What kind of test would prove someone a brony? or....

Twilight Circuits

Recommended Posts

I've been contemplating this question for some time. Sure you can ask about the show but if there was a test of someone's broniness I guess you could say, but what else could be done do you think?

Second question.... If you had one shot at something and it could cost you your life even though you knew it to be true 100% but the payoff could change the world... would you do it. (no i'm not saying what it is) You only had the one chance. Just the one.

Call me a party-pooper, but I don't think someone should ever go out of their way to prove that they enjoy the show. MLP is something that anyone can enjoy, and as long as they have discovered happiness from it, what more is required? I've been quite the fan for over a year now, but I haven't exclaimed about it in real life. I'm still a hardcore fan, I just keep to myself about it. I hope that you don't think this sort of behavior makes anyone less of a brony.

As for your 2nd question, yeah I would do it. Only if the benefit was good!

Two questions:

1. How old are you? (If it's above 12, continue)

2. Do you watch MLP? (If the answer is yes, they are a brony.)

Magic.

As far as your second question goes, I have no idea what you just said... so sorry but I can't help there.

I'm 36. I don't know why the second question is hard to understand. It's basic english. If you had one shot at something your entire life, would take that one chance you had?

Ah okay, sorry, I'm in the dumb today. :P

In that case, it really depends on what the possible outcomes were. If enough were positive, and I had a good probability for everything to end up being better doing so, I would.

That was his test to see if you were a brony. The questions weren't directed at you.

Well, my test would be similar. I would add one more question, that being are you watching this ironically.

If no, you're a brony.

And your second question. Well...as long as it was for good, I'd do it. I mean, as long as it helped people out in the long run.

This one is a tad less creepy. Wouldn't you agree?

Test:

1. Which of the following would you prefer? A. a puppy; B. a flower from your sweetie; or C. a large, properly formatted data file? Choose!

2. Are you a member of this forum? A. yes

3. There is no three.

Answers: C (The flower would have also been acceptable); A

lol I guess I could see that as test.

I'm transgendered so actually all three would be acceptable in my eyes. I can format my own data files too!

I'm an very analytical and a very deep thinker, I consider all options, all possible outcomes I can, action and reaction, cause and effect, for not only me, but for everypony involved. Good is a point of view. In my eyes it would be good and benefit many. But there is always one factor that no one can ever account for and that is freewill of choice despite the individual's knowledge to make that choice.

Why would one have to prove bronyness, I mean if they watch the show and are out of the age group they are already there.  I mean I see no reason to test if someones a brony or not.  For the second question, yes if it will be a positive outcome.

1. "Do you watch MLP: Fim?"

2. "Do you really like watching MLP: Fim?"

If both answers are a yes, then we have ourselves a brony.

As for the second question, it would probably be a yes, but it depends on what I'm trying to accomplish for humanity.

If they watched MLP and they liked it, I'd say they're pretty much a brony. I don't see anything needed beyond that.

AS for finding out if someones a brony... Well I'm fresh outta that one :P.

And the other question. Its a bit hard for me to comprehend for whatever reason, but if I get it correctly then I guess yes, just as long as whatever I'm getting out of it is good.

There should NEVER be some sort of "test" to determine if someone's a Brony or not!  Why would you ask that dude?  That's 100% not fair to the person being "tested!"

how would you feel if you told someone you liked the same thing as them, hoping that they would be happy for you and maybe even strengthen your friendship with them, and their response is "Prove it?"

If you're trying to figure out if they're a brony, simply whisper in passing "So... Who is best pony?" If they share a knowing smile, give a related answer, or both, they are a brony. If not, simply avoid their awkward stare by quickly walking away like you ain't never seen a stranger animal in all your life.

As for a test to prove someone's a brony: They watch My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (and/or older gens, I suppose), watch/create media related to the series, or play with the Hasbro brand toys. All of this, while they are outside the target demographic of children (especially girls, but not only girls) ages 3-12.*

* = could vary, depending on product or opinion

It's kinda difficult to determine if someone's a brony by test method, what would be the variable in said test? No, it's almost impossible to do that. As far as the second question goes, it totally depends on the outcome.

When I was at summer camp, I found out my tent partner was a brony (He's SongBrony on the forums)

What I did was show him a picture of Rainbow's cutie mark. It was was a more stylized version, but that's how I figured it out :P

Question 1: Have you watched MLP?

Question 2: Do you enjoy it?

Question 3: Are you going to continue watching it?

That's it. You shouldn't have to "prove" how much of a fan you are of something.  <_<

You shouldn't judge a brony based on their age, so what if they're twelve? Not all twelve year olds are actually that bad.

One of the kids in my school is twelve and a brony. Does age even matter? If they have a good sense of grammar and are quite mature then that shouldn't even be taken into question.

I'd just ask them one of the ponies' element of harmony.

Any brony that I asked this question, no matter what pony, they always answered it, and if I doubted them, I just asked them all 6 elements...

There should NOT be any sort of test that you give someone when they say they're a Brony!  If they are a Brony, then it is because they say so.  It is completely up to THEM if they are or not; it's not up to you at all, you get no say in whether or not someone is a Brony.

I would say don't ask them to prove their a brony... but if you absolutely must, just ask them why Twilight could never be your pet?

Also absolutely, why wouldn't I?

I think something as simple as:

Brook: "Do you like My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic specifically with no relation to the show's previous generations?"

Subject: "Yes, I do"

Brook: "Will you openly admit you are a brony to other bronies?"

Subject: "Yes, I will"

Brook: "...Have you ever taken a dump backwards?"

Subject: "._."

Would do the trick.
