Personally I'm not a supporter of Twilicorn and never have been. For me, it plays too much into the "every girl wants to be a pretty princess" thing, and I appreciated the fact that the show didn't go there in the first two seasons. I also feel it takes it a little bit into "Twilight is the most special pony ever!" - I felt that the whole thing about her having extraordinary skill in magic worked fine without feeling overdone or Mary Sue-ish, but making her a princess on top of that feels like overload.

That said, I'm open minded about season 4 and how it will work out. I can see the character potential development in it and I'm hoping I'll be happily eating humble pie and saying Twilicorn works.

Not sure how to feel about it...depending on how they develop the plot to compliment it, it could either be good or bad. And what about the other five? The idea might lose popularity if Twi ends up suddenly leaving the rest of the Mane 6 in the dust.

I'm kind of mad about it, because celestia made her into it, because she defeated discord, got luna back, killed king sombra, etc. But she couldn't have done those things without her friends, so celestia should at least give them something nice too, rather then crediting twilight.

I expected it since Season 1, Episode 1. No Surprise, no change. It just made sense to me. I was a little thrown for a loop with the introduction of Cadence, but I still believed Twi would fly :P

I'm still sort of indifferent towards Twilicorn, i think most  others forget that since she has more responsibilities she will need to depend on her friends more especially in future plots.. it has always been the case from the start, her friends are actually more important to the show now than before, and will always be important till the end of the story

I like the idea. It gives us so many new episode ideas. A learning to fly episode, a student teaches master episode, and so many more. However, I will not accept it if Twilight becomes normal after the season 4 premiere. That would make all the build up mean nothing.

I remembered when I first saw Magical mystery cure. I was watching it with my two year old sister. That moment when the light faded and I saw twilicorn, I cringed, while my sister just sat there with her mouth agape.

All I could do was sit there as the coronation took place with a disdained look upon my face while my sister was hoping up and down cheering her head off. The only thought that ran through my head was, "This can be extremely great, or they could royally f*** this up" and I am still thinking that. I have hopeful feelings for season four, but I'm not letting my expectations get too high.

Here's to a good season and a (hopefully) good new Princess.

honestly I am a bit indifferent about this whole "twilicorn" thing, she is still the same pony, she just has a pair of wings (which she can't fly with, may I point out) but I do believe that this could take the show in new places like her learning how to use those extra appendages. I stand by the belief that alicorns are a supportive leadership class (if mlp was an RPG) and they cannot multitask, ala celestia vs. chrysalis. and if twilight is anything, she is the leader, I believe it works and it is nowhere near the fall of equestria or what have you.

At first I hated the idea of "twilicorn" but now after taking some time to get use to the idea. I have some new thoughts about it. I think it would feel better later in the show. But it was carried out fairly well and I have come to like it more.

Personally, this is why I'm indifferent:

WHY I'M PARTIALLY AGAINST IT: 1. It means she might not be able to participate in activities with the mane six and the citizens of Ponyville, which made some interesting and sweet stories in the older episodes. 2. I'm not sure how well the writers will be able to play off such a dramatic change in story and overall plot. I mean, they're amazing writers, but they're only human.

WHY I'M PARTIALLY FOR IT: 1. I have faith in the writers, just like I had faith when EQG was being talked about ( http://cheezburger.com/7439701760 ). I have faith that, somehow, they'll make it interesting and different. 2. All the buildup and preparation for this season has really got me excited about what they're gonna do with the whole Twilicorn storyarc, leading me to ignore all doubts and just bring myself to the state of awe and wonder that anticipation brings me to :P

Overall, I'm indifferent, but I probably lean more to the "For it" side

After seeing that Twilight doesn't want her friends calling her Princess anymore; Im a lot more relieved about her being a princess. At least she hates all the formalities so I bet this is something to look forward to.

Definitely, I think it's the writers' way of saying "Don't worry, nothing's gonna change! Everything is gonna be okay!" (Or maybe this is their way of saying it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=ncAM5TqnPrU#t=38 , but just a hunch ;D)

I am really not concerned with Twilight turning into an alicorn. I could never figure out why  this affected all my friends and made them want to leave the fandom. It may have been because all of them had Twilight as their favorite, and I was the only one who preferred Fluttershy over Twilight. But I still don't understand their point of view.   KUbAnTY.png

One thing I have noticed is that the people with the strongest opinions both for and against tend to be Twilight Sparkle fans, much of it has to do with how emotionally invested alot of people get in these characters. To a supporter they tell themselves "she is still the same Twilight" and that may be true but to what extent we don't really know as this change will change her in some way but we don't know to what extent or how quickly. As to whether it is good or bad, I was very worried at first but Equestria Girls did give me some hope though I still have some lingering doubts and concerns. I am at the point now where I am not making any more judgments until season 4. To an opponent this change represents a huge risk, one that could go very well or very badly and many of them feel that the season finale was rushed, made no sense and came out of nowhere. This uncertainty combined with the concepts very flawed introduction activates the protective fanboy/fangirl instincts that alot of them have. Ask yourself this, how would you feel if there was a change made to Fluttershy and you felt this change was rushed, not introduced very well and has the potential to ruin her character? This dosen't mean that some opponents didn't go overboard, I was once one of the loudest critics against twilicorn on here and some of the unsubstantiated arguments about her "leaving her friends" for example had even me face hoofing.

Twilight Sparkle was actually my 2nd favorite pony at the time twilicorn was first announced and the really strange thing is even though I hated the idea because I felt it was too soon and not properly fleshed out it did remind me of why I like Twilight Sparkle and actually got her tied with Applejack for my favorite pony which is something I thought only Luna would be able to accomplish. Of course I was always somewhat protective of Applejack and still am as I have been one of the most outspoken Applejack fans on here and have always made my case loudly and proudly for why I think Applejack is a far more interesting character than alot of people give her credit for. But nothing activated my inner fanboy protective instinct for as long as or as intensely as twilicorn did.

Ugh, I'm sorry. I've been given a 9-month wait, and I still can't adjust to Alicorn Twilight. I honestly don't see how many others have managed.

My main gripe would have to be that I preferred when no single pony out of the Mane 6 looked or felt any superior to each other. It seemed like there was no rule of who was officially the leader of the group whenever they aren't trying to save Equestria from the villains, and that's what I loved most about the show focusing on a whole group instead of just a single character.

Now obviously, we can't tell for certain if that's going to change yet since season 4 isn't starting for 3 weeks, but honestly, I currently wouldn't like the idea of the citizens of ponyville bowing down to Twilight whenever she walks past them, but I would also find it awkward that she's now a princess and she's still acting like she hasn't even noticed. There is no path for me to take which won't leave me feeling concerned.

Actually, I've never had any trouble accepting Twilicorn, perhaps because I watched all the episodes for the first time on July, so there was like a week without and three month with Twilicorn since then

It's gonna be awesome in my opinion! I don't think Twilight's personality is gonna change that much at all by the way, she's too humble and eager to please to let the "princess" title go to her head.. hmmmm.. might be interesting for one episode though.

But this is sort of the next era of MLP:FiM. Twilight is going to be more eager than ever to show Celestia that she is Celestia's "most faithful student".. but of course, in a thousand years or whatever.. Twilight is gonna become the supreme princess of them all, whether she wants to or not.

I don't think becoming a princess will affect Twilight's personality and character, aside from influencing the way in which she develops from here on out (she certainly has changed the most of all the characters since the first episode). I don't think it will affect the relationship between Twilight and her closest friends and the ponies she knew closely before becoming an alicorn, but I do think it will affect the way she is treated by background ponies and any new characters that get introduced. She's famous now. Honestly, she should have been famous before, what with saving Ponyville and other parts of Equestria from evil and destruction countless times already, but for some reason background ponies always acted like they didn't know who she was. Now she is undeniably famous and unless the fact gets glazed over, I think that is what is going to affect the show most in season four.
