I don't like it when Rarity's detractors label her as merely "materialistic" and "vain." She's classy! Class is about striving to be an elevated person. It's nothing to do with snootiness and snobbishness. A person with class seeks to better themselves, by thought, appearance, and taste, while also striving to better others around them. Why do you think she is a paragon of Generosity?

 

Contrast her with Diamond Tiara. They are both social-status conscious, but one uses her station to help others while the other uses it to put others down.

It was my first place to associate with other bronies They had an MLP Thread, and I'd go there and discuss it all the time with them Of course, I was the only Rarity fan They really sort of ignored the hell out of me over there, so one day I got sick of being left out of everything they did and just left.

I didn't really ever do anything outside of there MLP thread, to be honest, so I never screwed around with that stuff

Yeahh. Keep in mind, though, I never had internet until May of 2013, so I was still fairly new to the it as a whole at that point

But yeah I remember the days I was new to the internet. Heck, following my journey through the RP that was my mainstay back on old TVT reveals a mess of ego and judgement problems on top of craptacular writing. But hey, this is the Rarity thread, not the Reminisce On TV Tropes Thread.

Must have slipped in unnoticed amongst the randomness that was Noire and I for a few pages, then Noire and Lightwing, then just everyone, followed by it becoming an AJ topic. Seems though that Rarity focused talk was mostly dead while you were away, though I've not been as active these past few days and I've not gone back in the thread so probably missed stuff.
