first girly show I watched was Sailor Moon (I was too young, I don't really remember much of it), later the Powerpuff Grils, and finally, Sakura Card Captor, the latter was my favorite overall

edit: oh yeah, also totally spies and W.I.T.C.H

I actually watch a lot o the stuff on Disney channel, like the girly sitcoms like Jessie. I also used to watch Dora the Explorer and I occasionally watch the Bachelor/ette. I used to be quite the fan of Hello Kitty as well.

Powerpuff Girls. That was an awesome show back in the day. So glad they're bringing it back but I'm a little disappointed they're not using the models of back then,

I do watch an occassional Barbie Movie...that is...if I'm at my cousin's house. I have to admit, I actually enjoy those Barbie movies due to the fact that the plot is really well developed and it's not just some utopian society.

Well, yeah. I'm a girl so I watched a lot of girly shows, as well as plenty of gender neutral/boy ones (I was obsessed with pokemon, yugioh, power rangers, and yu yu hakusho). Besides powerpuff girls, I watched dora the explorer, as told by ginger, brace face, Kim possible, hamtaro, my life as a teenage robot, that's so raven, hi hi puffy ami yumi, totally spies, etc.

I also have a current love for littlest pet shop, Disney pixie hollow fairies, and Disney princesses and anything cute and innocent.

  • 4 weeks later...

My Little Pony and Littlest Pet Shop are obvious, right? :P

Sailor Moon is the earliest I can recall. Started watching that when I was a wee lad of a single-digit age. Some time following that came the Powerpuff Girls. Surprisingly, that's all I can come up with. Can't think of anything else I've watched that could be considered girly, but thank you all for giving me some ideas of cute stuff to watch. ^_^

(I didn't even notice the last post date, probably from my tiredness lol)

No worries. People are encouraged to bump ancient threads if they have something to add to them. ^^

Hmm...I mostly watched action packed shows...

I used to watch totally spies and the winx club(which I finished the series a month ago since I stopped watching it after season 1) ... God, I really can't think of anything else. My childhood mostly consisted of ninja turtles, sonic, Mario and Ben 10 :P

HOW COULD I FORGET CARDCAPTORS??! :o

As a kid in the 80s I watched Jem when it was on, plus Powerpuff girls during my first stint in college. As an anime fan I've seen my share of shoujo anime, including Sailor Moon.

On the live action front I was a huge Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan, though I don't know how girly that is, considering its two biggest influences are horror movies and Marvel comics.

Besides the obvious "Powerpuff Girls" response, I did watch Totally Spies pretty frequently when it was aired. Can't say it's "girly", but hey, if the main characters are girls, then the show is therefore girly, amirite?!

Powerpuff Girls (Made for TV by Lauren Faust, so it gets swept under the rug of girly even though it was made for all genders)- Connection to MLP-yes

My Life as a Teenage Robot- While most episodes were the epitome of awesome, some weren't. That's all I have to say- Connection to MLP- Yes (Rob Renzetti)

Those were both tame compared to what I watch both now and back then (seeing as how DBZ, Superman, Batman and stuff was my favorite then and Deathnote, Elfin Lied, and Highschool DHD are some of my favs now.)

Huh. I guess it depends on what is considered girly. Unless you count live action shows (which I never really watch period) I can't really think of anything. I only look at the quality of the characters and the story. If either are good I don't really consider whether it's designed for boys or girls. So long as those two requirements are fulfilled I don't really give a damn whether it's for boys or girls. Why do you think I watch MLP in the first place? Why do you think anyone else watches MLP?

Meh, not really. I don't think an all female character cast automatically makes a show girly only the stuff that revolves around them.

I guess it depends what you mean by girly as in how far we can call a show girly, just cause a show portaits the main cast being made most of girls dont think it can be consider, but some shows i consider girly can be describe as the follows and yes i watch them both as a kind and even now when im really bored.

Sailor Moon

The Smurfs

Lucky Star

She-Ra princess of power

Sabrina the teenage witch (Animated)

Baby loony toons

Baby muppets

MLP and yes all generations even that horrible g3 uuggghhhh *shivers* :eww:

SO yeah just call me the Girliest man of the Year xD

Well, more than likely because this entire website is dedicated to ponies. So if you didn't watch it you would be horribly out of place

Not entirely true. A person could have read wikipedia and be up to date.

I actually liked the original MLP. At least the episodes with great villains. I also didn't mind She-Ra or CareBears (is Care Bears girly?)

I also love watching romantic comedies - You've Got Mail & Kate and Leopold being two of my favorites.

Not to mention that girly boys are not that bad either...wait...is that part of this topic...*coughs and returns to mortal kombat

I used to watch Sailor Moon every day after school when I was a kid (yes, the laughably bad Dic dub). Show was the bomb.

Powerpuff Girls, if that even counts.

Azumanga Daioh and Yotusuba& are both pretty great slice-of-life manga series (both by the same author) with a predominately female cast. I think MLP fans would probably like them.
