On my way home from Bronycon I got a speeding ticket. It would be a few weeks before I get the actual ticket. Today I got 140 dollars. Guess how much the ticket was? 141. Troll traffic department. (I was going to buy an Fluttershy shirt to, them miscreants)

Post similar experiences you had to mine.

I started a new job today, one that pays me enough that I can take care of necessities and have spending money without having to save up a few pay periods. I find out I don't get paid until the 20th of next month because of the pay cycles. I was going to go buy some blind bags for my son and me. Bummer. That sucks about the ticket, though. I hate when crap like that happens.

Not sure if this is really a large enough topic to hold up a whole thread, but one time, I found a video game that I wanted very badly that was up for grabs at $20, which was a totally understandable price, so I bought it. After not even a week or so later, I was walking around back in the mall where I had bought the game, and when I passed the store, I saw it in the $5 bin. I was just like "are you effing kidding me?"

This one time I was asked to mow this ladies yard and said I would be paid so I agreed and turns out I had to pick up the lawnmower and move it over her air-conditioner to mow a decent section of her house and its a heavy bitch... needless to say I made $10 I was pissed

Fire. Fire burns really, really bad. Ouch. *rubs arm*

Also apparently witty one liners are not suffice for the filters. "Give me more characters!"

I really wanted to go to the 25th anniversary of Mario at Nintendo World NYC, well we had some family dinner thing on the same day so my my mom made me and my dad go to it since she knew no one important would be there at the event, so i had to go to this dinner and wait 2 hours for my food, and find out later that shigeru miyamoto appeared at the event... that shocked me, i could’ve seen or maybe even met shigeru miyamoto, the man who made my childhood as fun as it was, worse i could’ve made it since it took so long just to even get the table (like a hour+) and food, but instead i had to eat at a dinner place and wait forever wishing i was at the event celebrating mario. i am not mad at my mom though, she didn’t know he'd be there as he was a surprise guest, but it still doesn’t make me very happy that i missed probably one of my only chances of meeting/seeing miyamoto in person... *sigh*

Fuel.

Yesterday I had a run-in with a faulty valve at work, and spilled some fuel on me. It was another 6 hours before I was able to wash it off, and it started to burn after a while. ^_^

Well, I once got my hair burnt off thanks to my idiot of a brother playing with a torch from our firepit...

thankfully it all grew back with minimal scalp scarring :)

I once sold this game called Jurassic Park Operation Genesis to a game store for $2.50 The next week I walk in, Look around, Look in the display case and what do I see? My game sitting there with a price tag of $210. Turns out it was a super rare game.. That made me really mad.

Well a couple of days ago I bought 5 packs of the MLP trading cards. The one thing that I REALLY REALLY wanted to get was the cute little Rainbow Dash standee. So I kept 4 packs for myself and gave the last pack to my best friend as part of his birthday gift. So of course, I open my packs.... no Rainbow Dash... but low and behold! The one pack I gave him had the Dashie standee. xD So now it's sitting on his desk all happy. -sigh- If only I had given him a different pack. But oh well. The stuff I got out of my packs was still pretty darn cool. B)

Well, we were going to get this super fast Internet, so I was really really excited because we had terribly slow Internet.. They say they can't reach us due to some hill In the way of their towers.. :/ we got this other Internet that's an okay speed.

Not too bad bt still..

I once managed to talk my way out of a speeding ticket by telling the truth. I was pulled over about a half a mile from my house. I actually asked the cop to follow me home and give me the ticket there, because I had to pee REAL BAD! He told me not to speed and let me go. I made it home just in time!

I remember a few years ago, my sister and I went to San Diego Comic-Con.

The main reason I wanted to come that year was the Watchmen Movie panel(In case my name and avatar didn't tell you already, I'm a huge WM fan) in Hall H.

We ended getting a bit lost that morning, but we figured out where Hall H was and we ran as fast as we could. The line was massive, but we eventually found the end of the line. I was so relieved.

We waited in line for maybe 30 minutes. I could see the door to Hall H. Maybe 30 yards away.

Then, the fire marshall came and said that they had to cut the line because they were approaching full capacity. He did a headcount. And he cut the line maybe 2-3 people ahead of us.

That really burned.

And it's kinda ironic, because he's a fireman. Get it? Get it???

I was once moving around some computer cords on a power which I unplugged to avoid getting shocked and my mom passed the end of the cord a few feet away and thought it needed to be plugged. I was touching metal prongs that were in the socket at the time and needless to say, it was quite painful. My hand felt like a pile of bricks landed on it.
