Three Cheers For sweet Revenge = The greatest MCR album

 

A7X's songs are half decently written

The major problem with them is not the band itself

But the way they execute some of their songs

Half of their songs have nicely written lyrics

While the other half have basic structure to them

But the half of the songs that have nice, half decent writing in them

Get washed over by the way the song is structured

The lyrics can sometimes seem unfitting

Mostly within Gunslinger, which to me was their worst song besides Nightmare

Reminissions I'll admit had a pretty good lyrical structure

But still seemed to lack in it's whole musical structure

To me that song was just as poorly executed as other songs

So in general they do have skill, but they have poor structure

I don't mind going into deeper explanation

But since this is already long enough I'll just save it

 

As for Slipknot, the only song they did that I liked

Was their slow song named Snuff

The rest of them to me are songs that I'd ignore

But aren't really terrible

 

With AFI I've only heard their album Decemberunderground

Along with a couple of older songs that they did

And if you ask me they have their good spots and their bad spots

 

It pisses me off when people say that MCR and AFI

Are emo bands since it is completely inaccurate

 

Gunslinger is absolutely one of Avenged Sevenfold's most boring songs ever.

The song sounds honest to god boring in general

There is nothing special about it at all

The vocal technique of this song is terrible

And makes the whole song completely emotionless

I don't feel angry, sad, hatred, despair or any other emotions

In which vocal technique aquires the most

The instrumentation kills the song as well

As it seems as if they're trying to be show offs with their gear

Which there is absolutely nothing wrong with doing that

But if you're going to do that then

You should at least try to think of a way to make it fit well

Rather then just going all out with it

All right, well here's a confession:

 

I used to listen to Backstreet Boys when I was a kid, and I still like a few of their songs. They actually have decent lyrics compared to today's pop music.

Ok, well this is the first time i've straight up said this but...

 

 

 

 

deadmau5 isn't half bad.

 

 

 

All my other music is either brony, or mislabeled Rock or Metal music (you know how iTunes is for genre labeling -.- for some reason some of my Foo Fighters albums show as Pop on my itunes :/

 

Anyway, lemme say that i love metal (after-all, there is a permanent dedication to it on my back), but i have found myself listening to more Deadmau5, i find it rather easy to work or draw to due to it having very little variation in the tempo or style from song to song, the varying tempo and style listening to, for example, a Slipknot album, makes it sometimes difficult to concentrate.

What exactly have you heard from A7X? They have much better songs than the mediocre ones that are on the radio. If you want good A7X stuff, listen to Remenissions, Chapter Four, MIA, Eternal Rest, Radiant Eclipse, etc.

 

 

Who the fuck cares if they pioneered a genre or not? That doesn't make them a shitty band. And by the way, they didn't "steal" Overkill's logo, ever heard of a coincidence? And who cares if they have a similar logo as another band, that's such a stupid reason to hate on a band.

 

Also, just for your information, not everyone who likes A7X is a stupid ignorant fanboy, so please don't assume all of their fans are idiots. I know that A7X is nowhere near the most talented or greatest band out there, but that doesn't mean I can't like their music.

 

Why the hell do people like you insist on hating on bands you don't like? I swear all I've seen from you is hate comments towards A7X. All that does is make you look like a jerk. If you don't like A7X, that's perfectly fine, but there's no need to go around spewing hate.

Deadmau5 he is probably one of the most talented and creative modern producers

Unlike most other EDM artists, he goes outside of the box and even pushed himself

Out of the world of EDM, he's really the only modern electronic musician to do that

The only album that I didn't like by him was 4x4=12 the whole album was boring to me

I know right? Fuck the asshole in the video. Carcass is my favorite metal band and they were one the first grindcore bands. Then they became melodic death metal, which brings me to another point; a lot people hate melodic death metal too. I've seen people say things on the internet like "It's not true death metal", "It's too soft/ it sounds mainstream" or "Fuck this Gothenburg shit".

But others complain about how there wasn't Progressive House

I only didn't like the album as much as his other releases

Including the guys who were making electronic music

Electronic music is a genre that has a wide variety of different styles

I'm gonna assume that you don't like modern EDM, since that was our topic

Maybe you might like some of the more rock infused stuff

You know stuff like Nine Inch Nails, The Prodigy and some songs by The Crystal Method

Maybe even this song by Aphex Twin, it's the only one that he did in that style

But I still think that you should try it out:

But then again it's kinda like a never ending circle because people who only like thrash metal hate on death and black metal, some people who like death and thrash hate black metal, and some people who only like death and black won't touch anything with clean vocals. Well you can't like everything.

Hah, I know, that guy's pretty crap. Besides, he complains about a lack of structure, even though one defining trait of progressive music are mid-song changes in tempo and time signature. It's almost like he doesn't even know what rhythm and melody (both are present in the three genres) mean when he uses those terms. Then there's grouping brutal death, deathcore, and grindcore into one generalization, that's just gross. It's like when people classify all metal as "screamo", except even worse because he's acting like he knows what he's talking about.

 

Oh well, enough raging from me.

 

Carcass is a good band too! But yeah, I'm more into their later melodic stuff.

 

And melodeath hate? I haven't really gotten much of that, even though it's my favourite subgenre. I guess it's mostly towards modern melodeath, as Gothenburg seems a bit more respected than the newer stuff. Like, the animosity towards Angela Gossow of Arch Enemy because she sounds more "mainstream" than John Livva.

Sounds reasonable enough

Well....the only suggestion that I have left

Is to go for The Crystal Method

Since they have a little bit more rock inspiration in them

Than most of the other electronic bands out there

If not them, then I'm out of ideas

I've recently been getting into songs found in anime, if that counts (thanks to One Piece), I've grown a bit more interested in Jazz due to consistent volunteering, and I think that the A7X ripping off Overkill logo is the most hilarious conspiracy I've heard.

 

I think Destruction is kinda overrated, Kreater and Sodom are much better. I've listened to Release from Agony and It's good but not great.

 

Popularity wise, Kreator > Sodom > Destruction. Destruction, at least after Cracked Brain got meh, but from what I've seen they're not that overrated.
