Pinkamena and Crazy Twilight

Do you think that Pinkie's and Twilight's "Crazy sides" Will come out in season three again?

I don't suppose you guys would think that those other sides would come out in anypony again? They were a portal for a lot of fanfiction, some good, some bad.

Would Hasbro put them in again? Or would they deem them too "Frightening" or "a bad influence"?

Good question. I really have no idea if they will ever make another episode where Twilight becomes a maniac again... Maybe they* will, because it is a good source of fun, and probably will be able to teach another lesson about friendship.

About Pinkie Pie, that would be funny. Pinkie Pie is my least mane-six pony, but I am sure that if her "crazeh side" awakes again, it'll be very funny.

I don't want that. They have been crazy now, one time is enough. If they do another episode it would probably be very similar to the episodes where they went crazy the first time (Party for one, Lesson Zero). The only way that they could do that is if they had a REALLY good idea. Something new and fresh. If they have that, then by all means they can freak out again.

I'm not sure, personally. I mean, technically they were supposed to be part of the lesson at hand, so unless another lesson where falling into insanity would be fitting, I'll highly doubt it. Of course, the lesson were they were first put into weren't fitting to begin with.

I don't say I wouldn't like for it to happen, but I would really dislike it if they ruin their own characters just for fan-service.

I'd just say, let the crazy Pinkie/Twilight in the fanfictions for now, and don't use them until really necessary.

Edit: Also, I don't think it would be a bad influence, because both cases were performed with extreme amount of disapproval pointed at them. Example being Pinkie's close-mindedness when it was obviously a surprise party she didn't know about and freaked out about. I wouldn't really worry.

Although, them damned over-protective mothers who flame everything that even suggests something not perfectly perfect and fine... :/ Eh, no offense, but still...

Twilight went crazy because she didn't learned anything that week and had no materials to compose a letter to Celestia. That cannot happen again. So I am thinking of Twilight going "berserk" because she was on a wave of back luck. And then she starts to fear that the next thing can become serious and even worse? Sorry guys, but I am starting to get some material for another terrible fanfic made by me...

Hmmm.. I don't think that it will happen again really. It just doesn't seem like something that the show would do again... But they might lol who knows

I really don't know but I think we could see a crazy twilight but not a crazy pinkie. Just because Pinkie of the circumstances linked with Pinkie's case. But that is what I think personally.

Its a good question.... I dont think pinkie's will she learned the lesson and I doubt she would have a good reason to go nuts again  Twilight's might because that is pretty much just stress build up but I guess only time will tell whether or not they will do it again ..... ;) We shall see when season 3 comes out

I'd like to see any of them lose it, though I at least don't expect Pinkie to do it again. Twilight? Maybe...

Fluttershy has done it too, but that was more about all six of them than just her. But I dunno.

Which leaves Applejack and Rainbow. Either of those could be fun. lol

I myself am looking very forward to seeing crazy twilight again. (Hi giiiiiirls).

But any other pony would be fine too. I'm guessing they'll put something like that in the season 3 premier. Not exactly crazy but something like season 2.

I hope not. The party of one and lesson zero episodes have done quite enough damage to the mindset of bronies. Because of party of one, alot of bronies see pinkie as not a party pony but a homicidal maniac ( *cough*cupcakes*cough*) and because of lesson zero, creepy pasta now has more nightmare fuel to work with for scaring bronies half to death so they can't sleep at night.

As much as I like grimdark and the darker sides of the fandom, I think they probably won't. Instead they would probably crazify some of the other ponies that haven't gone "off the deep end" yet, like Rarity.

No, but Rainbow and Applejack's will. In Applejack's case, a 5 minute long country ballad about her descent into madness.

That seriously better be happening. It's no fair if Pinkie and Twilight have a whole episode about their insanity again, although I like it when Twilight goes all OCD for a bit like she did in Bird in the Hoof or Swarm of the Century or Pinkamena to return, but not a whole other episode, please.

Firstly, it is spelled Pinkamena, and it isn't pronounced with a long e sound.

Secondly, Pinkie Pie suffered a psychological breakdown where the only friends she'd ever really had that she could trust had seemingly betrayed her, so she was angry, hurt, and miserable. The scenes we witnessed in Party of One were very much metaphorical, including and especially the end where she felt like she couldn't even really talk to them about what had happened--she just wanted to forget it because she wanted to concentrate on the good times instead.

Twilight Sparkle, on the other hand, suffered her own breakdown under the pressures of expectations and worries, because she has consistently shown a tendency towards anxiety and towards working herself up over the smallest of issues, as she did not once but twice in the second season--let's not forget the events of It's About Time.

In both cases, however, these were unique situations, unlikely to be repeated. The only time we might ever see Pinkie suffer another breakdown is if we actually journey into her past, into her childhood, and examine what life was really like for her on the rock farm--any such examination is likely to be fraught with depression and despair on her part. For Twilight, I don't think it would really be possible to explore her complete snapping persona without repeating what we've already seen--the most we might see is her trying to deal with her anxieties in a different way. One of the two season three songs that have been released indicate she might have something else she has to deal with, but that she's handling it in a healthier manner, and so has learned from past mistakes.

The truth is, while there was both humor and dark horror value to be extracted from both of these breakdowns, repeating them would render them far less meaningful. I would rather future episodes explore the characters in different ways, continuing to build them as people, rather than trying to pidgeonhole them into some sort of two-dimensional stereotype. The show has done remarkably well in this so far, and I would like to see that continue--it's a big part of what draws me to it in the first place.

Good eye! Pinkie Pie being the proclaimed happiest pony in all of Ponyville, it's really easy to cover up your past, provided that it was indeed true in her case, that it was filled with unhappy times and even going to the point where she hated working on the rock farm.

Pinkie Pie can be sad without going into Pinkamena mode, however - albeit in an overreacting manner, such as in Ponyville Confidential (the degree to which she was "hurt" wasn't fully explored, but she did seem to be upset over it), but it looks like she's been handling these types of situations better, like she's accepted the fact that there will be sadness sometimes (her Smile song even proves so).

I think she's developed thicker skin upon learning her lessons, and that's a good sign - now with season three over the horizon, I'm guessing they will have to really cause problems within the Mane 6 for Pinkie Pie to turn into Pinkamena again, a problem so big that she nearly loses all hope despite the lessons she's learned over the course of two seasons. Given that she isn't manipulated by a third party (i.e, Discord) again, we might see some real madness this time around, and it won't be just based around problems within the Mane 6.

I want to see more Flutterrage. That is honestly one of the reasons why she is my favorite of the mane 6. If I don't know someone very well and I'm talking to them in person, I can be very shy unless something is mentioned that ignites a spark in my joy. However, if you go pushing my friends around, YOU BETTER HAVE A FLAWLESS REASON FOR DOING SO OR I WILL BANISH YOU TO EUROPA!!!
