I actually thought it would be nice to not be invisible for once so here I am. I've been reading a book and was contemplating playing a game.

The first book in a series of three called 'Panzer Aces'. Each chapter tells the stories of a particular commander and their entire experiences throughout their war. I am a horribly slow reader so I've only made it to the very beginning of chapter IV, which is Hans Bölter's story. All of these first-hand experiences make for great visualization, it's amazing how vivid their memories of such horrors are implanted in their minds so deeply, they can write it down like a story. A much more involving and in-depth learning experience than reading from a wiki which deals with armies, divisions and statistics. In these stories you get to learn each person's name, what they said, how they say it and what they did or didn't do. Very good read, and I still have the other two volumes to get through as well!

Some chapters are solely the real soldier from the day's writing. Others are a combination of the author of the book, who was a German freelance author during WWII, and the memoirs of the soldier and also research about his division's whereabouts at any given time.
