Every season has a fatal downside. Summer has warmer weather, fun movies, and longer days but brings insects and allergies. Winter gets rid of all the mosquitoes, crane flies, and roaches along with the humidity, but the days are shorter, and the darkness depresses me.

All I get is extreme hot and extreme cold in my area, with random thunderstorms dotted in between.

Oh yes, a curse that I had to suffer with Windows 7 that I just found out how to resolve: Windows 7 has this ability to sort files numerically, so that you have, for example, 7, 12, and then 433 and not 12, 433 and 7. Since I name a lot of files in hexadecimal, that numeric sort gets in the way and all of the files that I name with letters (a-f) and not numbers (0-9) get shoved to the first and not the last.

Very frustrating and awesome that I disabled it.

>Taking off without ATC clearance

>747 about to cross runway

>LIKE I GIVE A FUCK

>Throttles up

I'd like to think that's what the pilot actually said over the radio just before it happened.

Hexidecimally? That seems like it would be very confusing. I'm not good with numbers though; whenever I try to do anything more than basic mental math, my head feels like a gridlocked intersection. I love order on my PC though. There's something very calming and satisfying about going into Documents and Downloads and organizing the hell out of it, deleting torrent downloads, installation clients, unneeded re-sized images. I can't stand how my parents use their... Mac. Every single blasted photo, word document, and pdf is on the desktop. Adobe update installers, duplicates and triplicates of the same updates, folders with nothing in them. It's dirtier than the screen that has never been cleaned and the keyboard that has bits of dried food on it. I've organized all the files on that computer over and over. I took everything on the desktop and put it into Images, Textual Documents, and pdf's, but a few weeks later, nothing had gone into those folders save what I had initially put in them.

Hex is just another form of counting but instead of having 10 numbers (0 to 9), you have 16 (0 to f). Instead of going straight to 10 after 9, you have six more single digit numbers to go through before you get to the double digits. Similar concepts apply with binary (0-1), and octal (0-8). And yes, this is also programmed into Windows Calculator, and funny you should mention gridlocked intersection, because this is why I had to name all my files in hex:

No, it's not functional, it's just something I drew using all of those hex-named files.

I never could understand binary or any other number system besides decimal. I'm a complete idiot when it comes to math and science.

And what is the Tetris picture? Sim City? What's it have to do with hex-named files?

I'm making a textural modification, and the process requires that I know thousands and thousands and thousands of texture IDs so that I replace the proper textures, and those IDs are in hex. Naming the files in hex before I import them into the game makes the process insanely easier and also provides a reference of what I'm doing.

Dat runway incursion.

The safety inspectors said that they found that the pilot said "Like I give a fuck" before throttling up, then "I REGRET NOTHING!" before hitting the 747.

Impulsivity, macho, and invulnerability? Wow, three of the five hazardous attitudes in one moment. xD

Yes, I'm a pilot IRL so I find macabre humor in applying real life knowledge to this.

I'm not, I'm just some guy who is a networking student and plays flight simulators. Sometimes.

And by "play" I mean go into slew mode in FS2004 and watch the plane spaz out. It's like watching an overdone dubstep montage, without the dubstep, MLG, 420 or lens flares.

And then they (the airplanes) kissed.

Kissed with fire and death.

Slew mode was full of lol for me, too.

Maybe I should try making a dubstep montage out of slew mode. It may not have dubstep, MLG 420y0l0sc0p3z or lens flares, but it has 360nofyz1kz, no ATC and warp speed! And I can add in dubstep! Just gotta find some Skrillex or whatever and I'll be good.

Next stop: HELL (you know it's 2spooky because it's in comic sans)

Speaking of FS9 dubstep montages, have my favorite.

needs more L-1011 though.
