An 8" Windows tablet from Acer. Only thing is it's executed horribly.

it's acer, what'd ya expect.

also, i don't see much point in a tablet, really. it's not as powerful as a computer, unwieldy in comparison to a smartphone, and probably is prone to break just as easy as one. i guess it could be useful with producing music "on the go"...

The only real useful thing when it comes to tablets are using tablets for drawing.

If I mention a barf-green pegasus... Never mind, I think you and Haven get the hint.

Bleah.

You and Cinny made me think about... A few tangents with my own characters...

It really depends on the tablet.   Some Windows 8 tablets are just as powerful as the average laptop (sometimes even more so [see Microsoft Surface Pro]) and those can be useful for a bunch of things: taking notes, art, music, video editing, etc, etc, etc...

Wacom Bamboo drawing tablet for like 80 bucks or something depending on what you get.

I've been told you could use this Asus tablet like one of those if you set it up right, but I have yet to try.

so why not just get a laptop then, instead of shelling out the cash for what's basically a oversized smartphone in terms of general usage. i can't imagine holding that thing for hours of usage is any comfortable or practical at all.

For me it was because of portability (decreased size makes it fit much better in my book bag) and the ability to more comfortably read e-books or online articles. It's also pretty nice for drawing; I do a lot of pixel art and it's much more comfortable to tap the screen in the appropriate places with my stylus than it is with a mouse. But overall it's just personal preference :)

I'd agree with the post above me, which is why I bought my tablet in the first place. It's only really made for internet and drawing, but I wanted a fast processor and big screen so that's why I went with one. It suits me fairly well and it's not uncomfortable to hold for several hours. Though from the size it does get annoying unless you have some small bag you can put it in to carry it around with you :3

I bought my tablet for college work and to serve as an alternative computer, and for both purposes it's been serving me well. You might be wondering why a gamer would want an Intel Atom-powered tablet as a backup computer, but I'm not going to be running TF2 or any games on this machine (it only has 64GB internal storage after all) and the performance of Windows 8 on an Atom isn't that bad.

Besides, it isn't always convenient for me to pull out a 7.7lb gaming laptop, now is it? Especially since I'm just barely getting over tendinitis in my right arm.

Actually I was planning to build a good bit of desktops depending on the use for it. two were for personal/public internet use, one was for server hosting, and two were for fun gaming if my friend wanted to use one of the desktops.

Also want an iBuyPower CZ-28 (finally with a fucking AMD processor) gaming laptop for if I go to a friends house :3

I would like a new computer though, one that can do gaming better, because this computer doesn't have the most wonderful specs, but it works though, which is the good thing.

I wouldn't mind having a tablet, but I can't afford anything and yeah yeah.

Razer Edge.

It's a gaming tablet. That gets only two hours of battery life. But hey, you can play Tomb Raider or Skyrim on the train while the guy next to you is reading a newspaper or something!

It's also fucking expensive, with the full thing and a usably large SSD costing upwards of $2000. But you can play SKYRIM ON THE BUS!

Honestly it's not worth it unless you just downright want to have the Razer Edge. My friend told me it has an outdated Nvidia GPU inside which isn't really a good feature for such a new tablet :|

It's a GT 640M. Not really that old. Yeah, it's been replaced with the GT 740M now, but it's not really that "outdated."

That's a little better for the graphics you could say. I don't favor Nvidia (since i'm a diehard AMD fan) but if it works then it works.

I tend to go for Intel/nVIDIA for my hardware. Right now I'm running on an Ivy Bridge Core i7 (Core i7-3630QM) with a 2GB GTX 675M and don't need to upgrade right now because the GTX 770M is out. If anything I probably won't upgrade my GPU until the GTX 970M or GTX 980M is out, maybe some months into the GTX 870M or GTX 880M's life.

Most people use Intel/Nvidia just because it's been like that for quite a while. If I were to build one of my computers it would have an AMD FX-8350 or FX-9590 with the AMD Radeon HD 7870 iceQ by HIS since I don't need too powerful of a graphics card.

The only two Intel CPU's I like are the Xeon and Celeron.

I like my computer, it's decent. It has an Intel i5 U470 CPU, It performs pretty well.

It has a graphics card too, It might not be the BEST best but it works very well.

And the touch screen and tablet screen is very helpful. It makes so much things easier. xD

It's outdated in the sense that the GT 640M is a re-branded 550M (or was it 560M?  Oh, can't remember), either way it's a pretty low-end GPU, but at the same time not too terrible as far as size/power ratio goes.

But for gaming I have my beast of a custom-built gaming rig and my PS3 (because Last of Us :P)

4.2GHz processor on my machine. Video card's a bit dated but I was on a budget crunch (560ti).

Just because.

Question: Worst thing that can happen to while watching a movie. GO!!!
