Do you hate Trixie?

I don't hate her at all. Quite frankly, I think she's adorable. :3

I mean, her design is very well done, I think. And the way she talks in 3rd person... So cute!

I kinda did hate her back when she was bad and hurt Twilight Sparkle. But she turned out to be okay. I think Equestria Girls changed her personality, and made her use her catchphrase a lot.

Absolutely not. I love her to bits!! I used to strongly not like her back in the day, but my opinion has changed a lot now. :wau:

I was pretty meh on Trixie during the earlier seasons, but I did end up liking her a lot more after she became a recurring character.

At first I rejected the zero, but that was because I simply didn't understand it. Now I do.

Trixie subconsciously hates herself already. Her superiority complex is the outer behavioural response to a deep lack of self-esteem. A self-deluded individual acting out a character they have come to impersonate as a coping mechanism.
The psyche can shatter from a traumatic experience creating multiple sub-personalities, which are then compartmentalised from the compromised functions of the individual. So, certain facets are left behind, resulting in a lessened expression of the original self. The further trauma, the more limited the experience becomes, until the original being falls into a distorted expression, a shadow of its former self. Namely, the shadow self. Unless the individual is willing to heal the subconscious trauma so as to integrate the damage and fragmentation that have come to form part of the subconscious secretly controling and limiting their lives. Which is why trixie hasn't been taken seriously for most of the show. She is the self-important trixter, who is actually inept and powerless. Until another conflicted individual, such as starlight, chose to accept her due to association by similar trauma.

On a more interesting note, sometimes, upon death. The shadow aspects of a fragmented soul can be separated, becoming trapped inside the planet's electromagnetic field. Sometimes incarnating into lives that commonly exhibit multiple types of mental and physical disorders since birth, such as ASD, as well as invalidating patological and addictive behaviours that cannot be fully explained without understanding transgenerational trauma and genetic inheritance.
In some cases, the original soul who they were part of, disposed of them as a problematic aspect they were unable or unwilling to integrate, as it is sometimes easier to disown or supress those aspects we dislike about ourselves, thus creating multiple individuals from one original being. Most of which are shadow entities; extremely dense aspects trapped here on cyclical transit.
Part of the reason why the world is so distorted with consumerism, dissociative disorder and every other form of compulsive, patologic and degenerative behaviour driving the individual to repeat, or even derive pleasure from the original traumatic experience, as as means to "sedate" itself by producing further trauma.

When we look under the apparent surface of what has been presented to us as collective reality, we can realize that the fast paced programing of "life" acts like a deterrent or excuse from letting us recognize the traumatic subconscious and collective amnesia underlying the false light paradigm that we have come to adopt as our reality. And even as ourselves. The collective unconsciouss that drives the artificial construct of this paradigm superimposed on planet earth. I like her hat, though.

see, i wouldnt say i 'hate' her, dislike? yeah- i too have felt what Trixie has gone through, but even tho she has changed her ways for the better and is now headed in the right direction, she still can be very selfish, self centered, and sort of oblivious to how her actions may effect others, aka to me she seems to be the same Trixie we first met, but now with a small sense of clarity in her actions and having friends to guide her, she hasnt rrly improved :/ shes alright for me

I felt the same way and didn't become a fan of Trixie's until "No Second Prances".

I went back and rewatched "Boast Busters" and "Magic Duel" and I realized that The "Great and Powerful" Trixie wasn't a "villain"

but rather a very self-confident pony who was treated unfairly by our so-called "heroes" the Mane 6 just because she was doing her job.

Seriously, go watch Boast Busters again because members of the Mane 6 were against Trixie from the very beginning.

This is exactly how I feel about Trixie. Her being paired with Starlight was the best thing to ever happen in the show. Every Starlight-Trixie moment was the best since they were such a hilarious duo.

No way, she's been one of my absolute favourites since I first started watching the show :squee:

Friendship isn't always easy. But it's definitely worth fighting for.

I love love looooove Trix, she came a long way. But what some ppl don't realize is just how good of an Episode "No Second Prances" actually is. It chills me to my bone when Trixie says "let's be great and powerful together, please.." It's a deeper scene than it seems. Trixie is ready to hypothetically "risk it all" on Starlight hoping that Starlight instinctively comes to fix their friendship. Trixie could literally be eaten alive and proceeds to put All of her faith in somepony else's hooves, thinking about who she is it's HUGE. One of the biggest narcissists in all of Equestria who is thematically self interested finds friendship to. It's important. I also HATED Twilight in this episode but I understand she was playing a necessary evil for the sake of the plot, but it really puts an emphasis on "you can't make ppl who you want them to be, you have to trust them as who they are". Starlight Glimmer being my favorite pony also REALLY makes me love this duo, so there is that...

I see this thread is almost ten years old! But I've never seen it before.

I'd just like to point out that I LOVE Trixie. In fact in the whole of Friendship is Magic she is my second favourite character of all time. Just one place behind her best friend Starlight Glimmer :PI always loved her sassy personality. Boast Busters is one of the season one episodes that I like to rewatch the most.

She was annoying when I first saw her in Season 1. In Season 5, I facepalmed hard...I think Starlight was the key to Trixie but Twilight was really defensive due to her past...even Princess Twilight herself has some things that are hard for her to let go of...Trixie is one of those characters that just needs the right person/pony to guide her on the right path...

Trixie is an enigma for me. I typically HATE her character type, but between her beautiful design & color palette, her third person-speak, and just how her smugness is animated just makes her such an appealing character.

Of course sometimes you can only run on that for so long, BUT with Starlight Glimmer added in as her close confidante it really adds another element to her.

So...no; no hate here.:nom:

Don't hate, just never particularly cared for her. She has a few funny lines and I can usually have a laugh at narcissist jerk characters rather than getting annoyed by them. However, I also very generally, though with exception, do not get sentimental for characters like Trixie. She was a bit more entertaining after she was paired with Starlight, but her personality, I never got attached to.
