Bioware deals with pony hatred.

So, Bioware posted the picture featured in the spoiler, on their Facebook page. It's Pinkie Pie in N7 armor, similar to what characters in Mass Effect 3 wore. They got a lot of responses similar to the ones featured in the same picture. They responded to such hatred and anger with this post.

 

The man who wrote that response, is a boss. Plain and simple.

 

 

 

 

My only issue with the picture is that the artist spelled "Pinkie" wrong. haha

 

Contextual edit: For those that might not know, there's a part in Mass Effect 2 where someone asks you to record a message saying who you are and that their store is your favorite on the Citadel. And you can say it at several different stores. It became a bit of a cult classic line for fans of the series.

It's a pretty alright series. A lot of people had issues with the ending but if you follow the story well enough you can accept the choices they offer.

 

Also, to save you from the debacle that was ME1, if you're on an Xbox look for Mess Effect Genesis under Mass Effect 2 in the market place. It lets you make all the big decisions from ME1 without having to play the game. Pretty worth it. And with the rerelease of ME1 it's actually cheaper than buying the game. Definitely worth playing through though.

Yes. If you like calibrating giant guns, then you'll love Garrus Vakarian. If you like Seth Green (Family Guy, Austin Powers, Robot Chicken) you'll love the dialogue of Joker.

 

It's the characters you interact with that really makes the game tick. Oh, and go buy ME1, only do Genesis if you want to create other new characters with different choices later on.

I used to own the first game and was planning on buying the second when it came out.

I personally have never played Mass Effect, but I will say this: who really wants fans who would disown their once-favorite game over a piece of fanart? Seriously? If I see something mashed up with something that I don't like, I just think (not post) "wow, that's dumb" and click something else. Wasting server space to spew hate is far dumber than any piece of fanart could possibly be, no matter what franchise it's from. Loading their comments took some of my bandwidth, electrons which could have been used for good in the world. That makes me mad.

 

Also, $5 says none of them actually sold their games. I bet a lot of them just kept posting there, while some of them probably changed their accounts when they realized how infantile they were behaving.

Not going to flame the haters here, I really like what Bioshock has done here. They didn't necessarily turn against the haters nor the bronies, and instead they simply stayed in the middle, passive and calm. Instead, they just go "we will create every bit for everyone".
