Bowties 8 May 5, 2013 Share May 5, 2013 Oh. My. Celestia. I think this episode was awesome, not only because of the fact that Rainbow being Scootaloos sister figure is canon, but because this is best ponys own episode. I also love the running joke between Rarity using Sweetie Belle to do stuff, because that's pretty much how older siblings work. My brother helps me with something, then he makes me do something worse. I like how they incorporated that into MLP. Overall- 8/10 2 I am a clever blonde. Because screw stereotypes. NavelColt 22,879 June 5, 2013 Share June 5, 2013 Always going to be my favorite episode of S3, and a lot of other people's as well. From character development to pace, it excelled.
daflyinskwirl 12 June 24, 2013 Share June 24, 2013 this is probably my favorite episode in terms of how well it was written. random thoughts: Sweetie Belle pausing for a second going from forty-one to forty buckets of oats made me crack up because whenever I'd sing that song, I'd always hesitate going to a non hyphenated number lol I can see her thinking 'wait, is that right.. oh yea it is!" also. random insight: I was on ponychan when lauren did a visit one night and was doing a haphazard q&a a few questions got asked about scootaloo, and lauren explicitly said that she never intended for scoots to be an orphan. basically the pony families and backgrounds were done on an as-needed basis, so the only reason we don't know scoot's background yet is because the need hasn't arose. I understand Lauren isn't a part of the writing crew anymore, so who's to know what we'll see about scoot's family -if we will-

Planty 1,053 June 24, 2013 Share June 24, 2013 Parents or no parents, Dash becoming the surrogate sibling she never had, and craves due to both her friends having older sisters, is a great theme that the show decided to use :3 I have to totally agree with this . Faust said she initially intended them to be sisters anyways . It also feels really natural and allows for scoots to be similar to the other CMC's while the relationship also has a slight twist ! Dark Horn 430 July 9, 2013 Share July 9, 2013 Sleepless in Ponyville was an interesting episode. Even though I was glad Rainbow adopted Scootaloo, I was speechless when I saw Luna, one of my personal favorite characters, have a semi-major role in the episode. 2 "The most horrible kind of ignorance is to have an opinion on an experience that you have never experienced.""Get off your high horse and give her a hug." Oblivion 20,266 July 12, 2013 Share July 12, 2013 Great episode if not my favorite!!! I absolutely LOVED the Rainbow Dash and scootaloo scenes Not to mention Luna appearing in scoots dream and mentoring her. Now hopefully In season 4 we will some more RD and Scoots scenes, Maybe even see Dashie teaching Sccots to fly, Which by the way would be totally AWESOME!
fimdash 1,196 August 10, 2013 Share August 10, 2013 (edited) Sleepless in Ponyville is my favorite episode from season 3 as well as one of my all-time favorite episodes. At first, I had no idea what to expect since I didn't read the episode description. I thought the title was incredibly interesting, and I started speculating on what it was going to be about while I waited for the episode to download on iTunes. (The episode ended up corrupted so I had to turn to YouTube, which was fine.) I pictured a romantic episode involving Rarity, and turns out I was dead wrong. I actually love avoiding the episode descriptions just for times like those, when you can make all sorts of speculations before the episode starts. From beginning to end, this was simply an excellent episode. I loved the intro scene with Scootaloo doing her scooter tricks, and how it showed Scootaloo's admiration of Rainbow Dash. When you find out that the CMC are going camping with Rarity, Applejack, and Rainbow Dash, it really gets you curious about where the writers are going with the epiosde. Soon enough, you discover why the episode is titled "Sleepless in Ponyville." I really loved the idea they came up with for this episode. Scootaloo hiding her fear from her idol makes for a very interesting episode plot, and it was executed perfectly. I think we've all looked up to certain people before, and we've all tried to appear our best in front of them. After all those scenes of Scootaloo hiding her fear, we eventually get to the point when she gets herself into some trouble and then gets saved by Rainbow Dash. The scene when Rainbow Dash takes in Scootaloo as her little sister was so cute and that wing hug was adorable. Many of us thought Scootaloo needed some major character development, and it was really amazing to see a season 3 episode giving us exactly what we wanted. I'm not super into that whole Scootalove thing, but I do think it's pretty cute. Oh yeah, we also got some Luna in this episode that was nice. I'm hoping that we'll get more quality epiosdes like this one in season 4! Edited August 10, 2013 by fimdashie
gone874 6 August 11, 2013 Share August 11, 2013 I'm glad that after two seasons, they've finally given her her own episode. It's one of my favourite episodes of season 3; I love the ending!
Dazed 10 August 12, 2013 Share August 12, 2013 Rarity's "I think I'm sweating!" line gets me every time. This was my favorite episode of Season 3 no doubt. The progression of characters is fantastic and, as others have said, I hope we get to see more Scoots and RD bonding in Season 4. RD is an excellent athlete, but still, she has her flaws and it would be interesting to see Scoots either follow in her footsteps or call Dashie out on 'em. It was also nice to see Luna's magic at work. Show 'em what ya got, Princess of the Night! Score: 9.5/10.
Tails_155 68 August 12, 2013 Share August 12, 2013 (edited) This episode took all my feels. It took all my feels, it pulled them out, it gave them a merciless shaking, kicked them around the school, laughed at them, ripped them up, put them in a meatgrinder, then returned them to me. I sympathized with Scootaloo in more ways than I thought at first. I found the episode spectacularly well written, and while it proved to be the most difficult episode to date to handle in my fic, it was also the one episode that really brings a tear to my eye. When Scootaloo has her breakdown, I seriously hurt inside. We all had childhood fears. We all had someone we looked up to. We all know that if we were to show are weakness to the person we looked up to they'd reject us. Even though that last part may not have been true. We knew it in our heart of hearts when we were little. It feels real. It feels powerful. It feels... the feels... So much feels. Why can't I hold all these feels? Barring one close second, this is heavily my favorite episode. Edited August 12, 2013 by Tails_155
The Masked Man 1 August 12, 2013 Share August 12, 2013 This had to be my most favorite episode out of all of the series. It had Scootaloo, Rarity, & Luna. My favorite ponies!~ ^-^Too bad Rarity herself didn't get an episode all season
Tails_155 68 August 13, 2013 Share August 13, 2013 Seems to be a near consensus that this was, indeed, a really good episode. I really do think it will stay my favorite for a long time. C:
unil 14 August 16, 2013 Share August 16, 2013 Ya, it was nice episode. Nightmare Moon finally came back, I missed her so much <3. She's my favorite minor character, just like Zekora.
TheLuigiLightning 65 August 19, 2013 Share August 19, 2013 This was one of my favourite episodes. First of all, Scootaloo finally got her own episode! It was also really cool how Luna comforted her in her dream. It was also a good episode for showing how it's like to be on a trip without a sibling, while everyone else has their own. It's tough!
Singe 2,111 August 20, 2013 Share August 20, 2013 Luna appearing in dreams. The weird, horrifying, and maybe sick things she must have seen. Luna walks into Spike's dream about him married to Rarity. Luna: That is so wrong.
the musty book 156 August 24, 2013 Share August 24, 2013 That episode was pretty good to me, and Scootaloo got her own episode (kinda), so there was a little something for those Scootaloo fans out there. But I kinda felt bad for Scootaloo, but she's one tough filly. This awesome signature was made by the amazing, Rainbow Skywalker!!!! Sparkle Speed 87 August 29, 2013 Share August 29, 2013 Did anyone realize that the ending background music for this episode is the same as 'Our side' from 'Into the Woods', the musical?!?!?! This reminds me of the reference to Into the woods in 'The Best Night Ever' from S1 :D:D:D:D:D Makes me so dang happy! Fading Light 1 September 15, 2013 Share September 15, 2013 This was actually the first episode I ever watched. I liked it, so I kept watching. After that, I started trying to get into a MLP community. Then I watched first episode, since I wasn't familiar with "Elements Of Harmony"

n1029 227 November 19, 2013 Share November 19, 2013 (edited) I love this episode. Easily the best of season 3 and instantly shot Scootaloo up my favorite character list (still think Sweetie Belle is best CMC, but Scoot is close).
