I feel alone, singled out, apathetic, melancholic, and unheard. So much so that I don't quite "feel" anything now, I just do. My personality is completely dysfunctional and I have degenerated into a simple calculating device filled with random facts. At this point I feel like I could be replaced with a Google voice mechanic and nobody would notice.

 

The only things on my mind are the things directly in front of me -- the fact that I can't sleep because I took a 3-hour power nap during the day to cool off from an angry fit, the fact that I'm sitting alone in the darkness with nobody but myself, and the fact that I'm being extremely redundant with my speech but I don't really give a damn. I'm only rambling to pass time, and hopefully talk myself to sleep.

Nervous. Shaking. My oboe teacher is having me do a recital in a few months. A recital. In addition to my audition in around a month. I threw away the idea of doing any of these things three years ago. Even moreso, during the late summer of last year I owned up to myself that I just do not work as a live performer. But in the strangest of all stories that very much included the one that had inspired me to think about recording myself for fun to show off to my friends, I ended up right back here, and in no time, too.

 

I do not know how to make this work, but I have to! Perhaps my teacher will help me lead up to it somehow? o.o
