Good news! Rarity is crushing Snowdrop in the friendly matches of the MLP cup. She's at least able to defeat a fan-made character  :lol:

Nah...I think people learned the lesson from the March Madness,and I hope that this time the Pinkie fans doesn't start another flame war...

Well, it was less the Pinkie fans and more a few bad eggs.

 

Bad eggs like that guy earlier, with his "It's hilarous to see the Rarity fans crushed" rouitine. And if i take a look at the "Things everyone likes that i hate" thread i see a certain rush in people with that mindset joining this site.

 

But yes, Rarity and Applejack defence force assemble! I will never badmouth any of the mane6, i like them all, but if someone thinks he can attack my favorites he will be in for some thunder.

Morning, guys! It's been a few days.  I know I'm not around here like I used to be, but I'm still as much the Rarifan as I ever was!

 

 

what responses would ya'll muster to the accusation that, in Manehattan, Rarity was only being generous with the expectation of favors from those she was generous with.

 

I know what I would say but I want your guys' thoughts as well, untainted. 

 

It's more about the idea of what goes around comes around, in a more positive sense.  She wasn't expecting anyone to pay her back

I don't think she'd be a whiskey drinker but it's a good pic regardless. Maybe a bit overplaying the whole neon saturation schtick but the basic idea is well executed.

 

Pst, this is the part where I posit the question of what vices the glorious marshmallow would be into. Would would she drink, smoke, etx.?

I think Rarity is more of a red wine person pony. Not sure about smoking though.

Artists tend to be more willing to take certain vices on because relaxants/stimulants help us a lot because we get stuck in our heads easily (and we're more open minded about it typically). But you do bring up a good point, she'd take her own health very seriously...

After "Operation: Best Night ever" Rarity searched for a more permanent solution to the whole "Case: Blueblood".

 

Spike was quite eager to help and to provide the necessary gear from his arsenal.

So, after some discussion with The Golden Cross and Banul (thanks guys!) in the "Pony which lives up to it's element the least" thread i actually noticed something for me that i actually never thought of.

 

The thing i noticed being:

 

Rarity actually never really boasts about her accomplishments and her generosity. Especially if you compare her to Rainbow. Rarity is actually very humble and subtle in that regard... The closest thing to boasting she displays is actually just a little bit of (appropriate) pride and happiness that she made someone something beautiful...

 

What do you think about that...? Did i miss something? Am i full of horse feathers? Is this something everybody saw and im just late again? :muffins:

 

It is just that so many say Rarity is arrogant and self centered... Why does she never really boast if that is the case?

You're right, and that's why some people seem to overlook her generosity.

Ironically that may be the prime reason why so many say she is not generous... They need a absolutely clear message, they are not used to think for themselves. They need someone who says to them "This deed has been generous!".

A byproduct of the modern media landscape. Thats how it works today for many.
