the Twilight ghost finally vanished as the Spike ghost turned back into Sparky

Sparky flew me up into the sky as I concentrated my thoughts and released a wave of magic, fully brightening the town back into daylight and repairing all the damage to the convention as if nothing had happened. I headed over to my friends 

"Thank you, all of you. By working together to destroy the fragment, you helped me get my confidence back. The projection was right, my negative thoughts will remain. But it was also wrong, you my friends will be there to help me." I pulled them all into a quick hug

As it was day-time Princess Luna appeared from a shadow cast by one of the convention statues. "Congratulations. You have triumphed over the dream together, and passed the test. You may stay here and enjoy the convention, or I can return you to the waking world post haste."

"So this was a test?! Are you kidding me?!" I practically yelled at the Princess

"Yes it was, but now whenever you feel down or sad, you can come here at any time. This will be your happy place, a place to center yourself." Luna explained this as she waved her hoof and smiled

A solid and not evil looking Twilight and Spike materialized next to her, smiling and waving at me. "A place where your dreams will not hurt you, and you can have good times."

"My love." I sniffled and let out a tear, just sitting down where I stood in the middle of the convention to process exactly what had happened

I hoped that wasn't too embarrassing for the others

The blue unicorn turned back towards ghost Twilight, ghost Spike and the others as he could feel his magic was finally returning. He nodded as he stood next to Lektra, who was beginning to fight back against her nightmares. "Lektra is right. You're not the real Twilight Sparkle and you never will be. I may not have ever met her in person, but I know she was a great pony and a true friend. She helped tried to spread friendship across Equestria. What you're doing is not right and you'll be nothing more than a fake." Just before she vanished, he managed to hear a final warning from the nightmare Twilight. "Maybe, but I don't think that will ever happen. As long as Lektra keeps hold of the good times and has her friends by her side, then she'll never fall to darkness like you, fake." He narrowed his eyes as he knew he wanted to keep his friends safe.

As he saw Lektra head over to him and the others, Dynamo was caught off guard as Lektra pulled him and the others into a hug. At first, he blushed as he didn't expect her to hug him right off of the bat. After a moment, he smiled as he returned the hug without a second thought. "You're welcome and you don't have to thank us, Lektra. That's what friends are for. I wasn't just going to leave you to suffer like that. I'm just glad my plan worked. To be honest, I was afraid I'd fail. It was a 50/50 chance, but I'm glad it all worked out. We work well like a team, in my opinion." He says, smiling as he looked over to Aerion and Cocoa. 

As Princess Luna had appeared from the shadows of the convention statues, Dynamo's eyes widened in surprise as to what she had told the group. "This was all a test? Even when Lektra was going through such an ordeal? I mean, what was the test even for?" He tilted his head in confusion as he didn't quite understand what was going on. He looked around to see that the convention was back and everything was right in the world of dreams. "I guess we can stay for a bit. I mean, a convention is a convention. What do you all think?" He asks, before seeing a solid and not evil looking Twilight and Spike materializing next to Lektra. He smiled sadly as he didn't blame her for letting out a few tears. She had gone through a lot and he knew this was probably the first step in the healing process.

Hot Cocoa bowed, "Your Majesty." She greeted. Even though it was a dream, old habits don't fade as well as you thought.
