I've tried Netflix and Hulu. I currently have hulu. They all have a couple of good shows, a lot of stuff I've already seen, and a lot of stuff I'm not interested in, which is basically what cable was. It's not hard to find stuff online to stream for free but I keep the hulu because it's not that expensive and easy to use.

I don't use any streaming services, I just watch videos where I find them. I'd rather not actively support mega media corporate giants. :nom:

Also, not a lot of good shows these days worth actively supporting streaming services for. Literally overheard a conversation from a guy at a sushi bar last weekend about how he was going to download HBO Max just for one thing then delete it right after. :maud:

You should change the poll to use check boxes so people can pick more than one.

I used Netflix to watch a few shows, and Amazon to watch the last season of FIM. I dislike streaming because I don't have control of the show. They could take it away at any time. Netflix doesn't have much that I want. The image and sound quality is much better from a disc because it has a higher bit rate.

This is my new signature.

I use Netflix for the most part, but I've had brief experiences with Amazon prime Video, Disney+, Hulu, and Crunchyroll (which came as a package deal through VRV).

Netflix is okay but they don't have enough anime. They have a decent movie selection but a lot of rubbish to sift through before you find the good stuff.

Amazon Prime Video is awful. Lots of selection but the catch it that most of it is low budget junk just to fill out a playlist. And even if you pay for the service, you still have to pay again if you want anything worth watching. Even old movies that have playing over the air for decades cost extra and are expensive. They offer TV series, promising the entire series until you watch the first episode and then suddenly the rest of the series has a extra 'Pay' button if you want to continue.

Disney+ is terrible. They have some nice Disney stuff but not enough to make it worthwhile. And their buffering problems are extremely annoying.

Hulu doesn't have much selection and if you go ad-free you still get long blank pauses where the commercials used to be. The commercials may be gone but the long wait is still there.

Crunchyroll is a good service overall. They have a massive selection of anime even though most of it is subbed rather than dubbed. That's just a latter of taste. I got it as part of VRV and can't stop watching it. Definitely worth a look.

I tried Funimation too and it's got a nice selection too even though their site is a little hard to navigate on PS4.

Thanks, this was my first time posting a poll. I think I have it fixed now.

Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, Discovery+ and Disney+.

Disney is worth it because they own so much and there are so many classics I haven't seen in a long time.

Haven't fully dived into Discovery's potential, and I'm wondering how much "educational" content is shared between them and Curiosity Stream. Enjoying 90 Days: The Single Life with the girlfriend.

Used to use Hulu a lot a decade ago. It seems completely different now and more limited. Only have it because of the Disney bundle.

Amazon is probably my favorite since I can find most individual movies on that platform. I don't like having to pay on top of having the service but it's still not a bad deal.

Don't have Netflix currently since can't remember parent's password. There's always something to watch and they've got decent originals. Nowadays I don't think they fair so well compared to the other streaming services, and they're kept around for those handful of must watches.

Overall, enjoying the slightly more a la carte style but if you get every service then you're basically paying on demand cable.

I've tried no streaming services at all, I'm not interested either. It's because I rarely watch anything nowadays, and because it increases the amount of things I have to pay monthly when I will hardly ever even use it.

To be honest with you, I'm not that much of a streaming person, but I do like watching shows on streaming sometimes.

The only streaming services I used are Disney Plus, HBO Max, Netflix, and Hulu. Used to have Boomerang, but not anymore.

I don't watch too many things nowadays but I've tried streaming services. So far I've used only two services: Amazon Prime and Netflix.

I like the web interface of Netflix more than of Amazon but from the pure streaming services I'm not aware of any differences. It always worked when I used it. There are differences in the offered content of both services though. There are some things you can only get one service and not the other e.g MLP season 9 is only availabe at Amazon Prime Video and not Netflix (at least where I live). I think in general I like more the content which is offered by Netflix, but there are definitely also some exceptions. So because of the differences in the offered content I think I tend more to Netflix than Amazon Prime.

Despites the differences in web interface and the offered content, I don't see difference between those I would like or dislke. I find them quite comparable.

My main go-to is Netflix, which isn’t great by any means, but it has some series that I like (Cobra Kai, Stranger Things) and introduced me to a few of my favorite anime despite their relatively limited assortment.

I get Amazon Prime video once in a while when Amazon gives me a 30 day free trial, but it sucks. Almost everything on it is an extra cost on top of the price of subscribing to the service. Makes me glad I don’t take it unless it’s free.

I had Disney+ for a short time so I could watch Mandalorian, but that was all the interest I had. I love classic Disney stuff but most of it's already in my video collection. They had some decent short cartoons like classic Goofy and Donald's nephews, but not enough to keep me as a subscriber.

Funimation is solid and has a LOT of really nice anime; almost too much to keep up with, which is not a bad thing obviously.

I have Hidive and Crunchyroll and I’m really enjoying them a lot. I wish Crunchy had more dubs, but that’s not a big deal.

Hulu was disappointing; very little to choose from and I hated the way their ‘commercial free’ system worked; you get big black gaps in the show in place of the commercials, and you couldn’t even fast-forward past them. Lame. I feel like I’m being punished for not taking the commercial package.

Quibi is gone now but they had the absurd idea of chopping up a single movie into 8 or 9 chunks and releasing them as mini episodes. I can see why they went down the tubes.

Offhand those are the ones I’ve had experience with.

I just added Tubi and Pluto to my lineup. They’re not bad for free services, and each has some unusual stuff that I like to try out sometimes, including some really old stuff and lots of holiday shows and movies from some obscure sources.
