Best CMC episode

What do you consider to be the best Cutie Mark Crusader episode? I was just rewatching some episodes and found that I really enjoyed the CMC episodes I watched, but I can't decide which is my favorite. What is your favorite CMC episode?

If we count Sleepless in Ponyville as a Scootaloo episode instead of a CMC one, then my favourite would be Ponyville Confidential. It was a really enjoyable watch, a great moral, concept and placement of humour. The Mane 6's reactions to their gossip articles; the other gossip articles; Diamond Tiara indignantly being demoted; there were laughs to be had all the way through, but keeping the lesson to be learned in clear view. 

 

It was a very strong episode. Quite hard to fault.

I'd have to say Ponyville Confidential. The CMC learn a really big lesson in this one, which can transfer into reality. Yes, even Diamond Tiara learned a big lesson in this one. The moral was very well presented.

I really enjoyed the cutie mark chronicles. Sure, the cutie mark crusaders were kind of pushed aside in this episode, but it was cool seeing how the mane 6 all got their cutie marks. I had a mini heart-attack from the cuteness when they found out their cutie marks were all linked together.

I really did like Cutie Mark Chronicles as a whole episode for all three of them. If I could think of my favorite CMC of one of them individually, I think it would be Sleepless in Ponyville with Scootaloo. Pretty much, it gave me the Awww moment in my heart.

This topic made me realize that while I greatly enjoy the characters themselves, there's no CMC episode that rises above "really good" (like Discord).

 

That said, Hearts and Hooves Day is my favorite. It's funny, sweet, and has a pretty cool problem to build a third act around. Plus, that Love Poison legend creates a good source of headcanon world building.

 

If we're including individual episodes, Sleepless in Ponyville is the 2nd best episode ever, so yeah.

 

I really can't stand Ponyville Confidential. I dare say it may be my absolute worst episode of the entire show. Yes, that means I rank it below Mare Do Well.

Cutie Mark Chronicles is probably my favourite. But its the exploration of the Mane 6's background and how they're all connected that made it great for me.
Plus, 'So Many Wonders' is an amazing song :3

I liked Show Stoppers the best, and if we can mention episodes with the CMC in them, but not the focus of the episode, I'll add Just For Sidekicks because of the CMC visiting the Crystal Empire.

Hmm, I think they're all really great episodes. The Crusaders can be pretty underrated sometimes.

 

The best would probably have to be The Cutie Mark Chronicles. That episode is one of the very best in the series, although it's as much of a Mane Six episode as it is a Crusader one.

 

The Show Stoppers, The Cutie Pox, Ponyville Confidential, and One Bad Apple are worth mentioning too.

I agree on Ponyville Confidential. Not only did we have Diamond Tiara being more diabolical than ever, but we also got to see the CMC embarrass a lot of characters with funny stories and see them learn a strong lesson.

 

I also agree on Sleepless in Ponyville, because Dash and Scootaloo are both awesome and an episode that focuses a lot on those two is by extension epic.

One bad apple- The song is the greatest the show has (IMO) and Babs is a great character.

Sleepless in Ponyville- Loved the Scootaloo dreams, and the inclusion of Luna in teh episode.

Actually, I also really love One Bad Apple, because I really like Babs as a character and I think she was a great addition to our reoccuring cast, and I also love the Babs Seed song.

I consider episods like Sisterhooves Social and Sleepless in Ponyville to be character focused rather than CMC episodes.  If you don't count them then I would definitely say that my favorite was either Cutie Mark Chronicles because of the history, or Show Stoppers as you got to truly see what their real talents are even if they couldn't.

MLPFORUMS, Y U NO PUT ONE BAD APPLE?

 

I enjoyed One Bad apple, as it is my faovrite CMC episode and favorite episode in the whole series. To this day, Babs is on my 3rd spot in my top 10 best MLP charecters, with 2 being Doctor Whooves, and one being Applejack. 

 

To simply put, I ADORE Babs seed, and will look forward to her in future episodes. Now, I wonder if anyone made a fan made Epsode about her...

Ponyville Confidential because it succeeded in making Diamond Tiara watchable, that has to count for something. I also loved Hearts and Hooves Day, their shennanigans in that episode were hilarious

By God, hearts and Hooves Day.  Could possibly be the funniest episode in the series.  Reasons why?

 

1) So many great little one liners, and the delivery of each of them is perfect ("We're gonna need a bigger envelope")

 

2) Sweetie Belle at her absolute best.  She is such a little shipper.  The writing and performance in the "punch taste test" scene is just perfect, and her "OH, COME ON!"  is one of the biggest laughs in the show yet. 

 

3) The facial animations.  There are so many clever, cute, right on the nose expressions here in this episode, especially for Cheerilee.  One of my favorite blink-and-youll miss it moments from the series is this one when Sweetie Belle asks how somepony like her doesn't have a very special somepony of her own:

 

 

 

 

Look at that face.  You *know* she's been asked that about a thousand times from her mother. 

 

4) Apple Bloom's vision of a school-less, apple-less Ponyville apocalypse, complete with hysterical waving arms. 

 

5) Cheerilee and Big Mac, just in general.  Their interactions were so hilariously, sickeningly cute.  You *know* that Nicole Oliver and Peter New had an absolute blast recording this episode.    (Personal favorite moment is Big Mac yelling "SHMOOPY DOO!" right before falling into a pit.)

Definitely Ponyville Confidential, the lesson was a good one being don't lie and gossip monger and it was absolutely hilarious it totally ripped into the over the top sensationalist lies and celebrity infotainment that passes for news these days.

I would have to go with "The Show Stoppers", just because they basically discover their own special talent without realizing it! Now we just have to wait and see what they will do to fully earn their cutie mark - and what it will look like!

The Cutie Pox would be one episode I liked from the CMC, even though it's more Applebloom related than all three of the CMC's xD. A second episode I liked besides that one would be Ponyville Confidential. Both episodes are hilarious and well written.
