"Ack! Careful! You don't want this jeep to tip over..." Thundy said getting that shocked feeling when Trilby suddenly grabbed the wheel. He pulled a quick acceleration, attempting to get away from whatever was targeting them.

@GeneralDirection

Pencil frowned and looked at Silver. Now that she thought about it, she wasn’t even sure what the goal of Level 2 was other than to complete it.

“Honestly, Silver, I don’t know. I’m thinking we’ll just get some items or something, but I’m honestly not sure,” she told him.

As the team continued to build upon the tower and solve more puzzles, victory grew closer and closer. Before Pencil and Silver even knew it, their tower stopped accepting new bricks, signaling that they had won the game. Pencil was quite surprised considering how well everyone else was doing, but she was also very glad her and Silver managed to win.

The tower quickly transformed from a grey blocky structure into a magnificent rainbow fountain. Its bright colors reflected off the rest of the land, giving everything a cheerful glow. A serene melody could be heard from an unknown place, immediately calming everyone and everything down from the excitement of the competition. Everything just felt peaceful. Too peaceful, in fact. Before Pencil had time to think about what that meant, her and the rest of her team were teleported back to the main hub.

@Oni Equine @C. Thunder Dash @Windy Breeze @PawelS

Pencil shook the strange teleportation feelings from her body as soon as her awareness was brought back. Despite not being able to sense as much as she would in real life, Pencil could still feel tingling sensations every time she teleported. When she collected herself, she was greeted with a floating reward that was called “The Wrath of the Creator”. The reward presented itself to her as it drew close enough to where she was standing for her to reach out to it.

Sounds like one of those Deth Pone songs Granite listens to Pencil thought as she read the title, recounting a memory of one of her friends.

Pencil reached out towards the reward and tapped on it. Its description stated that, if her and her team wished, they could skip the next level of the game. Pencil didn’t think that sounded like a bad idea, but she had to consult the rest of her team first. Turning towards Shadow, Chelsea, Elusive, Tree Song, and Silver, she asked,

“Do any of you guys mind if we use this to skip the next level?”

In Level 2,
As they approach the cave, Trilby sees his staff waiting for him at the entrance. He grabs it and then leaps into Thundy's vehicle, discarding the raptor. The less vehicles, the better, probably.

Making himself comfortable, Trilby isn't sure what Thundy means by the question. "It's not a wand, it's a bladed staff. And when it comes to my character's powers? I guess I can use them as often as I want. I haven't discovered a limit or a counter so far..." Trilby explains.

Diving down the cave is simple enough. Easy to avoid the spikes that randomly pop up. But Trilby spots poison dart blowpipes slowly coming out of the walls as well. "...!! Thundy, LOOK OUT!!" Unable to sit still, Trilby reaches over and grabs the wheel, trying to steer the vehicle. It only results in the two of them fighting for control, and the vehicle itself driving up the walls and the ceiling. But... It's working? Somehow, they are managing to avoid any spikes and poison darts... Though just barely.

As the jeep began its descent into the cave, Dynamo tried to use a light spell to help illuminate the darkness. It only helped slightly as the cave itself was still dark to see through. His ears perked at the sudden shout from Trilby, who had reached over to grab the steering wheel. The gaming unicorn could feel the shaking his seat produced as both unicorn and griffon were vying for control of the wheel. He quickly reached for his derby hat as the vehicle itself was beginning to drive up the walls and ceiling. "Why do we have to be upside down? All this rumbling terrain and driving feels as if I'm on a roller coaster. I just don't like going on some as I have a fear of going through loops. Can I get off the ride soon. I think I'm going to be sick." He would say, his face turning green from the sudden loops. He hoped that Pastel was safe as she was still invisible due to her rogue abilities.

"Uhh...Trilby, we may have to stop looping...our pal Dynamo doesn't look to good. We don't want anyone sick, especially now that we're close to the boss..." Thundy stated as he simply let the jeep gently go up and down the sides of the cave like one of those skateboard halfpipes, glancing at Dynamo in his rearview mirror.

"I don't mind...besides, the more we take advantage of the rewards we get, the closer we will get as a whole team to defeating the final boss..." Chelsea stated.

“Oh okay, no problem, just wondered.” Silver wouldn’t have to wonder for long, for they would get their tower finished first, and it transforms into a fountain before their eyes. Silver wasn’t quite sure what it was that they had just accomplished, but he wouldn’t get much time to think about that, as they were all soon transported back to the lobby once again. Silver looked towards Pencil as she received their reward for finishing the game. Based on her query, the Kirin assumed that whatever they were just awarded would allow them to skip the next level. He thought about for a minute before responding.

“Yea, I understand the appeal of wanting to skip the next level. It would make things easier on all of us. But I can’t help but think that if we skip it, we’ll also miss out on whatever reward it might have for us. Perhaps we could find out some info on the next level before we decide?” Silver asks the group. “I realize this may not be possible, but I feel like it might be worth trying. Maybe if it’s relatively easy, we can save our level skip for something harder.”

“Silver has a point,” Pencil noted. “We should see what the next level looks like before we skip it if we can. And now that Silver mentioned it, we could just save it for a harder level. Whatever works!”

Pencil turned to the rest of the team to hear their responses. So far Chelsea was the only other team member besides Silver who had spoken up. Pencil waited patiently for the others, anxious to hear their input. She hoped that everyone would be able to come up with a plan soon so they could venture forth in their adventure.

While Pencil waited, she drew circles on the ground, creating invisible drawings. She drew up all the creatures she couldn’t create just yet with her paintbrush; giraffes, flamingos, hound dogs, lions, and wolves. It was a random assortment of creatures, but they were what happened to come to Pencil’s mind. She lost herself in her imagination, not looking up from the ground for a while.

In Level 2,
It takes a few loops and zig-zags before Trilby registers what Dynamo and Thundy are saying. "Huh?" By that point, the spikes and barrage of poison darts are slowing to a hault. The end of the cave is in sight!

A BOSS APPROACHES! A BOSS APPROACHES!

When the vehicle reaches end of the cave, it is quite a sight to see. There is a drawbridge leading our heroes to the bosses; and it's too small for a vehicle to cross.
On the other side is some greenery with black flowers, and a chemical cauldron.
Putting his helmet's visor over his eyes, Daring Decor as the Black Knight steps forward, almost guarding Beryl who is ready behind him. And with a mighty roar, he raises gauntlet, challenging the champions to step forward. "Wait... It's a double boss?! You can actually do that?!" Trilby says, surprised.

And so, the time for the 2nd boss battle has arrived! Naturally, because Pastel is a Rogue, that means she can get a quick strike on both bosses before any of their attack phases; if she wants to. She can draw the first strike because her character is quick, nimble, and stealthy like that.

After that, the Black Knight whips out a flail, and the spike ball on it is MASSIVE! With an angry grunt, he swings it, but not at the heroes. No, he aims for the drawbridge! 3 hits. 20% damage! If the bridge goes out, they won't be able to attack properly.

In the sykbound hub world,
Elusive shakes off any odd feelings of being transported out. She sighs at first, but then puts on a happy face for the others. "Ms. Chelsea, you did good. Our tower wouldn't have been anything with your help. Same to you Ms. Shadow and Ms. Tree Song. You worked well together. And congratulations, Ms. Pencil and Mr. Silver! You both have earned that victory." Elusive pats all their backs.

After that, Elusive listens to the situation with the prize Pencil just got. "...Well, I'm just a reformed character, but if it required a vote from everyone in the party, then... Shouldn't we take it up with the Battle Team too? We're all on the same side, so they deserve a vote as well."

Before the black knight could even swing, a certain filly appeared in a pink cloud of smoke on his back.

"Hey there, big boy~"

Pastel said in a femme fatale sort of way the black knight, driving two daggers into the his back. High critical damage chance, but even if the daggers didn't pierce his tough armor, she hoped it would be enough to surprise the boss. If the daggers got stuck in his armor, this will be an interesting rodeo show...

"Everyone hold on!" Thundy said flooring the gas pedal, accelerating hard towards the black knight not noticing the smaller creature. Thundy saw how small the drawbridge was, and slowed down as quickly and safely as he could. He ended up pulling a 90-degree stop right at the edge of the drawbridge, so that way those who could make ranged attacks could do so. He unbuckled his seatbelt and flew over the drawbridge keeping an eye out for the swinging spike ball, also, making sure anyone else didn't need a lift over the bridge in case something happened.

As the group went through a few loops and zig-zags, they soon finally made it out of the cave. Dynamo's eyes were spinning, while trying to register where they were and what was going on. "Okay. C-Can we never do that again? I think I've had enough carnival rides...for the year." He sighed, shaking his head to gather his bearings. He soon saw the drawbridge that lead them to the bosses ahead of them. Just like Elusive had said, Daring Decor was standing across a drawbridge in a black knight armored outfit. However, it looked as if he was guarding someone that was behind him. "So, we basically have two bosses to deal with? If that's true, then does that mean we have to go through 2 different sets of 3 stages? If not, then would it be only one 3 stage boss for both?" He wondered as he went through similar situations of both in video games. Seeing Daring draw his weapon, Dynamo's eyes widened in alarm. "Guys, be careful! I've seen a character from a game have that sort of weapon. They'll have that flail for long range to keep us at a distance. All the while, recalling the weapon to be on the defensive." He hadn't played the character class he had spoken of, but he had seen the weapon before.

Dynamo braced for the sudden acceleration of Thundy's jeep, before the vehicle slowed down to a 90-degree stop. It looked as if the jeep wasn't going to work on going past this draw bridge. It didn't help that the bridge itself took some damage from Daring Decor's initial attack. Unbuckling his seatbelt, Dynamo looked over to see Thundy making his way towards the boss. At the same time, he noticed Pastel had reappeared into view as she attacked the black knight with her daggers. He wasn't sure if the weaponry would be able to damage or pierce Daring's armor, but it was a good start to gauge the bosses. "Come on! We need to give Pastel-chan some backup support. Plus, I wouldn't want to be in this jeep if the bridge gets taken out." Jumping out of the jeep, Dynamo made a mad dash towards the greenery. Levitating the cards out of his pocket, he began to spin throw the cards towards the bosses. If they hit, then it might damage Daring. Depending on how durable his armor truly was. If not, then the cards would simply bounce off. He hoped that some of the cards being thrown would also curve into hitting Beryl, as well.

Tree Song is happy how well the bonus level went. "That was fun!" she says, then she expresses her opinion in the discussion what to do next: "I think we should check on the Battle Team and help them if they need it, also I'd like to see more of that jungle... Then, when we know what the next level is, we should decide whether to skip it or not."

Thundy saw the cards. "Good choice Dynamo, keep that attack up. I'd say keep aiming for Beryl, for I know she'll try and trip us up, just like on the way here with those vines." Thundy stated as he changed into his golden armor with his twin swords just like the first boss battle. He then summoned some grenadiers that aimed at the black knight. They struggled to aim as Thundy waited for the right time to roll the dice and initiate the attack. Thundy made sure the grenades were of the shard type, meaning when they exploded, the shards would fly in directions. This way, he could also deal some damage to Beryl, who was much smaller than him. Thundy rolled his dice for the three grenadiers. The numbers landed on 5, 6, and 2. All together, the grenades dealt 30% damage to the black knight. Due to the 6, a grenade shard flew and nailed Beryl dealing 20% damage to her.

Pencil jerked as Elusive began patting everyone’s backs, including hers. She knew she was only doing it to be friendly, but the contact was unexpected. Pencil did her best to hide her surprised and rather quizzical look from Elusive and the rest of the team as they discussed the use of the level skip together. Pencil listened to everyone’s thoughts, then added her own input.

“I think that’s a good idea to see what the Battle Team thinks. I imagine they probably have it a lot harder out there than us. Only thing is, how do we get to them? Would the game know to teleport us there or does someone else know how we can find them?” she concurred.

In Level 2,
Pastel's quick attack was good for some chip damage. It inflicted a 10% damage hit; most likely guarded from anything more critical because of his armor.

Trilby gets out of the vehicle with everyone else, but notices the bridge. "Huh... If he can attack it like he can attack us, then is it possible that I can...?" Without another thought, Trilby uses his healing ability on the bridge. ... Nope. No such luck. Must only work on living things. Trilby shrugs. "Was worth a shot at least." Instead, he casts a shield spell and spreads it across his team mates. It's only good for one turn; and it won't be super strong since it's spread out instead of focused on one person.

Dynamo and Thundy's attacks are great ideas. ... "RAWR!!!" Except for the fact that Daring Decor purposefully takes all hits, receiving 30% damage because of it. Was he actually protecting Beryl? "Ugh... Beryl! I could use an assist." Daring Decor tells her. After that, he goes into his next attack phase. He pulls out his broad sword, winds up, and swings many times. Everyone takes 7% damage; Trilby's shield spread saved everyone from taking the full 15% damage.

Trilby all ready took his turn. He'll heal everyone in the next round, unless they say otherwise.

In the skybound city,
She thinks about it. "Right now, we are still in the city above the clouds. I guess if the game wanted us to get up here ourselves, then it wants us to get down by ourselves as well. But that shouldn't be too bad, right? The trip down is way easier than the trip up. At least that's how is usually goes. Some of us can fly down naturally, but the rest of us need a little help. I guess I'll be riding with Shadow again, if that Pegasus Zebra thing Pencil drew is still around." Elusive says.

In the castle ruins,
While Tempest Shadow waited for her friend to return, she steps into the darkness and blends in quite well. The only thing you can see is her eyes.

Outside Friendshire,
Nopony continues to wait for Tree Song to return and for the town to return to normal. However, from his perspective, not much time has passed at all. Tree's only been gone a few seconds, meaning he just said his goodbyes not too long ago. The town is still lit up like a massive ball of light, practically blinding anyone that looks too closely at it.

Little does Nopony know, he is about to be joined by a new comer...

“You don’t have to tell me twice, Thundy!” Dynamo exclaimed, staying behind the griffon, who had thrown explosives at the black knight. He narrowed his eyes slightly as he saw Daring had simply took the attacks one by one. ‘Does he think our attacks don’t do anything? If not, then can he not move all that well with that suit of armor?’ He thought, before being pushed back slightly from the roar. He grunted and skidded back slightly, but thanks to the shield, he didn’t take as much damage. “Hey, Trilby” he called from behind to gain his friends attention. “This shield should hold for a bit. I don’t mind the heal, but just make sure to heal when necessary. I think I have an idea.”

Dynamo’s horn soon began to glow as he prepared a spell for his next attack. Unfortunately, it would be split into two attacks. However, if it worked, then it might help the team out. “Pastel! Thundy! I have a plan. When I say now, I want you guys to get out of the way, okay?” He asks, before beginning his attack phase. “Stream!” He soon launched water magic at both Beryl and Daring. They wouldn’t be damaged much if they get hit, but they would soon be fully drenched by the attack.

Thundy moved out of the way, and also clashed his two swords together, adding a charge to the water since water conducts electricity. The conduction bonus would be determined by a dice roll, the two numbers multiplied to get the percent bonus. Sadly, the bonus was only 9%. "Dang it...was wanting more than that..." Thundy stated. He summoned 4 riot control personnel, who held flashbangs that would blind/stun anyone who was close to the explosion for a few seconds.

"Funya!"

Pastel flops back like a squeaky toy, anime esque swirls in her eyes from the hit. Thankfully it wasn't a real sword or she'd be a Pastel salami sandwich. She took more damage than usual due to her low defense stat. She was gonna hang back a bit until an opening presented itself, but...

@Dynamo Pad

Upon hearing his call, Pastel quickly put all of her energy into a swift dash to the left. Seemingly, Pastel leaped straight off the bridge to her demise... But she was actually hanging like a spider to the bottom of the bridge via her daggers. What she had planned was anyponys guess.

Pencil turned to Elusive as she mentioned the pegabra.

“All of my animals are still around. I kept them over there,” she said, gesturing to a far corner with her hoof. The pegabra stood with its head down, grazing as usual. The hippo bounded around gleefully, fluttering its wings on occasion. The bear didn’t do much as he was perfectly content with lying down. Pencil beckoned each creature over, and after a minute of convincing, they stumbled over to her location.

“I’m taking the bear but there’s room for someone else if they wanna hop on as well. Silver has the hippo so that one’s taken, but the pegabra is most definitely free! If anyone needs a moment to decide on creature transportation just let me know. I can also make another creature, if any of you would like,” Pencil told the group.
