Clones?

Not sure if this is new or not, anyways...

Twas a typical day, and I was rewatching MLP, and came across this. The first pony that caught my I was Lyra Heartstrings (is this what she's called?). Her turquoise colored coat made her easy to spot, 3 times... Same goes with some other ponies in the audience.

I noticed this in other large groups of ponies too. I think Lauren Faust did this to save money on animations. I just thought this was kind of funny.

Um, I guess the possible apathy towards backround ponies is so strong, I suppose, that the vast majority of important ponies don't even discern it, to an extent. They may be so unnoticeable that outlandish things like this are undetected.

Yeah, it makes it easier to make animations, some might call it lazy, but as feld0 said in another simular thread

Would you rather have them working on developing the wonderful new scenarios we watch the show for, or drawing background dresses?

CLONING IS NOW CANON IN MLP.

Jk.

I noticed the something similar in winter wrap up there was 2 Bonbon's. I was like O.o.

And I agree with flare/feld0.

Think about clone ponies when watching the at the gala song, there are 4/5 rows of ponies and each row has the same ponies and the last

In Luna Eclipsed there are multiple Rainbow's, Pinkie's, CMC's and Pip's... So the copying isn't reserved for regular BG ponies, but even the main ponies too! Look at the crowd here:Posted Image

I discovered something else. This for sure, is an animation error. Look at Pinkie's flank. Is that what I think it is?

Well, the universe has only so many colors, hehe.

I have noticed things like that before, but I believe it's justified. The scenes with crowds stay on, at most, for 6 seconds. I don't think they need to make abunch of new OC ponys for a 6 second crowd.

It's a well-known secret that George Lucas is involved in Friendship is Magic, and the rampant use of clones is product placement for a HD version of Attack of the Clones.

Seriously though, it's just a way for them to cut costs on animation. I never really noticed it until I kept seeing people point it out, so I'm not going to complain.
