Is no one still wondering what the next fallout game is going to be about, So far there is little rumors and information about the game. It is most likely to not be out until 2013 due to there being no news about the game. All that is known is that it will probably have a new graphics engine like skyrim's and it may be a online game.

The only thing about fallout I want to know is more about the Vault-boy

They should make a fallout game devoted to the tunnel snakes.

Exactly. Cuz they're the Tunnel Snakes. And they RULE.

One strange thing about me and video games is that I HATE good graphics. I prefer the graphics to Counter Strike Source that to Crysis 2. I hope the next fallout doesn't have good graphics. More melee weapons, tougher enemies, bigger world, more interesting vaults and loads and loads of clothes and armours. This is what I want. Oh! Loads and loads more drugs. I spent about 60% of my time playing Fallout 3 addicted to buffout. I find having an addiction makes playing more interesting, having to scavenge for drugs is fun for me. Going to a doctor is cheating.

Dual Wielding!

Dual wielding?

Brushing your hair is for people who care and someone who cares is not I, I'll jump off a bridge and then fill up your fridge,
and best pony is Fluttershy.

New engine? Finally! New Vegas is just on the limit to tolerable on the consoles(graphic, framerate, bugs)

yeah i think fallout 3 would go in the top 5 of most glitchy games.

I'm more into Elder Scrolls because of classes and the medieval setting. Fallout 3 has no classes so if you did a ton of stuff on the first playthrough you aren't gonna get a very different game on a second playthrough most likely. Oblivion is a little different in that regard because you can at least use different classes and do missions specific to that class. :P

With Fallout you basically have all the same weapons forever, while in Oblivion you use different weapons throughout your playthroughs due to class.

That's why you explore and find new weapons, special and unique versions of weapons and build weapons from scratch with scrap you found in the wasteland.

Fallout 2 is probably my 3rd favorite game of all time. 3 didnt come close to it, but Bethesda did what they do best and made an amazing environment and world. Obsidian did the series much more justice with a plot that wasnt insane, memorable characters, a better combat system, and MUCH more interesting quests.

TL;DR New Vegas kicked 3s ass in almost every way.

This, all of it.

Also, you all know there are fanpatches that remove a lot more bugs than the official ones, right?

Unless you play it on a console, in which case I ask, why?

Only game I've ever played that had both versions and was better on console than PC was Halo.

And I'm not even counting that mouse+keyboard is better than controller, because that's (mostly) opinion.

lol I know there's a lot of stuff like that I haven't tried out but when I play Fallout 3 after my first playthrough it just feels like the same game. I need to try to actually do more though. I've never built anything though, never knew exactly how to do it plus on my first playthrough all I saw was junk when I saw a tin can on the ground (but from what I hear tin cans help make a Fatman)

I know there's so much about Fallout 3 I haven't explored but it's hard for me to bring myself to play it for a long time. I mean, I played it for 18 hours straight the very first time I played it but after my first playthrough I've had little to no desire to really replay it much at all.

Fair enough, I can't get enough of it but we all have different tastes.

The weird thing is, I usually have no problem with replaying the same game over and over usually, it's just this particular kind of game I don't so much like it. It's weird. LOL

Always preferred medieval to post-apocalyptic as far as RPGs go anyway.

Though I'm tired of every RPG these days being medieval. We need more stuff like Phantasy Star, Final Fantasy XIII or Wild Arms

You can also have very different playthroughs depending on what kind of character you make. A guy with 10 agl with sneak and guns is going to be very different from someone with 10 str with melee, or someone using energy weapons, or a diplomat with high cha and speech. You can play good, evil, or neutral.

I honestly cannot understand how anyone can say fallout doesn't have good replayability. That just does not make sense to me at all.

I am one of the biggest Fallout fans you will ever meet and I have the same problem replaying 3. Except with me I explored everything and found there was little reason for me to do it again.

Now New Vegas I think I have done about 6 playthroughs of. Hardcore really gave the game life.

10 str with melee

You are forgetting how damn useless melee was in 3.

It mostly comes from the fact that I haven't EXPLORED the game's possibilities because they aren't as obvious as in an Elder Scrolls game.

I suppose I should start a totally new file and try totally different stats and perks than I got on my last couple playthroughs just to mix things up a little. lol

Im sorry I didnt see this in your previous posts, but did you play New Vegas?

Basically you miss nothing if you skip 3 and play New Vegas.

I used almost nothing but melee in FO3. LOL

Only time I ever used guns was against mutants.

Now that I'm talking about it I guess I never really did explore as much of the game as I could have. I started an evil playthrough but that got boring, probably because I was playing it exactly the same as my original good playthrough just...different alignment.

No, I haven't gotten New Vegas yet. I've always heard of it's major glitchiness. I mean, I heard the same thing about Fallout 3 but I never ran into them (I have FO3 on PS3)

There's still a lot of FO3 I haven't explored though, I did a lot of it on my first playthrough and probably would have done it all if it weren't for the fact that my file got erased when i started a new one and also that you can't load up your file and continue if you walk in and do the sterilization yourself and die unless you have the Broken Steel DLC (Which I do not)
