Do you have any codewords of instant trust?

I will give an example -- Doctor Who's real name. When Riversong revealed that to the Doctor on the first time the Doctor met her, she gained his trust unquestionably.

 

Do you have anything similar? IE if someone had a crazy story, is there one thing they could tell you that would instantly make you believe them?

 

[The thought of this came from reading "Background Pony" and thinking on how it takes Lyra about 40 minutes to get Twilight to believe her whenever she tries.]

 

Personally I do -- If you met me on the street there is a set of private things you could say that would take 15 seconds and immediately have me give you the benefit of the doubt.

I used to believe that if someone sounded genuine about sharing my values or key parts of my identity then it would be reasonable to trust them or view them as a kindred spirit, but I found out that some people lie to themselves as much as to others. I guess I'm a bit disillusioned, but no.

I almost never trust anyone with stuff involving me, unless they're my parents, becuase I know I can trust them, for obvious reasons.
