We get to see what the higher up levels of the town look like, which look really neat! Also, the camera angle on these is really unique in places and makes me wish we had that in gameplay because the game looks even more beautiful from a more horizontal view like that.

Most noticeable to me, though? In the Direct there was an ocarina shown if you paid close enough attention. In this trailer (the second one, I think?) you see the character actually playing it! I saw people speculating that it might be playable and I scoffed that off as fantasy, but it actually is true! God, I hope that the ocarina isn't the only wind instrument added. I fear it's just there because of Zelda, but AC has been lacking in wind instruments, and it's time for that to change! Considering how many keyboard, string, and percussion instruments there are, we should have a full wind ensemble of brass and woodwind instruments in the game at this point, in addition to world wind instruments.

But I went off on a tangent... It's playable. It's probably just a simple preset like when you 'play' instruments in the past ACs, but it would be neat if it played like in Zelda where you could actually choose the notes that play.

You know what would be REALLY cool??  Like maybe there could be a special character that hands out free sheet music through special events through-out the year or something?

Yep, there's going to be an app but you can only use it if you have a subscription though, at least I think?  You can voice chat, text and use QR codes from New Leaf.  I hope we can still use the online play if we don't have a phone that can properly connect to the internet(like my poor old phone can't connect to internet at all :worry:)

The Nintendo Switch itself connects to Online Play. You don't need a phone to do basic online conectivity like visiting other players' island. Only if you want to use voice chat

Ah ok, a part of me was feeling a bit paranoid over that.

I'm trying not to too but at the same time I want to know EVERYTHING.  Just want to get my grubby little hands all over this game, right now.

10 days to go!!!  Has anyone tried planning their islands with that island designer tool someone made?  Here's mine from what they have available.  I'd really like to make sections, like, one spot could be residential and another business, etc.  Ultimately, I'd like to do something like this if I can at some point in my playthrough...  A little suburb with the museum on it's own, stairs going up to the higher part, an orchard etc,.  The grey paths are going to be my paths going about and I left a section open to do whatever with.  idk just thinking about the possibilities.  I haven't really been watching any acnh news videos recently, trying to not build my expectations too high and would like to be a little surprised at this point.  Can't wait to play this game!!!  I think I'm going to try and make some freckles for my boy at the start if I can.

Speaking of new horizons, there's a new horizons event that's going on in animal crossing pocket camp and you get these new horizons items as well however you can only obtain these items in this current fishing tournament in pocket camp. I'm not sure if they can be obtained as a re-issued items, but hopefully if it's a 1-year anniversary of new horizons although that's probably too soon to find out

You guys wanna be careful when picking up your physical copy of AC NH. The stores have been pretty busy lately with all the long lines at the checkout counter areas coming in and business hours have changed. If you guys are getting the game as a digital download copy, then you shouldn't worry about it.

I pre-ordered a digital copy off of the Nintendo shop as soon as I saw it on there.  Could barely get enough sleep last night, I'm so excited.

I called my retailer. They’re willing to cooperate and try to just send me a code so I don’t have to go out there, but they’re still trying to figure out how they can go about it

I live in Canada, it was $80 CAD here and with taxes it was $90 CAD.  I'm pretty sure the game in USD will be about $60?  That's what I'm seeing on different sites anyways.  That's for the standard edition, both physical and digital.

I can confirm that all Triple A Nintendo Switch games MSRP tend to be $60.
