The developers of this show are geniuses. The main characters have 6 unique personalities and 6 unique kinds of beauty. It seems like most girls in the world can fall under one of these 6 characters, which is why they are so ingenious!

 

Anyways, here's the 6 kinds of beauty the mane 6 have.

 

Twilight: She's the intelligent beautiful. You can even go on to say she's the "sexy librarian" type. She's smart, talented. and pretty.

 

"Pretty"

 

Applejack: She's that country blonde kind of beautiful. She works hard and isn't afraid to get dirty. I'd call her pretty too.

 

"Hot"

 

Rainbow Dash: Ever seen that hot chick running on the track? She's hot because she's the fit-athletic type.

 

"Fitness hot"

 

Pinkie Pie: This pony's the hyper-cute type. Everyone has met this kind of girl before. The more hyper she is the more cute she is.

 

"Hyper cute"

 

Rarity: Super hot, she pays close attention to her appearance and loves to show it off. Her eyes, mane, and coat all contribute to a beautiful pony. Pinnacle of pony beauty.

 

"Beautiful"

 

Fluttershy: In my opinion (all this is my opinion), Fluttershy is the proto-typical cute girl. She's shy but if you can warm her up to you she's the cutest girl around.

What you list is rather their different personalities, not any "beauty-variants".

Sure, personalities can be pleasant, but they are not beauty.

If one defines several kinds of beauty, you'd probably find that there are way more than six.

Personally, i define cute as cute, not as beauty.

Never even heard of, nor noticed such a thing before. Truly a nice discovery ^^ I agree. i also agree that there are many more types than that, though. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and has hundreds of forms. These do seem to be the top most generic/stereotypical/whatever you want to call it ones, though.
