So, anyways, do any of you watch Futurama? If so, when did you start watching? Who's your favorite character? Why? Favorite villain? Why?

 

I do watch Futurama. I started in the middle of November this year. I am currently in season three. My favorite is Zoidberg (he's best alien!) because he is hilarious. My favorite villain is Santa, because he is also hilarious.

I love Futurama, watched every episode, and one of the best TV shows I ever watched. Bender with zoidberg following is best character, why you ask? Because he is Bender. Evil Santa is pretty awesome, with all of his explosive gifts, so I would say he is best villain.

Leela is best character. And, who could say no to Santa? Even if he is deadly and menacing, lol. I started watching around February 2010. And, yet, I still haven't seen all the episodes.

I think I watched the first two seasons then I just got busy and didn't watch it anymore.How many seasons have they released so far?

I absolutely LOVED the first four seasons, but I haven't enjoyed the newest episodes as much, but that could very well just be me.  This has to be one of my favorite parts:

Amy Wong: Is this salt water? 

Bender: It's salt with water in it, if that's what you mean. 

Fry: My vision's fading! I think I'm gonna die! 

Bender: There was nothing wrong with that food. The salt level was 10% less than a lethal dose.

Yep I have watched it since it first premiered, my favorite character is Bender what is not funny about a thieving, womanizing foul mouthed alcoholic robot that tells people to "bite my shiny metal ass?" Favorite villain is robot santa, there have been other versions of evil santas but robot santa is my favorite.

Futurama was pretty good in the first and second seasons, then I just kind of lost interest in it. I don't think it ever reached the heights it was capable of. Had they taken it in a more serious direction instead of using the same episodic pop-comedy style The Simpsons had already perfected, I think I would have liked it more.

I used to love Futurama, although I've been inconsistent in keeping up with it ever since it moved to Comedy Central. I do remember "Attack of the Killer App Store" being a great ep.

I loved Furturama...More then the Simpsons honestly. But over the years I started watching tv less and less, until now where I don't watch it at all. So I haven't seen a episode for ages, I may have to fix that and start watching again.

About four years ago. I currently have every season on DVD and the first four in a life size bust of Bender's head. However, now that I have Netflix they've kind of become obsolete. Oh well.

Fry in Season 1-4 because his character has so much damn heart. Luck of the Fryrish is the first time a cartoon made me tear up, and Jurassic Bark is the first cartoon to make me die a little on the inside. However, this little gem made up for it.

 

 

Season 5-Present would have to be Bender.

 

My favorite villain would have to be the Robot Devil. LOVE the songs.

Good news, everyone!

 

I love Futurama, have been watching it for probably four or five years now. The Professor has to be my favorite character by far, if only because of certain moments where he's clearly completely insane and heartless.

"These old doomsday devices are dangerously unstable. I'll rest easier not knowing where they are."

 

What makes the show top notch in my book, is the non-comedic aspects where it really excels. There's great "thriller" moments, as well as intricate plots, and very heartwarming moments. One of my favorite episodes is, "The Sting". If you haven't seen it, find it and watch it immediately. One of the most brilliant and touching sitcom episodes ever written, IMO.

I've seen every episode of the old seasons in the early 2000s. Not too keen on the newer ones and a few of the films, the green energy and environmentalism really soured it too much for me. Frankly any type of show that presses some ideology too much annoys me.

 

But the older seasons I have vey very fond memories of. And I don't care if I get heat from not liking the new seasons, those people that disagree with me can bite my shiny metal ass (best quote in the entire series).

I honestly don't remember when I started watching it, not long after it first aired, that much I know. Actually that reminds me that I really should make a point of watching the shows in order because I keep catching them when I'm at someone elses house and the TV is on (I don't have a tv, too expensive and no way I'm paying for the right to have one).

 

As for favorites, I love Hermies! The whole Jamacian beurocrate thing amuses the hell out of me. I'm not sure I have a favorite villain though... maybe Ronald Reagan and the headless body of Agnu.

I started watching Futurama since it began way back in 99, that far back. However, I can't say that I've enjoyed the new seasons very much, since it became just to meta for my liking.

I watched Futurama when it was still on Fox. I truly thought it was going to burn The Simpsons into the ground because the humor is a lot more clever and sophisticated, has many genius references, and established an environment that can pretty much go anywhere. I was mad when they cancelled it after a few seasons, so much hate for the Fox executives who only liked the stupid humor The Simpsons and Family Guy produced.

 

Now, watching the recent episodes on Comedy Central, I love it even more. While I think it's turning more into a "drama comedy" akin to those like The Office, I think it still retains that shine that no other cartoon can beat.

 

I think my favorite character is Bender, because he's the one I can most relate to. I can be a relaxing and resilient guy, but once you get to know me, you'll realize that I'm truly sympathetic and willing to help my friends in dire times of need.

Futurama is the best show ever.  Especially Zapp Brannigan, he's so friggin hilarious.
 

Favorite episode probably has to be the one with Bender trying to become a Globetrotter, if only for this scene.

I've seen an episode or 2. It's alright. It's definitely better than The Simpsons, however, I'm kind of a Family Guy fanboy.

 

I like all the "Why not Zoidberg", Not sure if Fry, and "This is bad and you should feel bad" memes, but I haven't watched the show that much. However I might start.

All in all, the show is pretty decent with some witty humor and rather silly references to boot
