Pinkamena-Pills 6,839 November 10, 2014 Share November 10, 2014 I got to the end of season 3 on Netflix before i even realized this show actually had a fandom, so yes, i would still watch it, and i sort-of did. 1 Oatmeal, are you crazy?! "Silly, you are already under my control."- Pinkie Pie Signature made by me, because resistance truly is futile, silly. Currently still undergoing maintenance. Yes, i can do that, im a program, silly.
cuteycindyhoney 13,307 November 10, 2014 Share November 10, 2014 I watched all of season one (Binge watched in a couple days) before I even knew about the fandom. I got hooked on the show when I saw the "Flutterguy" clip on YouTube. Enjoying the fandom is just a bonus. Thank you Sparklefan1234!!!
Andaasonsan 3,205 November 10, 2014 Share November 10, 2014 I could enjoy the show without the fandom, but I don't think I would have had a reason to think it might be worth trying if I didn't hear about the cult following the show got. So I probably would have just never seen it. I generally don't just watch random shows on a whim. Application REJECTED!
Denim&Venöm 18,918 November 10, 2014 Share November 10, 2014 Probably not, for it was through this fandom that I even discovered this show in the first place. If I caught it channel surfing, then probably yeah.
blank 88 November 10, 2014 Share November 10, 2014 Hello and bro hoof to all! Inspired by the Equestria Daily post: http://www.equestriadaily.com/2013/04/discussion-if-fandom-didnt-exist-would.html Would you still enjoy My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic if there was no fandom to go along with the great show? If there was no fanfiction, no fanart, not fanmusic ! Would you still watch the show? I would. I don't need other people to like what I like. It's not up to them, it's up to me (but I still love the fandom! ) Tell me in the comments below! /) I sure would, never went to these things online til after I watched it...all 4 seasons. mars 4,862 November 10, 2014 Share November 10, 2014 I came for the ponies, not the fandom. I may have first saw MLP because of a PMV, but I didn't engage with the brony community for my first three years of pony. So I think I'd still watch the show.
Kapitan zur See Hans (Daz) 883 November 10, 2014 Share November 10, 2014 Of course, I may be relatively new to everything, but the show is what brought me in. The fandom just makes it 20% cooler.
Invincible 2,091 November 10, 2014 Share November 10, 2014 Probably not. The show is good, but the fandom complements it, for me anyway. It's what brought me to the show in the first place; i find the fan works that appear as the show carries on very enjoyable. Ashen Pathfinder 16,161 November 10, 2014 Share November 10, 2014 I came for the ponies, not the fandom. I may have first saw MLP because of a PMV, but I didn't engage with the brony community for my first three years of pony. So I think I'd still watch the show. That's pretty much me as well. While it was because of bronies that I discovered the show, I never really interacted with the fans all that much until I joined the fandom. Even then, without all of the art & such, I'd still watch the show. Sugar Cuddles 402 November 10, 2014 Share November 10, 2014 Probably would be a bit of a guilty pleasure. But not as much. Then again, I don't watch it much anyway xD

Steel Accord 6,660 November 10, 2014 Share November 10, 2014 Certainly. I do love this show and feel it has had a powerful impact on me. Good characters, good setting, funny jokes, etc. I would say that I may not be as better a person I am then before, because this would be just another thing I enjoy in isolation rather than a community I joined. Adorkable 2,737 November 12, 2014 Share November 12, 2014 Lately, I've felt kind of far away from the fandom. But yet, I still watched the show, it still cured the depression with smiles and magic. With this in mind, I feel I would still watch the show if there wasn't an amazing fandom behind it.
Rainboom Dash 1,056 November 12, 2014 Share November 12, 2014 I'd still watch if there was no fandom, though if no one else was talking about it it'd be more of a guilty pleasure for me.
catnet 9,356 July 27, 2015 Share July 27, 2015 I prefer the fandom over the show, but I'd still be watching it since it gives me a lot of much-needed positivity and entertainment. Not having anyone to talk about it with would be kinda disappointing, though. =/
GeekySonic 1,150 July 27, 2015 Share July 27, 2015 Possibly. I was introduced to the show through the fandom, and it took a long time warming up to the fandom before I even considered watching the show. I guess knowing now that it's a good show, I can say yes I would, but I honestly wouldn't have gotten into MLP without the Brony fandom. cider float 2,538 July 27, 2015 Share July 27, 2015 If I only watched the first and second episode I know I would watch it through though There are shows that I watched even though I didn't know they had fandoms so yeah I would watch it fandom or not. Concerned Bystander 2,902 July 27, 2015 Share July 27, 2015 Hard to say, I discovered the show by watching it with my daughter. It was however the fan produced content that really got me into it. I dare say I'd still watch it with her but I probably wouldn't have so many t-shirts.
SteffieMusings 295 July 28, 2015 Share July 28, 2015 I had been a My Little Pony fan since I was a young girl, so I would still watch this show. I don't really hang around the fandom much, so I doubt it would make much of a difference. My O.C. Sweet Light My O.C. Porcelain My O.C. The Extemper 59 July 28, 2015 Share July 28, 2015 Not anymore, infact I currently don't watch it very much, I mostly just participate in the fandom. I still like it, I just feel that I have watch it too much and thus it has become cloy. I would probably completly move on if there was no fandom. Somepony42 20 July 29, 2015 Share July 29, 2015 I don't think I would watch the show at all without the fandom, as my sister showed me this show, and she only heard of it through the fandom. On the other hand, maybe I would if I found my younger siblings watching it. Though not as often as I already do I guess.
Ac3xAssasin 453 July 29, 2015 Share July 29, 2015 Since I'm already into the show, if the fandom disappeared tomorrow I would still probably watch it, but had it not been for the fandom I would have never found the show to begin with.
Manman20x6 359 July 29, 2015 Share July 29, 2015 If the show had never become popular, I would have not had a reason to start watching it. It was the many dedicated fans who allowed me to see past the "My Little Pony" name and find that it really is a great show. If the fandom was significantly smaller and less active, but still big enough to be noticed, I would still watch it. But this is a moot point; if the show is good then a fandom will form around it.
