Have you ever been banned?

I have been banned from quite a lot of counterstrike public servers over the past 12 years. Played a bit on semi-professional level. Now I use my Knowledge and "Skill" for the greater good as a head admin for a well known website from my country.

 

In counterstrike, getting banned is more a compliment than anything else.

Almost every forum I am on I end up banned due to things that pile up over time. Such as naming threads "PORN HERE", and disappointing the mods by having no porn.

I have been banned from too many Counter Strike servers than a human brain can actually count to. I once even got banned before I entered, I just connected and immediately got a message that said "You have been permanently banned from this server". I have gotten a warning or 2 on this forum, but no bans yet

Got banned from the Halo Reach matchmaking servers for quitting games too much. What could I do? They were lagging like all hell

Once, on Second Life back in 2008. But I've since found ways to legally change my router address without having to worry about breaking the law. And of course, I've moved houses and got different internet since then... Well more like, my old house was cooked to bajesus and back, and i can only get century link where i am now.

I've also gotten banned from the MLP: FiM wiki chat room for... get this! talking about engrish.

I wasn't even trying to be mean, i think it's actually adorable how other people talk when they try to speak english.

But anyways, some guy got insanely offended and told me to go **** myself. (Also happened before my house was deep fried)

 

And i've also had my share of warnings on ROBLOX.

I once saw an old lady drop 25 dollars at a laundry, I didn't have the heart to keep the money so I went to look for her in the parking lot xD

Nope, not yet, funny, despite my really short temper on many games, particularly arguments with haterfags, I haven't been banned.

 

Although I have been driven off of websites due to other members (hem hem, MOCpages, Flickr, Deviantart, etc) mostly over personal beliefs. :/

Pinkz don't think that I'm a prick, actually I would have done the same thing you did, at least you knew the owner of the money. But if I didn't I would look around like a lost puppy and if I don't find anyone worried about losing something, then I'll take the money

I think once got banned (I think temporarily) from a Battlefield 3 server once. Why? Probably because I was doing too good. I seriously dunno what else I could've done to provoke the admins on that certain server . That, and, I've been temporarily suspended here (Doesn't count as a ban, but you get the idea).

I love going to the limit of the banning range just to annoy idiots n such. I did that yesterday while playing league by not letting anyone have any kills, then afterward I was able to counter one kid who was arguing back at me :L

Now once I get xbox live and CoD black ops II, I will be able to move onward to the larger gaming community~!

The limit of the banning range? I jump far off that cliff. Prop blocking and killing in gmod is frowned upon, and I've gotten banned from plenty of servers for messing with the police or prop-pushing myself into kids' bases. Oh, I love trolling on gmod

Quotes on this forum don't stack. Should you quote a post that contains a quote, that nested quote will be removed. Personally, I like it that way, although it can mean more leg work if a passerby wants to read up on a long conversation that didn't originally involve them. On a forum that I used to frequent, quoted quotes were not deleted. That means that unless you manually cleaned up a quoted post to only contain what was relevant, the quote box could get very large — large enough to stretch the page and force users to scroll horizontally in order to see everything. This was frowned upon. So, naturally, people occasionally do it.

The last forum I was on was a SMF forum, so there was no limit for multi quotes. In the early days (Way before I joined), people would quote entire threads, and make the quotes pages long. Eventually, starting quote towers was outlawed, but occasionally it was allowed if the original post was complete shit. It's so fun to do.

Not permanently no, I was suspended once on this other site I used to go to years ago for I don't remember if it was a few hours or a few minutes. After it ended I found out that it was a sort of hazing ritual done as a sort of congratulations for when someone was made a moderator or I suppose in my case a full moderator because before then I was what on this site would be the equivalent of a section moderator particularly the politics section which the massive influx of politically themed topics I and this one moderator created inspired the admins to create.

Been banned from loads of Sonic forums over the years, but it is mostly on their idiotic behalf. As I grew, I realized that a lot of Sonic forums are just full of trolls and degenerates who don't care for the community and roleplay with those OP characters with a bazillion DBZ copy-and-paste attacks, sometimes even just recolours. 

 

Let's see, I've been banned for making a balanced character that was supposedly OP, I've been banned for having a Fluttershy avatar; you heard me right folks, a Fluttershy avatar got me banned, and countless other things. This is the main reason I left those forums and switched to the MLP ones, we're all good people and not just low-life trolls.

 

One of those wretched hives wasn't Sonic Earth by any chance was it? Of all the Sonic forums I hung around in High-School, that was the worst pit of hate I ever ventured into. All the regulars had huge ego's and whooped on the newbie's for "offenses" they committed all the time.

Oh theres something I have been banned from right there.

BF2 and 3 Servers.

I had 5.1 surround on my PC before it became fairly standard, and i used to get accused of using aim bots because i could literally HEAR people sneaking up behind me in BF2.

And was on a good streak in BF3 and got the same treatment.. Some people just can't stand being out done.

 

Oh and just remembered also, Kotaku, cause I pointed out a flaw in one "review" they did and how it clearly was just a simple paid advertisement moreso than anything That mod went on a ban spree as i understand it though.

Never banned. Here, I've gotten some petty warnings but nothing serious.

 

On a previous music forum I was on, I got kicked from being a moderator because I leaked private information about some changes that were being made for the site, if that counts for anything.

I probably will get one hundred or so times in my life, but otherwise I let my goody-two shoes sister proof-read what I wrote just to make sure I don't get banned. Yes, she sits around my computer desk a lot. Don't get me wrong, I'm not really bad or mean, but when somebody gets me mad... well.. hopefully you won't have to find out.

Well. . . thus far I have been giving one warning for this site (my own stupid fault, I posted a link to Swag.mov in my status). Lesson learned, but I should have known better and I was (and still am) royally annoyed at my own stupidity.

 

I'm not sure how, but I'm banned for life from Cracked for "Trolling Comments". This was news to me, as I am not a bloody troll and I didn't even troll hunt there. I asked their Facebook page what the score was, and they told me that they would look into it for which I thanked them. The next day, I was banned from the Cracked Facebook page.

I still don't even know why.

I was temp-banned once on the old wrestling forum for criticizing an asinine thread. They called it spam. Dozens of other members went on to do the same thing and were never even warned, go figure. ^^

 

I trolled a friend's online guestbook once a long time ago, but it was all out of my system after that.
