Brony Con

Hey all!

I just convinced myself that I'm going to Brony Con in NYC on Jan 7th at Hotel Pennsylvania!! Yay!! Squee!!

Is anyone else making plans to go or going?

 

It's organized by the Brony NYC meet up group on meetup.com, particularly organized by Purple Tinker the head brony of all brines. I think that's what she is at least. I think someone in my group said that they do it every few months, mainly in NYC because that meet up group is the biggest (my group, DC Bronies is 20% cooler, just not as big). I know that some ponies were looking to meet with other bronies outside of le internet. Meetup is where I found my herd and there are a lot of different brony groups.

Why on earth does this keep auto correcting brony to briny?!?!?! This is a brony board, sheesh!

I'm kind of conflicted on that sort of thing.

 

I was dragged along to an anime convention by some friends once, and couldn't really get into it at all. I went to a gaming convention (PAX Prime), and while it was quite a bit more enjoyable, it still wasn't my kind of thing... with that said though, ponies make everything better, so who knows?

 

At any rate, having visited NY just this last January, I don't think I'll be returning any time soon. I'll go back someday, but in the mean time I've got other places to visit... so Brony Con is probably not going to happen for me.

I'll consider going if at least a couple of the people I know will go. Although I don't ever know how I would explain to my parents how I want to go meet up with people are have been talking to on the internet for months O.o

There have been a few pony meetings in Portland, albeit much smaller ones than what goes down in New York. I haven't gone to any of them though, so I can't comment on their quality.

That's legit that they have Brony Cons. I'd be all up for one on the WC like w1kk3d mentioned, cuz idk about anyone in my area thats into MLP.

I'm not from New York but I'm going I might meet some people from my group there.

You know what, BroNYCon is right after my birthday... I need to focus my parents to pay for my trip there as a birthday present lol. I would go, but paying $40 online and getting there might be an issue for me
