What does everyone here think of season 1 versus season 2?

I liked them both equally. I cant decide. More of my fav episodes were on season 1 though.

As much as I love season 1, as it probably has a majority of my favorite episodes(I honestly have too many! ), I think the quality of episodes like Return of Harmony, Lesson Zero, and especially A Canterlot Wedding blew me away compared to most of season 1(as great as those episodes are), conclusively making season 2 slightly more favorable in my eyes.

Season 2 was definitely more better than Season 1 of the show by a mile. There were more laughs, more memorable moments, interesting characters, it cannot be topped unless Season 3 or further seasons surpass the season.

I preferred Season 1. It could be because I watched it all at once and didn't really have any expectations.

 

I preferred Season 1 because there were a lot more episodes with all of the Mane 6 in them, and they really work best altogether IMO. Season 2 felt different to me. It still had quite a few fantastic episodes (like The Last Round-Up), but overall it was a bit inconsistent in enjoyment for me.

They both seemed equally matched. But for the songs, it's a different story for me. I liked both, but for me, I think season 1 tops it.

Well season 1 kicked off the show in a good way. Season 2 was able to help the show grow more, plus half of my favorite episodes come from Season 2.

Though I truly loved Season 2, i'ma have to say that Season 1 is the winner for me. Generally gives me nostalgia and has all around good episodes.

Though I like both seasons very much, I like season 2 a bit better.  Four of my five least favorites are from season one, and I'd call the last third of season one the weakest section of the show so far.  But I love both seasons.  Season 2's quality was just a little more consistant in my honest opinion.
