All over this forum are threads about people being upset because someone in their life mocked them for being a brony. Now, we have a thread dedicated to mocking people for being a brony. That's not very classy, if you ask me.

We are all such low CLASS people.

 

But are we mocking them for being bronies, or for not having good costuming sense? There's a difference, I think. And besides, I understand that not every costume can be nice and cute. I'm not saying they shouldn't be doing their cosplays or anything hateful like that.

What is this, I don't even? I really don't get the whole horse-head thing. Wigs? Sure. Clever mish-mash of hand-made clothing? That's cool. But horse heads? WTF. I thought the whole appeal of the show was the fact that the characters were very human-like in a lot of ways. It's very weird to see that being turned around and the characters made more animal-like.

I think these are pretty good, compared to some of the other pictures posted so far (the second picture of the original post... that man RD has the "I know I'm sexy" look in his face XD). The wigs and clothes are fitting for each character (and the Pinkie Pie cosplayer's hair looks gorgeous ), but the Rarity cosplayer's size does detract from her overall appearance. I still like her more than the RD cosplayer.

it's a matter of tastes, to me all of them are pretty awful because they don't do justice to the character and some of the costumes were really simple.

It seems like some people are judging costumes based on whether they find the person in the costume attractive or not, which is dumb. There are a few costumes that have been posted which are legitimately frightening and ridiculous XD but really, get real here people. Most of the costumes posted aren't bad at all. Many are cool, and imaginative, and a few are really funny (in an intentional way, I think). So far this is more of a "Decent Cosplay (with some nightmare fuel thrown in)" thread than a "bad cosplay" thread.

I agree, I don't think that Rarity Cosplayer's size really takes away from the appearance. I've never cosplayed myself, but these turned out pretty good... Pinkie. Is. Adorable.
