I absolutely hate ads. On sites I like, like this one, I won't block the ads. But the annoying as hell, adds that scroll with the page, that are animated and have sound, that download hit without your permission, that install toolbars, I don't even bother looking at those. I just block them.

I think that it's time you try out a new operating system or browser, those scrolling ads and popup ads are so annoying.I don't use any addon to block the ads but I just put a mental block so I never look at them.

I have a few ad blockers that get rid of most ads but there's always one or two that slip through. That being said I have found some good stuff through banner advertisements.

I actually do watch ads, but only if it interests me. I have a couple of sites I use to buy clothing and that kind of stuff from, and by cookies, almost all ads I see are from that site (it's one of several whitelisted sites in AdBlocker). This way I can find out if there's a nice bargain on that website or not, and it doesn't disturb me while watching a YouTube video or something, as it doesn't include a video that plays every time I click something, which is really annoying.

No I don't because one they are incredibly annoying and two it is a great way to get a nasty virus or even worse spyware or malaware infection on your computer. I have taught myself a great deal about how to remove these pests out of basic necessity but in many cases I get problems so bad I don't have the time to fix them myself so I have to get my computer serviced anyways.

Sometimes they can be a bit humourous, so I will watch it. I won't even remember what the commercial was advertising, but it gave me a chuckle.

I absolutely hate ads. I use adblock everywhere but on a few sites (like this one) that ask supports to disable adblock. I also tear advertisements off bulletin boards and out of magazines and throw them away.

And to all things comes an end. We are no more than pages in a book.

Turn the page, and thousands die. And for what? For the greed of two powerful leaders.
Turn the page and floods, earthquakes and volcanoes are destroying the world.

It is a time for acts of despair and of bravery as well.

Another turn of the page and countless refugees flee. Is this the end of the story? No.

There are countless pages to turn. And to all things comes a beginning!

I always block'em apart from here and other sites I want to support. I can't stand getting them on youtube and pop ups are a bloody pain, when you click close but its still there, so you click again and it closes everything so you end up going though all that again AAAHHHHHHHHHHH!

I've used all the big browsers, except Operah.

I originally used Internet Explorer, which had all the stuff I mentioned above. Then, I switched to Google Chrome, mostly for Adblock. Everyone said it was fast, but it's such a memory hog. Finally, I switched to Firefox. I'm happy with it.

I really do hate ads most of the time, they're so annoying... especially when you're about to watch a video or something... though, sometimes, I do check out the ad if it's something I'm interested in.

I adblock all sites except for this one and a few others, and use ghostery to block the few ads that are intiated by trackers.

I never block ads, and sometimes even click on them if they're something interesting. On YouTube I usually click the skip ad button on the ones that show up and hit that little X for the ones that popup from the bottom instead, but I'll watch really interesting ones once.

As for the really annoying ads that play sound, popup somewhere, or various things of that nature, I can report them to the site or ad service since they are usually against at least one of the terms of service between the company that made it and myself. If not, I'm most likely on a site I shouldn't be supporting anyway.

I always ignore ads. Like T.V commercials, I learn something from them about 0.5% of the time, and they always tick me off. The worst kind of ads are those that suddenly pop up once a page is loaded, and covers the whole screen! Grrr!

I don't flat-out block ads, but I do ignore them 95% of the time. I remember back in the good old days of the internet (2006-2010) ads were scarce. Nowadays whenever I'm on Youtube and click on a video, 75% of the time, an ad plays before I get to watch the video. The only ads that I tend to not skip are movie trailers that look interesting, and humorous ads that involve celebrities or sports stars.

I've gotten so many viruses from ads that that I have Ad-Block on 24/7 now, the only time I turn it off is when I'm on one of those rare sites that refuse to work with it on.

Depends. If the advertising come from googleads and have some nice looking pic, I will click it. Even if I'm not really interested to the product, at least I will lose nothing. I've modified my adblock so it won't block any ads that come from googleads, but will block every damn thing else.

For the most part, I usually just ignore them. I don't block them outright though so sometimes there might be an ad that catches my eye for a second or 2. Even in those cases, I usually just go about doing whatever was I was doing at the moment. I can't remember the last time I purposely clicked on an ad.

The ads that are most likely to get my attention are movie trailers on youtube and I still end up skipping those for the most part.

Most of the time, no. I have adblock and noscript installed and it's a match made in heaven. There are of course some websites and live streamers that do get white listed, but that's because I genuinely want to support them.

Web admins, cry me a river that it's unethical and like being a theif to block your ads. I understand your position, but it's my bandwidth and I wasn't going to press the fart button or download 1000 new smile emoticons from a shady source anyway! It used to be bad with popups all over the place, now it's obnoxious banners that play sound when your mouse is within range.

On the occasion. Most ads I see are for newegg or amazon anyways (yay tracking) for banners. The ads on youtune are usually skippable and even if they aren't they're usually 15 seconds. If I do watch an ad, its usually a movie trailer and I usually wind up skipping it anyways. If its one of those ads with autoplaying sound or something I just leave the site as chances are the site is rubbish. Ghostery does block some ads though and as such I disable for sites I frequent.
