It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you all of the passing of actor Carl Weathers at the age of 76. 

The former NFL line backer turned actor. Carl was best known for his rolls as Apollo Creed in the Rocky films, Al Dillon in Predator, Derick Peterson in Happy Gilmore, Combat Carl in Toy Story 4 and as Greef Karga in The Mandalorean. 

Carl had a confidence and a swagger that he could physically back up with ease, but also a charm and charisma that made him feel like one of the guys. He was a guy who played 2nd fiddle to Sylvester Stallone or Arnold Schwarzenegger. But it was thanks to him that they had a presence to bounce off of. They would not have been great without Carl Weathers to help define them. He was one of the unsung heroes of Hollywood.

Rest in Power, Carl. May your legacy live on.

What a great star! This man had so much charisma it was just radiating from him. He was such a great showman as Apollo Creed, and his many other roles showed a range of talents as Al Dillon in Predator, Combat Carl in Toy Story of Terror and Toy Story 4, and Greef Karga in The Mandalorian. He’s covered a lot of bases and entertained a lot of people. Thank you, Carl, for giving us so many great moments to brighten our lives. You’ll live forever.
