I guess I just try too hard sometimes and in the end I'm the one who's left, still broken.

I love that second song.

Actually he's the guitarist for the post rock band Epic45, not really a big fan of them, but they're working on a new album right now. This is probably their best song so far.

Hey, another post-rock fan! When I'm not listening to electronic music, post-rock is pretty much all I listen to, seeing as I tend to enjoy instrumental music moreso that your stock standard vocal music. Can't say I have a favourite artist, though If I had to share a band, I'd say Caspian have a handful of quality tracks.

Both awesome songs.

Why haven't I listened to this stuff before?...

Because the term post rock is still kind of underground. I remember searching for this kind of stuff under easy listening years ago, back when I was a noob, then I found out about bands like Kyte, and Collapse Under the Empire, and the rest was history.

If you like post-rock you should listen to this:

http://coryjohnson.b...legend-of-zelda

It's a full remix album of Zelda songs. And it's pretty much all in post-rock.

Not bad stuff. I guess I have something to pass the time now, lol.

Not really sure if post-rock is the exact genre i have been listening to, but atmospheric and really calm rock is one of my favourite music styles. Well really like i like to say Bring me almost any music genre and i'm open to it(Be it opera, extreme metal, dubstep or pop music)

Not sure if post-rock fits the genre, but this is the closes from my playlist that i can think of.

Not bad, if you like Blackfield, or anything with Steve Wilson, you should check out Nosound.

Asians will always make weird post rock music... This song is like tripping on drugs and when you come out of it, you kinda miss it. Nostalgic, but unusual.

Bump, because post-rock needs to be recognized.

The name post-rock seems kind of presumptuous. It implies that rock is dead.

It pretty much almost is thanks to tweens and other kids who think LMAFO, Skrillex, Deadmau5 and Daft Punk are the new thing. Generations are just getting worse and worst... Have a song,

I was gonna post this in here 2 hours ago but I had to go to cross country.

Here's some delicious first and third wave post-rock for you all.

The name post-rock seems kind of presumptuous. It implies that rock is dead.

Challenge: Name a rock band that formed from 1970 to now. A real rock band.

The correct answer: There are none. Progressive and psychedelia killed rock in the late 60's. Hair metal obviously wasn't rock. "Alternative" and grunge aren't rock either: they took more influence from sludge metal, noise rock, progressive, and indie than from "rock". Modern "rock" bands are pop musicians with distorted guitars.

It pretty much almost is thanks to tweens and other kids who think LMAFO, Skrillex, Deadmau5 and Daft Punk are the new thing. Generations are just getting worse and worst... Have a song,

I'm going to agree that "rock" is dead, but Discovery is actually a great house album. Music isn't worse nowadays; if you think that all music that has come out recently is bad then you don't listen to enough music.

This is more 'post-metal' than post-rock but I'm putting it here anyways because Jesu is excellent and Justin Broadrick is a genius.

Also 65daysofstatic are amazing, and they're completely instrumental.

Jesu is pretty good stuff. i was lucky enough to find their debut album for 25 cents in a second-hand store this summer, am currently listening to it now. anything similar to their music you'd recommend?
