"Well, that's both good and bad...just try not to give away too much because he may be watching..." Thundy said softly so that Dynamo could only hear. "As far as this fight goes, Tarsal is doing a great job. This is mental. He's in Cheap's head. As long long as he maintains this, he could get Cheap angry enough, that he tries so hard and his strikes leave him wide open. Of course...easier said than done." Thundy commented.

“I’m getting a little impatient, too, Chelsea,” Pencil admitted. She broke eye contact for a moment to take a look at the arena. It seemed it would still be a while until it was Thundy’s turn. “Opia, you said? I’ve never heard of her before. I-I guess she’s shy or something and that’s why she didn’t talk.”

Sparkly sat up, alerted by the mysterious mare’s name. She felt like she had heard that name before but was not sure where. Turning towards Chelsea, she said,

“I feel like I know this mare…where is she located?”

A curious expression was drawn across her face. She wanted to talk to this mare and perhaps get the information out of her that Chelsea could not.

"She was sitting not too far from where I was. Hmmm...." Chelsea thought out loud as she looked around. "I don't think I see her around...she must've gone somewhere..." Chelsea said gathering some water abilities. She retraced where Opia went and finally figured it out. "Wait a second....she's...talking with...Mayor...Black..." Chelsea said trying to keep it down so nopony else could hear but Pencil and Sparkly.

“She’s what?” Pencil gasped, keeping her voice at a whisper. “Wwait, how did he get here?”

Pencil looked at Sparkly with a confused frown. She wondered if she was feeling the same way. Sparkly was a bit perplexed herself but had known that Mayor Black had been hopping in and out of the tournament area today.

“I had seen him around earlier today but I am not sure as to why he’s speaking with such a mysterious mare. Could be be planning something mysterious of his own? Something about this doesn’t sit right with me…” she spoke, also keeping her voice at a whisper.

"Hmmm, one moment..." Chelsea said as she closed her eyes. Her mane started to glow a deep aqua blue as she replayed all of the events that occured here. She saw how Mayor Black was disguised as a fighter named "Tiger Muscle", and how after he lost, he made his leave. Chelsea opened her eyes as her mane returned to it's normal hue, except for the set of blue locks in her mane. "So...get this. Mayor Black actually disguised himself as a fighter during the prelims. He then left. Opia arrived and tried to talk to her. She hardly said anything and left. She then crossed paths with Mayor Black...they're talking to each other as of now..." Chelsea stated.

Dynamo’s ears perked up as he heard Thundy’s whisper towards him. It was quiet, but it was directed at him for the unicorn to hear. With a nod, he leaned closely towards the griffon so they could discuss in a hushed whisper. “You can say that again, but that’s easier said than done. I get the idea of not giving too much info away, but we can’t underestimate our opponents. With each ability that I can transform into, then I should be okay. It wouldn’t be the best if someone knew everything and anything about that particular ability, but I can always keep them guessing at the same time.” He explained, moving away from Thundy’s ear as he turned his attention back towards the match. “That’s true when you put it that way. Changelings are able to transform into just about anything. So, it fits with the idea of mind games. As long as he can keep getting into Cheap’s head, then Tarsal has a chance.” He would say, a look of worry was present upon his face. “At least, I hope so. Cheap has a way to try and persuade you in regards to his business deals. So, he can be smart, in a way. I’d you can believe that. I can get the whole making him angry will cause Cheap to make some mistakes, but I’m not sure. Being an earth pony, they are pretty durable and physically strong. So, Cheap may be able to take a few hits, but I guess we’ll see what Tarsal has in mind.” He explained as he watched the earth pony and transformed changeling having an argument with one another. He wasn’t taking Cheap’s side as he gave his explanation. Far from it, in fact. It was more along the lines of explaining how Cheap and the others ticked. Considering how the gaming unicorn had grown up with the three bullies for so many years.

Pencil put a hoof to her chin thoughtfully. She wondered what the existence of “Tiger Muscle” meant for the town.

“Tiger Muscle was Mayor Black this whole time? Huh, weird. Wonder what he made that whole disguise for.” she wondered aloud.

“I had a feeling he was familiar from the moment I saw him,” Sparkly commented with disdain. “I wonder, does he want something out of this whole tournament or is he sincerely trying to participate for the fun of it?”

@Samurai Equine

Pencil turned to the now teenaged Final who had mentioned earlier that he could speak to Opia. The option may be risky, but since Opia was not a long-standing resident of this town yet, it was worth a shot. Who knows, maybe he could access some very useful information!

“You know, Final, that doesn’t sound like a bad idea, talking to Opia. You have a lot of cool knowledge to share, maybe she’ll find it interesting.” Pencil said.

"That could be an idea. I really hope that Final could get Opia to speak. I'm not sure why she's so quiet..." Chelsea said. "It's really strange that Mayor Black would join this tournament. You may be right that he just wanted to join for the fun of it..." Chelsea added, thinking about Mayor Black.

After some nodding, Final passes his popcorn to Pencil. "Hold my popcorn. ... Oh, and help yourself. I'll be right back. Shibbidy, shabbidy, shabbooya~!" And with that, he teleports, making jazz hooves on the way out.

@Starforce

"Lots of things are too good to be true. But sometimes you just gotta roll with it and make do with what you have. If it wasn't meant to be, tough biscuits. Pack it up, make the most of things, and work with what you can get away with. If it's true, then own the situation. Make it yours before anyone else can." The mayor says before whipping out a cigar. "Fighting? Well, my brother probably considers it letting the citizens have their voice and prove their passion for Friendshire. Personally, I call it scouting for a militia. Can't be having another evil invasion like last time. I don't necessarily approve my brother's way of doing things, but if it yields results, that's good enough. I actually joined the fights earlier. Not because I care about fighting, but because I was trying to weed out the weaklings, the greedy leaches, the show-offs, and anyone who didn't actually care about this town. You wouldn't believe how many were easy to convince to step away once I flashed some cash their way. Heh. Good riddance, I say. If they're that easily swayed, then who needs 'em." The mayor sure does speak a lot.

At that moment, Final appears beside them via teleportation. "Ah! Sweet Celestia, kid. You know you could give a pony a heartache doing that? I could sue you for endangerment." Mayor Black says. "Pay me no mind, for I am a time traveling pony, here to~ ...Well, I'm not sure yet. Hi, my name is Final! And if my timeline is correct, then that makes you..." He points to the strange mare. "...Opia. Is that correct?" The time traveling pony looks more like an edgy teenager, and the braces makes his words slightly slurred and a little spitty.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

@Courageous Thunder Dash, @Dynamo Pad

Alhimar puts his book away. "It's true. We are all destined to fight in this tournament correct? I want to be prepared for that, regardless of who I am fighting. It's not like we can be friends because of this..." Alhimar begins. "NO! It's not true. You've got it all wrong. We CAN be friends." Samurai sternly insists, giving Alhimar a slight fright. "...We can?" Alhimar asks. "Of course we can!" Samurai still insists. "...I don't understand. That doesn't make sense. We're all going to fight each other. How can we be friends despite that?" Alhimar says.

Meanwhile,

"It's actually much simpler then that. I'm a yak, remember? My kind is known for smashing and destroying. We're not banned from your libraries, but when ponies see someone like me in there, they all get nervous. I see it in their eyes, their body language. They're afraid I'll suddenly go wild and start smashing indiscriminately. If I went in with a pony that could vouch for me, it would make other ponies feel at ease, and I wouldn't feel unwelcome." Calhoun explains. He takes a moment to feel that mat on the wall, then sits down with his back against the wall. Reaching into his satchel, he pulls out a book about philosophy and begins reading. The text is two or three times bigger than the normal sized text in most other books. ... Calhoun sometimes brings it closer to his face as he reads before bringing it back down. "This is one of the few books I managed to buy for myself. Collect them whenever you can and hope it someday amounts to something."

Fold lightly nods. "My line of work includes gathering intel and silencing opponents without leaving any trace of my arrival. Doing so requires very accurate precision. I am not leader material, you clearly are." Fold observes.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

@Dynamo Pad

"Oh please, I'm not copycat. I'm the Cheap Shot you wish you were!" Fake Cheap replies. "...Wow, you're right, that really doesn't sound good out loud." For a moment, it looks like they are just going to constantly through accusations of who's who at each other. But then Cheap says something that makes F. Cheap raise an eyebrow. "An offer, huh?" He looks around and leans in close. "All right, whatcha got? Are there real bits involved? You better not be conning me, dude! I've met better back ally con ponies in my foalhood hometown than you've ever seen in all the biggest cities."

"Isn't this suppose to be a fighting tournament? Feels like this could go on forever." Mayor White doesn't seem to like where this is going. "Strap in mares and gentlecolts, we're going to be here a while..." Straightaway sighs. "WILL ONE OF YOU PLEASE THROW A PUNCH ALL READY!!!" Elusive yells, annoyed.

Dynamo tilted his head as he turned his attention back towards Alhimar and Samurai. The word 'destined' reminded the unicorn of Cosmic. Especially how he threw his idea of destiny upon those who were unfortunate to cross paths with the neon green unicorn. He shook his head as he tried to push those thoughts out of his mind as he wanted to give the zebra the benefit of the doubt. "I think it's understandable to be prepared for the fights ahead, but Samurai is right. We definitely can be friends after the battles are over in the tournament." He smiled softly, nodding in agreement with his brother's words. "It might be difficult to explain, but here's my take on it. When you fight, it's like you find an understanding with who your opponent is. That, or you can feel that passionate flame building in both yours and your opponent's souls. It's like being able to have fun and to enjoy the fight at the end of it all." He started, before feeling like that kind of feeling was familiar. "I know it might not be the same, but for me? I like the play video games and compete in tournaments. When you watch someone play, it's like gaining information on how they fight. Even if you do, there will always be different strategies you may not have realized. However, when you are fighting and sitting next to each other. You start to feel a feeling of understanding, or a connection between each other. Even when words aren't necessary, you just know that you met a worthy rival and friend to help push you to become greater. Just the same way that you can push them to new heights in the process. It's why I love video games as even if there isn't a tournament. Video games, to me, help me to build connections from others, who are able to build their connections to others, as well." He explains, unsure if what he had said made any sense, but he tried to speak from his heart. "So, you see? To me, you don't seem like a bad individual. It's more as if you're misunderstood, or something along those lines. So, if Sam wants to be your friend, then I hope you'd like to be friends, as well."

Meanwhile,

@Samurai Equine

As he listened to Calhoun speak, Frozen had taken notice of the mention of the body language of others that saw him. "So, you have special eyes like I do too, huh? Glad to know that you're not banned from our libraries as it would be a shame. To be denied just because you want to expand your knowledge, but are different from us. Still, just because your different from your kind. It still shouldn't mean that you want to show that you are still yourself as you wish to see what knowledge is out there to obtain. I work hard to find different kinds of strategies in logic and show that my way of thinking is flawless. A goal that foolish Pad had gone to ruin. Nevertheless, it's still unbecoming to be unwelcome from the masses. It's why I find my kind to be most putrid and vile." He scoffed, his eyes training on the yak, who sat with his back against the wall. He even watched as Calhoun felt the mat upon the wall. An action that made Frozen wonder if he questioned his strength vs his ideals in knowledge. At least, that's how the pegasus viewed as he wasn't sure if it was right to ask. Might have been personal, but he didn't care as it didn't concern him. Moving towards the yak, he sat down next to Calhoun as he began to read. Taking glances at the book, before glancing up at the yak, who literally had his nose in the book. "One of the few, huh? I'm lead to believe that you have others, or is that you're only one, so far? It's very impressive to get that kind of book. Feels as if a book can say a lot about someone. That, along with curiosity to see what information is held within the text. I have to admit that whatever you try to amount towards, I think you might have a chance." To some, it was like he was saying that without a care. However, Frozen had to admit it was a nice change of pace meeting someone that shared what he considered similar interests. 'Perhaps he could work alongside us in our group. Who knows? With two brilliant minds, then it's a guaranteed success to any other plans that we'd plan out. I'm not sure if he would agree, but it might be worth a try. Would be wise to speak with Cosmic, of course. It's naturally the logically best answer.'

Speaking of Cosmic, the unicorn had taken a bite of his orange peel as he listened to Fold speak. "Gathering intel, huh? Pretty brave given your size and stature. I can imagine you have a way to gain information without being caught?" He asks, whistling at the mention of leaving no traces and having accurate precision. "When you speak like that, you sound as if you're an assassin of sorts. Even if it's not that close, I still find that respectable. I kind of like your style." Cosmic smirked, wondering if Fold would enjoy working together with his team. Even if he thought that, he still didn't want to be all  friendly with the spider creature. To Cosmic, this could be Fold's way of getting to him to turn his back on the unicorn later. He'd wait and see as he wanted to see where this road had lead for him and his group.

The real Cheap gritted his teeth as the Tarsal's tenacity. "I am me, you fool! So there! I'm way more of me than you are of me, you fake and fraud!" He pointed at the changeling, turned pony. Hearing Tarsal's comment of not sounding good out loud had caused Cheap to momentarily fall towards the ground. Shaking his head, he looked up as he stood back up from his surprised fall. "You think!? Even I would have known not to say something ridiculous like that!" He exclaimed, a moment passing as he grinned sheepishly. "Well...okay. Maybe I would, but it's odd, ya know? Everyone loves to make that comparison of my name to an actual cheap shot you'd give someone in a fight, or even in a video game. So, it sounds right, but doesn't at the same time. I mean, seriously!? How does something like that work?" Shaking his head at his supposed argument with himself. Cheap sucked in a breath as Tarsal had wondered about the offer he had to give.

Just as he was about to discuss the deal, a tick mark began to form on his forehead. Hearing the judges list of complaints was starting to get on the burgundy earth pony's nerves. It didn't help that he had to listen to some of the murmuring of the crowd to boot. "Oh, zip it all of you! Can't you see I'm having a discussion with myself!?" He asks, before realizing what he had said. "Okay, so maybe that came out wrong or could have been better handled." He shook his head slightly as he knew he should just talk instead of pondering. Unless he was starting to go crazy already, if not, then already crazy to begin with. "So, let us see. First of all, it's not conning my good sir. I've seen my fair share of back ally deals with con artists. Some were actually good with deals. Some were the low of the low and I loved every second of those partnerships. Don't you live in some sort of hive? What happened? You have to go to different nesting areas to have your supposed back ally deals?" He asks, holding his front left hoof to use as air quotes, before chuckling. "Just kidding! Maybe? Anyway, it's like I said is that you seem to be the strong fellow, yeah? How about you drop out of this and I'll give you a good payment deal. You work for my father as security and we'll give you all the bits you could ask for. Just like a job, but you work for the percentage. Let's say sixty to forty. No, wait! Eighty to twenty as the partnership. How's that? Sound like a plan?" He held a hoof out in the hopes that Tarsal would shake the hoof. If he didn't like the deal, then he'd make sure to oblige Elusive and throw a punch.

"Alhimer, we can be friends. It doesn't matter if we're fighting in a tournament. There are no enemies around here...that is...unless you let yourself think that someone is an enemy, which won't be good." Thundy stated. "As my bro Dynamo said, you may seem misunderstood..." Thundy said gently picking up Dynamo and holding him close. "I may be a griffon and Dynamo here may be a unicorn, but I consider Dynamo to be more than a friend to me, my brother, because we have much more in common than you think...and our connection has strengthened...tenfold...especially with what just happened..." Thundy said nuzzling Dynamo, before putting him down.

He then heard Elusive shout to throw a punch. "Wow...that argument is still going on...ugh...this is one of the most boring fights..." Thundy commented.

Final flinches a little. "Ooh, you're kind of scary. And why shouldn't I know your name? I told you, I'm a time traveler. Maybe we've all ready met before and you just don't know it yet. Besides, what's the harm in just one conversation?" Final asks.

Mayor Black, after getting a closer look at Final, is suddenly filled with shock. His eyes go wide. "It... it can't be. That's impossible. Why here? Why now of all times?" Mayor Black says rather quietly. "Hmm? You say something, mister?" Final asks, looking up at him. "Don't you recognize me?" Mayor Black asks in a very genuine way. "No, I don't think so. Unless this is suppose to be the first time we've met! Time travel is a funny thing like that. What's your name?" Final asks. "But you're..." Mayor Black begins, but then shakes his head, as if coming to his senses. "Nevermind! I actually agree with this mare here. Unless you have some important business with us, then beat it, kid. I have no business with you and I don't intend on giving up my seat. It's all ready crowded enough." Mayor Black says, lighting his cigar and huffing it.

"Sheesh. Fine then. I'll go for now, but there may be a day where you'll see me again. You might even need my help." Final says before teleporting again.

@ExplosionMare, @Courageous Thunder Dash, @Ragland Tiger

Final reappears beside his friends, taking back his original seat. "They, uh... They want to be left alone. Adamantly. But you were right about one thing, Chelsea. Her name is Opia. If I had to guess, don't try to start any conversations with her. If she wants to say something to you, she'll find you first. Otherwise, she wants to be left alone. And maybe she decides when she wants others to talk to her or not." Final explains.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

@Courageous Thunder Dash, @Dynamo Pad

"But will you still be friends, even if you have to face each other in the ring? Even if you have the worst fight possible?" Alhimar asks. "But of course! These friends of mine are my new family, and that's not something you give up on. We might end up throwing hooves or talons at each other today, but we know it's all in good fun, and we'd never take it too far." Samurai says, smirking at at Thundy and Dynamo. "Such ideas are foreign to me. Where I come from, one does not throw hooves in a fight, unless they mean it. One does not stay friends after such an act." Alhimar states. "Well maybe today is a day to learn new things. For instance, I always heard that zebras spoke in rhymes, but you seem to be the exception." Samurai admits.

Meanwhile,

Calhoun nods. "Thanks, you too I guess. You also seem very educated." He stops reading to reach into his satchel. He misses it the first time, but gets into it the second. He digs around carefully and deliberately, and pulls out 4 other books. Each one an advance topic; such as advanced theoretical physics and technology. Each one has really big text. "You can read them if you like, but I'll want them back when you're done. Also, if I may ask, are you glasses prescription?" Calhoun asks.

Lightning Dusk finishes her work out and grabs her towel. "I need a nutritional drink." She says to herself before heading out. On the way, she bumps into one of the fighters; a goat. "Hey! Watch where you're going!" She says. "Baaaah! You don't talk to me! I use to be Iron Will's assistant, I'll have you know." The goat says with a bleat. The two of them angrily stare down at each other before passing. Lightning Dusk heads for the lounge, momentarily passing Dynamo, Samurai, Thundy, and Alhimar on the way there.

Fold is happy to let Cosmic have every orange slice. The giant spider doesn't seem interested in the fruit. He nods at Cosmic's comments. "And I admire your style as well. Perhaps when this is all over, I could do one task for you. I all ready have a master I report to, but I can at least offer you one free request."

--------------------------------------------------------------------

@Dynamo Pad

"YEAH it sounds odd! I mean I know I'm Cheap Shot, but just because that's my name doesn't mean everything I do is cheap! Who do they think I am; some kind of Nay-Mart clearance item?!" Other Cheap says, almost wanting to rip out his own mane. Seems they both share an annoyance over the naming conventions that ponies are usually stuck with. He then hears the jeers of Elusive. "Yeah!! You don't talk to me or me like that, ever! ... You know what I mean!" Other Cheap replies to her, also shaking his head.

Other Cheap leans in and listens closely. "What? No, you handsome dog! I'm the real Cheap, remember? You're the changeling. We need to get nametags or something." Seems he's still insistent on that. Still, other Cheap listens to the deal carefully. "WHAT?! Seriously?! You expect me to back out of this for twenty percent? You gotta be outta your mind. I'll take eighty-five percent, and you can have fifteen. No more, no less. Take it or leave it." Other Cheap says, waving off Cheap's hoof. Other Cheap might be getting ready to throw hooves as well

"I don't know who's who anymore... Is the first Cheap still the original? What if the other one is the real deal? Maybe the changeling is doing such a good job of imitating that even he truly believes he's Cheap now." Mayor White speculates. Straightaway says nothing, he's too busy whispering to a staff member, ordering a daffodil salad. Elusive is squirming, kicking her hooves, and acting like a bored and cranky child on a long road trip.

Upon hearing Alhimar's question, Dynamo had a look of uncertainty in his eyes. With how the selection was randomized, there may have been a chance where they could have been made to fight each other. He knew that he would probably have to fight the others at some point in the tournament, but could he face them? Hearing Samurai's response to the thought had caused Dynamo to blink in surprise. Looking towards the asian pony, the gaming unicorn couldn't help himself as the look of uncertainty dissolved, before a small smile began to form. Being picked up by Thundy, while being held close helped in his worries washing away. "Both of them are right, you know?" He spoke up, trying to gain Alhimar's attention. "Both Sam and Thundy are my friends and they're family, as well. Some of the others I've met when coming to this town are considered close friends to me and loved ones, as well. Especially after some of the things that had happened recently." He closed his eyes briefly as he recalled some of the events that had transpired with Cosmic. Opening his eyes once more, he gave the zebra and expression of understanding.

"My onii-san makes a very valid point. It's always good to try and learn new things. Especially when it comes to seeing new perspectives in regards to fighting. I may have moments where I don't want to lose, but I want to be able to see how far I can go. Always to test myself and to see where I can improve upon. Both in video games and real life when it comes to magic." He would say, chuckling and rolling his eyes playfully at Samurai's comment and smirk with his own. "It's like what Thundy had said, as well. We may be different creatures, but that doesn't mean we can't be friends at the end of the day. We have a lot in common and have built a connection. So, sometimes a tournament like this can help further build that strong connection, while also pushing each other into becoming stronger. So, I would still give this tournament a chance to see how things can go. You might make a few new friends at the end of the day, you know?" He smiles, returning Thundy's nuzzle as his hooves were placed back upon the ground. He had to admit that he had never heard of a zebra speaking in rhymes before, but it did sound interesting to the blue unicorn. He had a look of concern as he heard the griffon's remark about letting one think of someone being an enemy. With everything that had happened today, he wondered if Thundy was referring to Cosmic and his teammates being those enemies.

Meanwhile,

@Samurai Equine
"You're welcome. I would say very bright or studious, but educated would be more of the correct terminology." Frozen responded, his eyes taking focus of Calhoun's hoof. Watching as the yak had dug through his satchel, while missing every now and then. Just before Calhoun had pulled four other books such as technology, or advanced theoretical physics. Taking a book that was offered by the yak, Frozen didn't nod to give any indication of Calhouns offer to borrow or give it back. "Yeah, sure. I do have to say I haven't seen some of these books before. A majority of the things I read tend to be more along the lines of strategy. For example, chess, video games such as Pokemon or even card games." Frozen would dabble into some video games, but was more suited to strategical games. It was through those games where he could truly shine. As he looked through the books, he noticed that some of the text was much bigger than normal. His ears perked as he heard the question, but didn't look up from his book. "Oh, yeah. I didn't exactly have the best eyesight when I was younger. So, I was given prescription glasses to see. Although, others have told me that I have really good perception of others when it comes to my eyes." He explained, before a sudden thought crossed his mind. Looking up from the text, he looked over at Calhoun as the pieces were being lined up.

The giant text, the way Calhoun had gotten close to Frozen's face, the difficulty in searching through his satchel, as well as the question about his glasses. "If I may inquire something, but do you not have a good eyesight? Don't you have any glasses, Calhoun?"

As he took another orange slice, Cosmic had decided to take the rest as it seemed that Fold wasn't interested. It didn't matter to the neon green unicorn as he was planning on taking everything for himself. "You admire my style? I'm guessing you saw how I was fighting in the preliminary stage of the tournament. Thanks for the compliment as I've worked on perfecting my craft. You wouldn't believe it, but I found a special gift that takes my abilities to the next level. I'm still keeping things under wraps as I wouldn't want anyone to find out." He winked with a smug smirk, before raising an eyebrow at the mention of a task. "That's a shame as it seems interesting if we could work together. You seem to fit what I'm looking for, but first. How did you know that I was thinking of that? Besides being a possible assassin, are you perhaps a mind reader? Both seem to be a very powerful combination for someone of your caliber." He would say, contemplating on the idea of a free request. "Well, I can't just deny a free request, but I'll let you know if there's something I need. Your services are very appreciated." He almost grimaced at the mention of appreciation. However, he couldn't deny that he could use this spider creature to his advantages. Unless these services would come back to haunt him in the end. If that was the case, then he'd make sure to handle those that would cause him harm. For the moment, he extended a hoof to either give Fold a fist bump or a hoof shake.

As Dynamo and the others had turned back towards the fight, the blue unicorn's ears perked as he thought he had heard the sound of yelling. Looking towards the source, he had noticed a light turquoise mare, who was wearing a black and green flight suit. "Hey, Thundy? Was that Lightning Dust, the one that I'm going to fight?” He s whispered, but low enough for Thundy and the others to hear. His ears soon fell as he heard the sound of both Cheap and Tarsal yelling at each other. Looking back, Dynamo had to agree with his griffon brother as the fight wasn't going anywhere for the time being. "I wonder if this is Tarsal's way of trying to turn things around on Cheap. Sort of messing with his head in order to get Cheap to withdraw, or at least catch him off guard."

Back in the fight, Cheap couldn’t help himself to nodding at his doppelgängers argument. “I know, right? Im not a cheap item for sale. Im top of the line and one of a kind!” He exclaims, wrapping a hoof around the transformed Tarsal’ shoulder as he backed him up from Elusive’s remark. “I agree! That’s a very good argument! I would totally listen to what he says, or what I said. You know what I mean!” Gasping at the compliment, he held a good over his free hoof over his heart. “I knew I was handsome, but never this gorgeous. Even if you are the changeling fake. Name tags would be a good idea. Just make sure we don’t have to wear matching vests or suits or ties.” He brought the hoof from his chest towards his face. Just before licking his hoof and trying to slick his face. To the earth pony, it was like staring into a mirror when getting ready for the day. As the deal was changed, Cheap gasped once more at the insulting offer.

“Oh, please. I’m all about deals, but I’m worth more than a measly fifteen percent. You can take that offer and tell it to someone who cares. I may be out of my mind, but at least I have a mind! Unlike you, who’s got no mind to begin with. You fake and fraud!” He growled as his held out hoof was brushed aside. His growling soon ceased as a sudden thought came to him. “Uh oh…” His eyes shrank as a hint of worry was starting to show. “What if I really am the fake? Just a changeling trying to play pretend? I must’ve forgot as I’m trying to do an amazing job of being myself. I am he as you are. Unless you’re him…” He closed his eyes as his shoulders sulked in fear of that reality. After a moment, his eyes opened wide as a new thought had crossed his mind. “Oh, who cares! I know I’m the real me and I’m going to prove it by winning this fight!” He exclaimed, pulling back a front hoof, before throwing it at the changeling duplicate. If it connects, then it would send the changeling back a few feet. If this fake wanted to prove he was the actual Cheap Shot, the he would have to prove it by trying to overpower the earth pony’s strength.

"Ahlimer, where I come from, people have friendly sparring matches. Sports called Boxing, wrestling and MMA are all part of it. Yes, there's a loser and yes, rivalries form, but it's all part of the competition. We may get hyped up and swept up in the competition, but we don't let that get in the way of our friendship, because in the end, it's just a friendly fight for fun, even a tournament like this doesn't warrant the loss of friendship." Thundy explained.

"Oh...I see..." Chelsea said with a rather disappointed expression.

Mayor Black is a little confused. He hesitates when he sees the display of magic, but then takes the flower offered to him. "Uhh... Thanks, I guess." He examines it, then put it in the pocket of his dress shirt. "So if that pesky time traveler is correct, you're Opia, correct? Well I'm Black. Black Ziggurate." He looks around before leaning in closer to whisper to her. "I'm one of the mayors here." He moves back to where he was. "But don't go spreading it around. Last thing I want is paparazzi, fans going crazy, or any unnecessary attention like that. I just want to watch the show in peace." Mayor Black explains.

"And of course I don't care. Look at me, I'm an old pony. I'm curmudgeon but I'm not senile. I'm too old to be caring about every little thing. When you're my age, you just might agree; if you don't all ready." Mayor Black adds before he goes back to watching the show.

@ExplosionMare, @Courageous Thunder Dash, @Ragland Tiger

"Don't worry, Chelsea! With kindness like yours, I'm sure she'll come around eventually." Final does his best to cheer her up. "Though, I feel like this Mayor Black guy is different some how. Opia knows what she wants, but Black just seems like a jerk. Is that normal?" Final asks.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

@Courageous Thunder Dash, @Dynamo Pad

"Huh... Friendly fighting... I see. I shall do my best to understand this." Alhimar pulls out his book and writes the new data down, making sure the other three cannot see what he has written. "Oh, and to answer your question... No, I do not rhyme, like others of my kind. Sometimes I try, but only when I really want to, or when I want to blend in with my kind." Alhimar explains.

"Eh? Where?" Samurai looks around at Dynamo's request, but it's too late. Lightning has all ready left to the longue before he could spot her. "I don't see anything."

Meanwhile,

Calhoun looks up from his book, looks around, and makes a 'shhh' motion. He leans in a little closer to Frozen. "Yaks aren't suppose to have bad eye sight, that includes nearsightedness. They can have hair in front of their eyes, which sometimes impedes their vision, but they can't have bad eye sight. So when ever I am back home, I cover my eyes and pretend it was just my hair getting in the way. Don't tell anyone." Calhoun says.

"I didn't. I was just being generous. But you just told me it was what you were thinking, so now I know." Fold tells Cosmic. "But if it's any consolation, if I didn't all ready have a master, I would consider follow you."

--------------------------------------------------------------------

@Dynamo Pad

Other Cheap follows Cheap's example, using him like a mirror to style his own mane as well. For a moment, Cheap gets existential, and it has an effect on Other Cheap. "But you're me, and I'm you, even though I'm me, so you're not you-you unless I'm you...?" But seeing Cheap return to their business deal gives him focus again. "Oh, so you're rejecting my generous offer, huh?! Well here's what I think of your attitude, pal!" Other Cheap exclaims, pulling back a front hoof, before throwing it at the first Cheap. The two punches connect and seem to cancel each other out, so they both pull back and rethink what to do next, both Cheap's annoyed with each other. ... "...Ow, dude." That is, until the Other Cheap breaks the imitation to shake out his punching hoof, showing that the first Cheap actually punched harder.

The sound of a punch knocks Elusive out of her bored stupor! She almost falls out of her chair, but quickly recovers to see what happened. "Huh?! Was that perfectly symmetrical violence?" Straightaway commentates, stopping himself from taking that first bite of his salad. "Almost! But one of the competitors managed to punch just a little harder. It could mean the real Cheap is stronger, or it could mean the opposite, that the Fake Cheap is the stronger one! Either way, the perfect reflection has been broken." Mayor White adds.

"I really do hope that whatever answers you find will bring you to a better understanding." Dynamo smiled, while hoping that some of the fights they would give Alhimar the answer he was looking for. As he was listening to the zebra speak, the gaming unicorn had thought he caught onto something. "I'm not entirely sure, but what you said had rhymed. No, I do not rhyme, like the others of my kind." He repeated back, before smiling once more. "I'm not entirely sure if it was intentional or unintentional, but I think that rhymed. It looks like you were a poet and you didn't even know it." He responded, blinking in realization at what he had said. "I guess the idea of rhyming is rubbing off on me." He chuckled as he was glad to have a good laugh with friends. As his laughter faded, Dynamo tilted his head in confusion as he looked around the area. However, he saw no sign of who he thought Lightning Dust could be seen. "Huh. I thought I had seen someone pass by, but I wasn't sure if that was Lightning or someone else." He shrugged his shoulders as he honestly wasn't sure.

Meanwhile,

@Samurai Equine

Frozen's ears perked slightly as he heard the sound of shushing. Looking up from the text, he noticed Calhoun looking around as if someone was listening in on their conversation. As the yak leaned in close, Frozen had stared around the area. As if not paying attention, but making sure to listen to what Calhoun had to say. "That's honestly rather surprising information to relay to me. Back where I'm from, we had learned small tidbits of information based on the other creatures. Never in my imagination would I discover that yaks could have bad eyesight." He whispered, making sure that nobody else could hear them chatting. "I always had trouble with being nearsighted. It's why I was given glasses as my eyes weren't perfect like others. Even though it's a pain, I wouldn't be worried about it. The fact that you don't have the best eyesight shows that maybe there's a reason for it. Perhaps it's because you're different and that it's not just strength, but skill of the mind. It's a plausible excuse to cover your eyes, but plans like that can only ever work for so long." He knew he was told not to tell, but he felt it would be better to let his leader know. Considering the fact that Calhoun and Cosmic were scheduled to fight soon. "My advice is show off the glasses or to show that one's different. So, you're not the best with eyesight. Who cares? If those yaks can't accept you for who you are, then they aren't your family or friends. Even if you walk out on your own, then you always have help in high places." In a way, it sounded like he was helping, but Frozen didn't care either way. It's what he'd like to say, but he did find Calhoun's conversation to be very pleasant.

Cosmic raised an eyebrow as he blinked his eyes at what he had heard. He had to admit that he was a slightly angry that he was played like a fool. However, in his defense, it was reassuring that Fold wasn't onto him. "That's really kind of you. I know you said that you take requests from time to time or from your master. I guess I make the exception in this case. It's still rather a shame that you work for a master. Otherwise, I would have asked if you'd like to come back with my team and I to Fillydelphia. We could always use more members for our team."

As Tarsal continued to talk as if he was Cheap, the real Cheap began to rub his two temples together with his two front hooves. "Ugh...this is too confusing! There should be a contest, or some kind of trivia portion to show who's the real Cheap and which one is a fake." He would say, yet he had a feeling he would fail that contest. Considering that trivia and strategy games were never his forte. As the other Cheap pulled back the same fist as the original, it looked as if both Cheap's were punching simultaneously. Just like you'd see in a mirror, but it didn't produce the same results. Cheap would have lied if he said he didn't feel the punch, but it didn't seem to do any damage. "I have to admit that was a nice kick. I always knew you were strong, or is that I always knew I was strong?" He wondered, watching as the imitation was broken from Tarsal, who was shaking out his punching hoof. "Aha! I knew you were the fake the whole time! You may try to act like me, but you can't truly be me, can you? That's what you get for rejecting any offer!" He smirked as if he had made a startling discovery. All the while, cracking his hooves in anticipation "If you can copy the appearance of an earth pony, then let's see if you also have their strong durability, then." He quickly rushed forward, turning his step as he had his back to the changeling. At the same time, ducking underneath to prepare for his strike. Pulling his back hooves inward, he quickly threw them both out towards Tarsal. If the attack connected, then he would send Tarsal flying, as well as continue his assault. If not, then he'd make sure to keep up the pressure.

Mayor Black scratches his head at Opia's words, for once at a loss of his own. That is, until she asks for cigar. "These aren't cheap, you know. I always spring for the absolute best. ... You are old enough to smoke, right?" Just as fast as he hesitates, he changes his mind. "Eh, what the buck. Everypony gets at least one free-bee out of me. But that's as far as I'll go. I earn my bits be being self-sufficient, and I expect every pony else to rise up and do the same. No offense, it's just fair play." He reaches into his stash of cigars and gives her one, lighting it up for her.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

@Courageous Thunder Dash, @Dynamo Pad

Dynamo's comment about the unintentional rhyme catches Alhimar off guard. It makes him flustered, he looks away. "No comment. I've said too much all ready." He says.

Samurai waits a second then nods. "I see... Not quite ready to open up about yourself. That's fine. We'll keep trying to earn your friendship, one way or another. If not here, then in the arena. Right, brothers?" Samurai asks Dynamo and Thundy.

Meanwhile,

Forzen's words are rewarded with a sly smile. He is about to argue otherwise, until a certain comment catches Calhoun's attention. "...Help in high places, huh? All right. Color me curious. Who exactly is it that can give me help from high up? Is it a pony or some other creature?"

--------------------------------------------------------------------

@Dynamo Pad

For a moment, other Cheap is beside himself, literally and figuratively. "Who you calling a fake, huh?! How do I know you're not a freakishly strong changeling?!" As Cheap dashes forward, so does Other Cheap. Once again, they are mirroring each other. But as Cheap winds up for a punch, Other Cheap does an amazing acrobatic flip over him, landing a few feet behind him. "... Actually, you know what? Scrap this. The imitation was fun for a while, but I think we should just settle this." Other Cheap says before revealing his true colors.

Tarsal shapeshifts one more time, dropping his disguise as Cheap, only to become a dragon that towers above Cheap! With a mighty roar, he takes to the skies and begins flying around above Cheap, trying to swipe at him with his big dragon claws/talons. When that doesn't work, Tarsal tries to breathe fire on him!

"Celstia's golden rump!! Hema bungled the seven! Er, I mean, he just took the fight up to 11!" Elusive says, banging her hooves on her desk with surprise. "That's right, Ms. Elusive. It seems Tarsal has finally come out of hiding and revealed himself! But will this new form be enough? Those flames look dangerous!" Straightaway adds, rather impressed, but not enough to stop eating his salad. "Perhaps, but for a dragon, his flame breath seems rather week. One normally expects an explosive inferno from a dragon that size, but these flames seem very controlled and straightforward, underwhelming one might say." Mayor White observes.

Dynamo blinked in confusion, while tilting his head as Alhimar had looked away. As he heard his comment, the gaming unicorn frowned as he wondered if he had said something that was considered rude. "I hope I didn't say anything wrong. If so, then I really hope you can forgive me. I guess I just happened to notice and thought the rhyming was pretty cool. Again, I'm really sorry, Alhimar." He would say, an apologetic expression upon his face. Even though he was opening up a little more with those he considered a friend. He still worried if it was okay to be himself at times. Even though he had heard Samurai's question. The gaming unicorn couldn't bring himself to respond, but instead nodding to let him know that he had heard his friend/brother.

Meanwhile,

@Samurai Equine

Frozen had listened to Calhoun's question, before chuckling as he adjusted his glasses. A shimmering light flashing over his glasses as his eyes came back into focus. "I know you said that you're pretty smart for a yak, but it should be obvious. After all, the answer was staring right in your face." He chuckled, pointing towards himself and then towards Cosmic. "That help from high up is me obviously. The same goes for Cosmic as we are looking for others to join in our ranks. I don't know where you'd stand, but you do seem like a nice ally of sorts. Well that, and because you and I seem to hit it off very well I might add. I can't tell you how long it's been since I met someone that shares a vast intellect. If you ever would like to join us, then that offer is always open." He wasn't sure if Calhoun would want to join Frozen's group, or share in their ideals. At any rate, it was still nice to be able to talk and share knowledge with someone like the yak.

@Ragland Tiger @Samurai Equine @ExplosionMare @Courageous Thunder Dash @Kronos the Revenant @Starforce @PawelS

As the group turned their attention back towards the fight, it looked as if Cheap and Tarsal had finally traded attacks with each other. Upon hearing Thundy's comment, Dynamo's ears suddenly perked. His look of concern and worry morphing into a look of excitement. "Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesh!" He exclaimed, a moment passing just as the gaming unicorn had realized what he had been doing. Closing his eyes, he rubbed the back of his neck with his front left hoof. A sheepish grin taking it's place upon his face as he gave a chuckle. "Uh...s-sorry about that. I think I mentioned before that I like memes like the Uganda Knuckles meme. I recently heard about the Sheesh meme, so I thought what Thundy had said was pretty fitting, you know?" He chuckled some more, a blush dusting his cheeks. Back with the fight, Cheap had noticed his doppelgänger was charging at him, as well. Almost as if they were playing a game of chicken to see who gets out of the way first, but it was Tarsal who moved first. Jumping out of the way to dodge Cheap's kick. Looking around for his opponent, the earth pony had quickly faced the changeling. "Oh, please. I heard most changelings had to become stronger by feeding off of love. Don't forget that they have the power to transform. So, they can look like someone, but are a poor imitation. Not a good deal, if you ask me." He smirked, closing his eyes as he shook his head.

Upon changing appearances, Cheap had breathed a sigh of relief knowing there weren't two Cheap's in the ring. "It's about time. Here I thought I was going to have to keep shadow boxing forever. I know I'm good looking and all, but I can't keep staring at the beautiful mug all the time." He laughed as he was joking around. He did have a plan to deal with Tarsal's impersonation of the burgundy earth pony, but now that wasn't the case. Instead, he was face to face with a dragon. "Now that's what I call an upgraded deal! This is more like it now! It's about time you started to turn up the heat!" He watched as swipe after swipe, the earth pony was dodging each attack from Tarsal's claws/talons. It was like watching a pattern as he kept track of when to dodge. There would be times he would strike back as he tried to intercept or redirect the dragon's attacks. Once Tarsal used fire breathing, Cheap had tried jumping away. Some traces of fire were lying on the ring as if trying to trap the earth pony or to trip him up. Listening to the commentary of the judges, Cheap had come to slowly realize that they were right. Holding a hoof over the flames, he learned that they weren't as hot as he anticipated. He wasn't sure if it was because of the gift or not, but he didn't care in the slightest. "Ah, I think I get it now. It seems as if I was worried for nothing. Now's my chance." He started to run in a zigzag pattern as he tried to confuse Tarsal's sight. All the while, running up towards the dragon to throw a flurry of punches and kicks to try and send his opponent back.

"The bigger they are, the harder they fall...and the more vulnerabilities they have..." Thundy said as he watched Cheap zig-zag around the dragon. "Just like Goku versus Bergamo...the bigger Bergamo became, the more open areas he had. Probably one big blow to send that dragon out the ring would do it." Thundy stated.

Mayor Black decides to just enjoy the silence and the show. Whether you support it or not, the fight is still impressive to watch.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

@Courageous Thunder Dash, @Dynamo Pad

Samurai sees Dynamo's worry and pats his back. "Don't think too much of it, Dynamo. You didn't hurt his feelings. I see what Alhimar is doing. He is an information gatherer, which means he doesn't want to give too much info about himself away. He feels like his advantage would be gone if we knew too much. Still, let's do our best to prove that this isn't a fight between enemies. Some may want that, but that doesn't have to be true for everyone." Samurai tries his best to reassure him.

For now, Samurai goes back to watching the fight. He hears a comment Thundy makes. "Goku... Bergamo... Is that a new character? I'm more familiar with older Dragon Ball stuff." Samurai asks.

Meanwhile,

Well that was a very interesting speech! It gives Calhoun something to think about. "Wow... When I signed up for this tournament, I wasn't expecting this. So you'll actually protect me? I've never had someone offer to do that for me before. That kind of makes me feel special." With a light blush, Calhoun rubs the back of his head. But a certain name drop catches his attention. "Hmm? Cosmic? Who is that?" He looks around. Oh, that's right, they signed up under code names. Calhoun would have no idea which one is Cosmic.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

@Dynamo Pad

To Tarsal's surprise, Cheap is managing to hold his own, and get in strikes whenever possible! Not even the flame breath is enough to keep Cheap from zigzagging around the arena. Tarsal manages to follow his movements, but it doesn't stop Cheap from landing some harsh attacks. Shaking his dragon head, as if dazed, Tarsal roars. He lands in the arena and tries to keep him at bay by swinging his large tail! Chances are, Cheap will dodge it, and when he does... Tarsal shapeshifts again! But this time, when the magical transformation completes... Tarsal is gone?! Nowhere to be seen.

"Guh! He's gone!" Elusive comments. "Either that, or his new transformation is something that conceals his presence from the naked eye." Straightaway adds, finished with his meal. "I've heard that even a small target can be just as vulnerable as a large target, depending on the foe." Mayor White says.

What they don't know is that Tarsal has transformed into the tiniest and lightest of insects, and has successfully landed on Cheap's back, hopefully without detection.

Dynamo blinks, almost jumping from the pat on his back. Looking over, he saw that it was Samurai, who was giving him comfort to his worries. "Okay and I'm sorry about that, Sam. I guess I'm just being paranoid after everything that's happened. I just hope that I'll be able to get through all of this. I know that everything is okay now, but I guess I still have a ways to go to overcome this." He explained, nodding as the asian pony's explanation made perfect sense. "That's understandable when you put it that way. It's better to keep the information safe than to reveal everything. If it was latter, then everyone would be able to figure out how to fight against you. So, I can respect that as I've been there through video game tournaments. There are matches where you can only pick one character to use throughout the round or match. If you lose, then you can switch, but then you wouldn't want to give away who you play. Considering the possibility if you are up against an unfavorable matchup later on. I know if my back was against the wall in a losing position, then I know I would have no choice. So, I can relate and respect Alhimar's way of fighting." He smiled, before having an uneasy expression at the mention of fighting between enemies. "I'll definitely do my best, but I can't really say the same for those that might be enemies. Especially since Cosmic and his team might be considered as enemies to you, Thundy, Kronos and others." The gaming unicorn would still do his best to show that this was a fight between competitors, but he would have to take this all one tournament match at a time.

As the mention of Dragon Ball was brought up, Dynamo had nodded towards Samurai's question of Bergamo. Upon hearing Thundy's explanation, the blue unicorn nodded once more as he wanted to let Samurai know that Thundy's explanation was accurate. "Hey, bro? If it's okay, I hope I can explain a little bit more." He would say, turning towards the yellow griffon, before turning back towards the asian pony. Almost as if he was stretching his neck before getting ready to fight. "Dragon Ball Super takes place a little after the Kid Buu arc and before the time skip where Goku fights Uub. What Thundy had said about there being multiverses is correct. As in Super, there are about 12 universes overall. When he learned of the discovery of different universes, Goku had hoped and asked for a universal tournament. Dubbing it, The Tournament of Power, they brought a majority of the 12 universes together to have a gigantic free for all fight between all the teams. Ten fighters from each team on a giant floating fighting arena, while duking it out for an allotted time. Whoever was the last one standing would be considered the winner. The winner can also be decided if there were more fighters from one team left standing, as well." He explained, going into more detail to further enhance Thundy's earlier explanation.

"The Trio De Danger was a team of three werewolf fighters. Bergamo, being blue, was able to become taller in size the more damage he took. Lavender, being yellow, uses poison to slow his opponent down. All the while, never fighting fairly. Lastly, there's Basil, being a red werewolf. His style is about using kicks to block energy, attacking enemies, and uses his ki to increase the power and speed of his kicks. The Trio De Danger are all brothers and care very much about one another. Goku, Gohan and Majin Buu had faced the trio in an exhibition, before the actual Tournament of Power." He would say, turning back towards Thundy with an understanding nod. "So, when you put it that way. That fight makes a lot of sense in comparison to this fight, bro. With how gigantic Tarsal had become, it almost looks like the fight between Goku vs Bergamo. I just hope that there's something that Tarsal can do, or he might be in trouble."

Meanwhile,

@Samurai Equine

"Well, protect is a kind of two way street, right? We can protect you, but I have the suspicion that you can protect us. I know you're a yak with strength, but you have a dangerous mind to boot. A strong and terrifying combination that one wouldn't expect. So, I do find that odd that you'd need protection. I hope you'd care to explain." He wasn't particularly phased from the light blush on Calhoun's cheeks. Upon the yak's confusion towards the name Cosmic, Frozen pinched the bridge of his nose. His glasses inching up his face as he did so. "My apologies. I forgot that you never knew his name as he went by a codename. When I mention the earth pony, Cheap, his codename is Greed. The neon green unicorn over there talking to that spider creature is named Cosmic. However, his codename for the tournament is Wrath. My codename is Brains, but my actual name is Frozen Abyss. We wanted to go undercover so nobody we knew would discover our whereabouts. Cosmic gave us these codenames as a means to fit with his team. Something along the lines of the team name being the Otaku Knights. Sounds more like knights who bore the title of the seven deadly sins. Well, Cosmic and Cheap do as Cosmic fits the idea of Wrath, while Cheap resembles Greed perfectly. I don't really fit that, but I do like my share of anime. So, I guess you could argue Lust for knowledge, so Brains fits?" He shrugged his shoulders, lowering his front hoof as his glasses fell back into place.

@Ragland Tiger @Samurai Equine @ExplosionMare @Kronos the Revenant @Courageous Thunder Dash @Starforce @PawelS

Cheap grinned as Tarsal managed to keep up with him, but it didn't matter to the burgundy earth pony. Each strike looked to have been effective as the dragon shook his head in a daze. With a roar, the earth pony could feel the ground shaking slightly from the power. "Aw, don't get mad. Get glad, okay? Unless that's your way of powering up, then let it all out, you big whiner." He chuckled as he was just messing with Tarsal at this point. Cheap managed to dodge the dragon's swinging tail as if he was using a jumprope. Once he saw another swing flying towards him, Cheap willing took the hit as the tail connected. Planting his back hooves to the ground, Cheap's grin hadn't left his face for a moment. "Not too shabby. That actually tickled and had a bit of pep to it. You're actually making some progress, copycat. A little more hits like that and you might be at an advantage. Keyword being might." Upon the hit being brought to a standstill, Cheap's eyes had flashed red momentarily. Using his strength to pick the dragon up, he was about to start swinging Tarsal around, before tossing him out of the ring. However, it seemed as if Tarsal had shape-shifted once again. One this time, the changeling was nowhere to be seen. "Huh? What happened? Did the impersonator decide to give up and run away? Does that mean I'm the winner now, or what!?" He called out to the judges as he awaited for his victory to be announced. What Cheap hadn't realized was Tarsal had turned into a tiny insect, while landing on Cheap's back. Given that the earth pony was wearing a business suit-like vest, he hadn't known that the changeling was on the back of his vest.

He shakes his head. "I'm not a betting pony. Chance is for losers. I'd rather make my own good fortune. ... If I had to bet, it'd be this Tarsal fellow, but now that I've said it, he's probably going to lose." Mayor Black replies.

With a nod, Samurai listens to Thundy and Dynamo. "Doesn't Super cancel out the events of GT? ...At least, those are the rumors I've heard." Samurai then does the pose. "Kame hame ha!" His pronunciation matches the Japanese rather than any foreign pronunciation. However, nothing happens. Samurai withdraws his hooves. "Gomen. My magic doesn't work that way. I could summon a large amount of fire and throw it like a projectile, but that would be fire and not ki." Samurai clarifies.

Meanwhile,

"Oh, I see. So we'd help each other out. You'd be my guardian, and I'd be your mighty confidant. You the knight in shining armor, and me your impervious stone castle. Your trustworthy partner in arms, and my raison d'etre. Your--" As Calhoun thinks of another analogy, Frozen points out Cosmic. He won't admit it, but from a distance and without any glasses, Cosmic just looks like a green blur. It's enough to make him stand out, at least. "Oh... Wrath. I'm going up against him, aren't I? He must be pretty powerful if he's looked after that many under his leadership." Calhoun guesses. He then nods. "All right, I'll tell you what... If your boss can defeat me in the ring, then I'll happily serve your group." Calhoun says with a determined nod. He also listens to Frozen's logic for his own codename and smirks a little. "I get it, though Lust might not be such a bad codename for you afterall~ What do you think my codename would be? Envy? Maybe Pride?"

The judges wait. "I'm not sure what Tarsal is planning, but if he doesn't reveal himself within the next few minutes, we'll have to declare Cheap the winner by automatic default." Mayor White commentates.

And as if on cue, Tarsal shapeshifts again! By the time Cheap realizes where he is, Tarsal has turned into a set of chains wrapping around and tying Cheap up. And at the end of chain, hanging down his neck like a pendant, is large weight of over a few hundred pounds. The weight has Tarsal's face on it, and he gives a cute little laugh. "Did I surprise you? Having trouble moving? I'll tell you what~ I'll let you go if you loudly admit defeat. It's that simple. Give up, and you'll be released. Stay, and things might get a little heavier~"
