Were you a hater/Anti-Brony?

I was not a mlp lover at first, I really was not attracted by that kind of stuff...

I started hearing from this show two years ago in 2012 in a video where one my favorite Youtubers was ranting about why he didn't like MLP.

Then from time to time I would see videos where there was ponies in it (gaming and parody videos mostly), then in 2013 in a chat of a streamer (that youtuber who ranted about the show), I first heared about the term "brony", and I thought that the people in the chat were talking about "brownies" XD, then I did a quick google search and i did found a quick answer and yeah that answered my question...

 

Then time past, end of 2013, debut of 2014, still did ignore the show, then 3 months ago, in August when i started college, I was starting to see ponies in my head and I was trying to chase em away! lol, and without even i had seen one episode my brain was playing a not accurate version of the theme song of the show, and me believing that it was the right theme song, was trying to chase it away from my brain...

then in September, I was thinking about an imaginary character that I created months ago, because in my life I always liked to invent imaginary characters, and one morning i was thinking that he could be a brony, and it forced me to create an OC in pony creator, then I searched about the show for possible clue about what the story is about, because I needed informations for my character... but then for the good cause of my character I decided it was time that I gave this show a shot for an episode or two, it was also because of a challenge I got myself into to see all of the episode and film my reactions to it, but after two episodes I decided to stop filming my reactions and went on watching more episodes, then after I forgotted about my character and started really to realise that the show was at least watchable. Then nights passed, and seasons passed, went through all of them! Not long after watching the entirety of the first four seasons I was still not considering myself a brony, even when I made fan stuff!

 

And today, as I am writing this, I could say that I am a proto-brony, you know the guy who enjoys the show for it's good aspects, but who is not an hardcore fan until death, but still can make good fan stuff, but who doesn't buy MLP stuff, and, etc... you can honestly see my personnality fit in here! So, for sure I used to hate MLP but now I'm considering myself a fan of the show, but more of a closet one to be honest with you all! Brohooves! /)

I was never a hater. Heck, I never even hated anything MLP related back then.

 

In truth; I was more ignorant than anything else. I only happened to luckily stumble on some avian-espe MLP art, and that helped draw my curiosity.

For a long time I just considered it another kids show, only until this summer did I actually experience MLP FIM and realize how great it was. But no, I never "hated" on the show. Being non judgmental and open to others likes and opinions is one of my life guidelines

I wouldn't say a hater, but I just more questioned how people could like such a silly thing and that they really bothered me by having everything ponified. Though now  really question why I ever thought like that.

Nup, I didn't like the show but I had to say I used to be embarassed I didn't mind the show, but I never told anyone that and I stopped myself from watching it, then I let go of all that and I watched it, now look at me

I never had a chance to hate them. The first time I heard about bronies was when I found out my friend was one a couple years ago. Obviously I accepted him immediately but never looked into what a brony really was till a few months ago.

I wasn't, but I wasn't especially aware that it had become a meme until a friend got me on board... Was totally willing to give it a chance, and here I am today.

 

That said I've honestly developed a few haterisms in my years in the fandom, mostly in jest so I can shitpost but I do genuinely see failings and faults in the fandoms like all others I'm in. Pone doesn't get special treatment.
