You are a cupcake, or some other member title you like. your one post away from changing it, but you wanna keep it. You see something that you GOTTA post about. I say we shold be able to chose what we are! we would still have to earn them, but we can pick which one others see! B)

The reason it changes is because due to your post count increasing, you get new badges.

Badges are no more than a cosmetic giving people an in-the-ball park idea of how many posts you made.

For example, I got a Squirrel badge, my member title was changed to Squirrel because of that.

 

If you want a unique name, you can donate to the site.

I don't like this Idea because it basically makes earning badges obsolete. I believe the site rules say that you have to be a donor to change your title.

Member titles are incremental, they go up as you earn more posts. Donors, subscribers and staff members receive the perk of choosing their own title, anyone who wishes the same privilege should donate money towards the site.

It is not the name I like, It is the looks of the badge I like! For example, MINE, cupcake, looks very cool to me! so even if I get A new one, I really want to keep the cupcake.

Then makin the badges change every time your post count increases will make no sense.

Also, how you imagine this example: you have a Phoenix title and your badge is still a cupcake? That won't make any sense either.

This kind of thing has been suggested many, many times while I've been on this site, yet I've only been on here for a little over a month. It's not going to go through, and it shouldn't. It makes the already rather useless badges even less valuable, and it's just... no.

The idea has been brought up a few times before. There are technical limitations in IP.Board that prevent it from being possible, and we are not willing to get the custom development for it done at this time. In principle, even if it were easy to implement, I think it would entirely defeat the purpose of the badges in the first place.

I kind of like it. I mean who doesnt want to keep that epic Phoenix badge!? You could choose witch one you want as long as you have already earned that badge. That way if you are a member of the blank flanks your badge could be a blank flank!

All in all it is a great idea but I dont think it will pass. Sad because the phoenix badge Matches my OC...
