ah that makes me want to buy that even more now, have you played it and if you have would you reckomend it?, so many games to buy dont know which ones to get

Yes, I have played, and yes I would recommend it. I rented it, but I beat about quarter of the game. It's a fun game, and the RPG style kind of focuses on survival.

ok cool i will probably go out and buy it, either that or buy the game of the year edition on steam for £20, reasonably cheap for game of the year edition, well not as cheap as borderlands with all DLC for a fiver.

I have quite a few favorites for quite a few reasons:

Resident Evil: While technically not pitting the player against "zombies" necessarily(RE features the whole "infected" concept), Resident Evil is still a fun-to-play series with an intricate storyline, involving well-thought-out characters. The gameplay is always dynamic and split-second; offering you opportunities to interact with enemies and taking them away if you aren't quick enough to cash in on them. I love the recent incorporation of co-op in the series, because every game mode forces you to and your partner to make full use of each other.

Left 4 Dead: While not as dynamic as Resident Evil, the L4D games are much more intense in terms of danger. Massive waves of fast-running zombies rush you at random times, whether you're properly prepared or not, and with those odds, your group learns quickly that "strength in numbers" doesn't always apply. One thing I love about Left 4 Dead is the incorporation of "Special" infected, each with their own destructive abilities or skills. And then, there's the zombie game-enthusiast's dream: Versus mode; where you can actually play as the undead. Because who doesn't want to throw down their shotgun and munch a few brains now and then?

The Walking Dead: A fairly new game series; five episodes long (only episodes 1-3 are available now). Based on the popular comic book series, The Walking Dead's art style is faithful to its roots, so anyone who's read the comics will immediately feel a rush of nostalgia upon starting the game. This is a unique zombie game in all senses of the word. It's a play-at-your-own-pace thriller, where the action scenes are essentially point-and-click, making it easy for first time players to adjust to the game style. With a comic book for the base of a script, the game features a brilliant storyline, already tested as a published work, and characters that the player can't help but love or hate. The storyline is tailored to the player's particular style and choices, so it's possible to replay the game and survive alongside completely different people, with completely different items, and other characters forming completely different opinions of you. The Walking Dead draws a crowd with its comic-style gameplay and strong story, and keeps them there with amazing replayability value.

Actually, I have heard that the dlc for the game kinda sucks. I would check out the DLC reviews before sinking the money into it.

Best experience I got is with Dead Rising and CoD Zombies. Dead Rising's story is always good, though I hated fighting the psychopath humans, just wasn't too fluid. But it's fun.

CoD Zombies is just that classic wave defense that's best played with your friends. I have good times, the characters are good, so is the music. That feeling of anticipation from activating the Random Box (Others call it Mystery, I call it Random) as the music slows down is always fun. Also there's that euphoric feeling when you unload a LMG into a huge crowd of zombies, sometimes I just go nuts and roar like an animal.

DayZ is a good game (well, mod), but if it counts, i prefer the DLC for borderlands "Zombie Island of Dr.Ned"

DayZ brings a nice breath of realism into zombie games though, having to forage for weapons, food and drink makes it far better than the standard: Spawn with a shotgun and so much HP you can run straight into zombies, model for games.

The Typing of the Dead on the Sega Dreamcast.

You learned to type and slaughtered zombies at the same time. Any kids who can't type correctly (and if the Internet is evidence, there are many), find this game!

I'll go ahead and say Resident Evil.

For me, at least, RE is like the father of the zombie games. I remember playing (or trying to play) Resident Evil 2 in the N64 with my sister. It was just so horrifying because we didn't knew what the f**k to do... <3

My favorite has to be Resident Evil 4 though. It was completely different - in a very good way - from the early ones. I haven't played the 5th one yet, but I hope it to be as fun as the 4th. And I want to play the 6th so much! :D

Resident evil 3.

I remember when I used to play this game on my old PSX. I think I was around 7 or 6 back then. The game was scary as hell, let alone the parts where Nemesis would pop out of frikken' nowhere. The first time, when I met him outside, he scared the heck outta me, but just a bit. But every time I met him in the Raccoon city Police Department I turned off my PSX instantly, because I was so scared of Nemesis and his bazooka, especially in a tight place. I never got past that part... :(

And that is why I consider it to be one of the best zombie games - the only game that scared me to hell which gave me an immunity to other horror games.

My favorite zombie game would be a mod for Counter-Strike 1.6... I liked it a lot more than any of the actual games like Left 4 Dead, DayZ or Killing Floor. :P

The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned is a DLC campain of the original Borderlands. Its a good zombie game and it absolutely hilarious. There is a funny reference to Scooby-Doo in it along with many other funny things such as wereskags and Tankensteins, It also has one of the best environments in the series.

The Dead Linger, what other game can you kill a zombie with a plunger, barricade a house with a couch, and fly a plane into a jail.
