Did gummy grow his teeth?

Well considering in the finale song he is large but we dont see his mouth open its hard to tell. But based on his voiceover he was an adult or near adult in the Slice of Life episode. So there is no reason to think that the lack of teeth was due to age.

But he was so small compared to the final episode.

Alligators don't reach sexual maturity until they are about 6 feet long, or 10 to 12 years old. An aligator can be smaller than this as an adult if it's growth has been stunted, but this isn't something that goes away, so him being able to grow over time must mean he's still in some stage of adolescence.

Aligators also replace their teeth as they're lost or worn down up to 50 times for each tooth. It's possible for a gator or croc to live long enough and have a rough lifestyle to go through their teeth, but this is not a common occurrence.

So Gummy must have some sort of random genetic defect, or someone was cruel and was ripping out his teeth like crazy before he fell into Pinkie Pie's hooves. My first guess would be that he was saved from a circus where a pony wanted to show themselves being chomped on by an aligator but didn't want to lose a limb, but even after removing all of those teeth, there'd still be a strong enough biteforce, not to mention the death roll maneuver to tear one off. Whatever the reason, my money's on him still being toothless.
