Daring Do: That's my immediately family, back when they were in university. From left to right is my uncle Gallant True, my mom, Gilded Rune, and my dad, Precious Mettle, or just "Mettle". Mom was the only one that could get away with calling him Precious.  *giggles* Dad was a bit more of a rogue than I ended up being. Uncle Ad - er, uh, that's what I call Gallant True - says I got my brain from my mom, and my heart from my dad.  He was an energetic goof, but loved life and adventuring from his hooves to his wingtips...

 Me and Uncle Ad miss him and mom a lot...

Dr. Caballeron: *runs a hoof through his mane* Muchas gracias, compadre.  No, I do not mind sharing. The wave es natural. I just regularly treat it with coconut oil overnight to keep it healthy. Sometimes for 24 hours if I have no plans to leave the house.

Ahuizotl: *chuckles* That would be a very long beaked bird.  But actually no, it es not uncomfortable. It was originally designed for pony warriors to wear, and I have heard plenty of them mention how heavy it es. But on someone my size, it es nothing.

So, AK Yearling's books about Daring Do have been doing pretty good in sales.
Any chance AK is going to publish the unreleased chapters some day? I bet there are chapters left on the cutting room floor. 

Ahui, I know it's not part of your culture, but do the names Ra, Osiris, or Anubis sound familiar to you?

Ahuizotl: *cringes a bit* Well, I do not know where the stealing of EYES came from, and I cannot speak for others of my kind because I have never met another, but I have dragged my enemies underwater before. But that's just pragmatic. I can swim very well and hold my breath for a very long time, so it gives me an edge. 

Daring Do: And yet, I'm still here. 

[Yeah, the eating of eyes and fingernails (hooves?) isn't a thing for our Ahuizotl. At least in my writing. It just doesn't fit within MLP. Kind of like how the Wendigos in MLP didn't have the cannibalism theme they do irl.]

Daring Do: *chuckles* You can call me Daring. Everyone in this thread already knows. Hmmm...  That's not a bad idea. There are a lot of stories I left out because there just wasn't anything thrilling to share. They led to dead ends or went so smoothly that there was no conflict to keep a reader invested. But they might be good material for a supplemental source! 

Ahuizotl: They do. I do not know them personally like I do Quetzalcoatl. But the Guardian Spirits meet on occasion, and the Sphinx has told me about them.

Daring Do: Hmm, possibly. I did a lot of writing in university of course, and I was always good at it, but it was a means to an end. Assignments to earn my degree. It only became fun when it became about my real calling: Adventuring!

Ahuizotl: I think you might have a "typo" there, ese. Try gnawed neck. *flashes neck scars again for a better look* There es not very much to tell though... es thes alcohol? *sniffs sake* *crinkles nose*  I usually drink pulque, but I will take anything at the moment. *downs it* *bites back the burn* *coughs* Not bad... Anyway, it es as I said before. I was a teenager, not yet a Guardian Spirit, patrolling around with other not-quite-stallions, pretending to be warriors. We passed by some of the village mares getting water from a river, said hola and kept walking. We did not get even a minute away when we heard them screaming. We ran back and... ugh...  "Cipactli" was chasing down one of the mares. I was not full grown, but I was still much bigger than any pony, so I ran headlong into the coward. We struggled a bit before I got my legs under it and kicked it back into the river. I was a bit dazed, and there was a lot of screaming, but I heard my name in there, so I turned to look. That was a mistake. Cipactli was still there. It lunged out of the water, bit down where my neck meets my shoulder, and pulled me in. The rest es a big blur of water, blood, screaming, and Etzli throwing me a spear, but as you can see... I am still here.

Daring Do: Sorry about that. ShadO's a nice lady, but she occasionally has the attention span of a goldfish. That's why it's better to do one question at a time, just it case she spaces out.  But if I'm honest, that was actually really adorable. So my adventures are tuned down a bit to teach foals how to read? I'm fine with that.

Since you're always doing outdoors things, I figured it would help.  Daring, Doctor, you two can trade if I got your personal style wrong. But Ahui, yours was custom ordered to fit only you, so you're kinda stuck with it.
