I am not into beastiality. Frankly, beastiality and furries creep me out.

But Twilight Sparkle's pretty beautiful for a horse.

Nor am I, and I'm assuming most here aren't. Frankly though, I don't think one could call these ponies horses anymore than one could call us monkeys. There are similarities, but they are still pretty divorced from non-sapient equines. Take the mice Twilight turned into horses in "Best Night Ever" they didn't look anything like them and were clearly not "thinking" animals like us.

Fans say aliens in other media are attractive but no one objects because they look human enough to apparently reach some bar "anthro-appropriateness" (like the Asari). I submit that the ponies also reach that level if you look at it the right way. Let's take a look at Twilight shall we?

Cute as button no doubt, but why and in what ways? Well, for one, her eyes. The eyes are often considered an attractive attribute, particularly if there is something striking about them. Twilight has big, pretty, purple eyes that match her motif. In addition to the eyelashes. They are not as prominent as Rarity's, but they are appropriately endearing. Then there's her mane, it's long, straight, and with tinted highlights. For those who fine long, straight hair attractive, Twilight's the best example of the six. Then there's her voice, so full of spirited curiosity. All this, because those are identifiable as feminine. When one looks at the concept of the "Uncanny Valley", that the more human something tries to be, the more it's in-humanity stands out, one finds the opposite to hold true as well. The ponies are clearly NOT human, so the human qualities they do have are amplified. So yes, Twilight is very beautiful . . . especially when she cleans herself up a bit!

If you'll excuse my nitpicking, I would like to point out a minor error on your part. It wouldn't be beastiality. It'd be xenophilia. The difference is due to the sapience of the Equestrian ponies.

For me.. Twilight.. Probally has to do more with Tara Strong being the voice actress though and how she's done a large majorty of characters through my childhood. However, the simple dress in the garden party and those dance moves she was busting at the time as well.

There was also the scene where they were getting frozen by the windigoes.

Next is princess luna, and Zecora. Both of them are reasons why I started to watch the show, and wish they would get more screen time due to their funny ways of talking.

This is one of the main reasons why I respect the show as much as I do. If someone were to start a thread on the same question on another animated show, they would probably get banned for trolling, but this is actually a completely reasonable topic. The character development in this show is simply superb, you truly get the feeling that you are meeting every pony first hand. You get the sence that you not only "like" the way they act in certain situations, but you are along for the ride and they all have such distinct personality's it feels like you could have an actually meaningful conversation with them. .. and lets be honast here, their all adorable! :Dpost-2581-0-89470300-1331490676.jpg

You sir, are speaking my language! Look for some of my earlier posts and you can see my whole theory on "pony attraction." I also agree with you on your earlier statement. My very first posted topic (on ANY internet forum) was on this subject. I half expected banishment to a moon thread, but got only positive feedback on my theory and actually helped some people come to terms with their feelings.

One thing I've realized is that I'm very attracted (Not sexually, duh..) to the ponies and the show itself. I love all of their personalities and just love the show itself. I've always enjoyed Powerpuff girls, Fosters home for imaginary friends, and other shows. When I started watching this show, I didn't know Lauren Faust did all of these shows. And they all have a nice show atmosphere that you just don't see in cartoons anymore.

MLP.. I love how innocent the show is and how great it is about the friendship lessons. (Except Applejack apparently doesn't learn anything, right? XD) I love how everypony in the group is totally different in style and it proves how ANYPONY can be friends with each other. I don't believe too much into stereotypes, but it's like how Rarity would be I guess considered the "popular" girl and let's just say Applejack is just "Full on country". For being Rarity, we all know she can't stand dirt. Applejack doesn't mind it at all. Yet they still can be really good friends. Fluttershy is the shy one and Rainbow Dash reminds me of tom boy and she loves to be outgoing and loud. They we're very good friends when they were fillies(spelled right? :P) and they still are. Opposites attract maybe? I haven't really had really close friends in years and I guess you can say I wish I had what these ponies have. Plus, it just isn't stupid! The show itself, it's amazing how not-stupid it is. There isn't one cartoon that I could really watch much these days. (Maybe Regular show...) But that's it...

I could say so much more but this is how I feel mostly. :)

OK, I didn't make it clear but I meant attraction as in a platonic attraction (not sexual)

How can you be attracted to something/someone and it be platonic at the same time?

Seems a little contradictory.

That's like asking: are you attracted to your mother... oh in a non-sexual way.

Platonic would mean no attraction, since the point of attraction is to pick a suitable sexual mate. ~

Tbh, attraction to Ponies aren't my thing. They need to REALLY hit me in the heart to do that.

I'd like to partially retract that statement. Over time (plus the new episode) has made me feel a bit more closer to Pinkie and Fluttershy for some reason...

To be honest when I made this thread I meant romantic/sexual attraction.

But after seeing negative reactions and on one post, someone refer to it as bestiality, I got embarrassed and changed it.

You are correct, it's contradictory.

I shalt keep my vote remaining as no then,

thanks for the clarity ^.^ ~

one time i cried because the harmony of the mane six's friendship and how they consequently balance each other out is so pristine and could never occur in real life ;(
