Ofcourse i don't disagree, mainly because Pinkamena can do whatever she wants with me, and i will like it.  

Like it indeed.

 

Anyways, 'not so subtle' innuendos aside, you speak the truth.

Pinkamena does have a imposing, defiant, and somewhat almost commanding look to her, whether it be in the show

or art

 

Pinkamena has this -- dare i say "you will obey me, and i will deify you" type of aura to her look -- ok, maybe the "obey me" thing is something i personally see more so than others(because reasons)  -- but the "i will deify you" type of look -- this is one of the things the captured me about Pinkamena, because you have art of her that relays sorrow, acceptance, hope, joy, and many other complex(and sometimes not so positive) emotions.

But then you have art of her that relays, what to me personally seems like defiance.(such as the 2 pics above)

 

But why is that? What is this defiance i see in Pinkamena, this 'i reject your will and replace it with mine' type of feeling i get from some of her art?

Well, art is largely subjective, and not all art is from the same person, neither is it meant to relay the same specific message, however, some do seem to inadvertently relay the same message when you focus your sights in on a specific topic ect. In this case, a good portion of the art of Pinkamena to me, in my subjective view, is relaying a message of defiance(along with other emotions ofcourse).

Ok, what do wee see in the above photo? Well, we see Pinkamena -- duh, silly. 

But how are we seeing her depicted here? Well, she is wearing a hoodie, and is looking quite displeased -- shes looking at something or someone, and she doesn't like what shes seeing.

Ok, let's remember what Pinkamena usually represents(in-short, because ive covered this before): Sorrow, Hope, andJoy(through acceptance, hope, or generally rising above your horrible surrounding from within ect.)

 

Okie Dokie Lokie, now that we remember what emotions Pinkamena usually embodies in art, lets now look what shes wearing, and what that may mean by itself.

Alrighty, usually in media/art ect. someone wearing a hoodie often implies(in-short, because im not writing a essay about hoodies lol) the sense of 'they feel they don't belong' sort of feeling, also, usually people wear hoodies either due to weather conditions, or they do not want to be truly exposed in public.

Well, considering the background is not really anything more than just a grey blob, and with no sight of any weather, we can assume the hoodie is meant to imply a sense of Pinkamena being 'not like the norm', or 'not wanting to expose herself to the outside', perhaps 'not being part of society'. 

 

Well, what does that all mean? Well, it means that Pinkamena isn't like 'societal norms', and when you couple what you know about hoodies, the usual psychology that it usually implies in art/media, and Pinkamena face in this photo, it possibly means: Im not like you, i don't want to be like you, you will not break me, i am my own, and i will be joyful, despite the world.

But why would she be saying such in the art we looked at?

 

Well, clearly the hoodie is of modern culture/society, and often(if not always) modern culture/society expects us to bow down before it, sell our souls to it; give our happiness away for the plight of a dead end miserable existence. But when you have true joy on the inside, you reject the dead end offer society often hands you, you don't want it, why would you? You have what makes you joyful -- whatever that is, and no you are not going to give up your inner peace just because someone -- or some of many say so, or disagree with your life, or think you are not "masculine" or "feminine" enough, or *insert societal expectancy*.

 

When you have true joy in your soul, and the world comes knocking at your door, expecting you to grovel at its feet, you open that door, and you say, in-short: Fuck you

 

And that is defiance, defiance of the grandest kind; defiant because you will be joyful, and will accept nothing less.

 

And that is one of the messages Pinkamena often relays.
