As always, hopefully the requester is satisfied . I'm kinda underwhelmed with the 2 drawings prior to this one, I think I kinda derailed with my hairstyle, the way I drew the hair doesn't look as much like hair as it should (more noticeably in the Thunder Dash potrait). I think the problem was I didn't really know how to do the hair in those styles, and also wanted to not keep reusing the same hair ideas, but that was bad of me, so I went back to the type of hairstyling seen with Sport (and my Rarity portrait, those of you who've seen it know what I mean) and I think it looks much better, since it really looks like hair.

If it isn't too much trouble, do ya think you could do one for me of my OC Arctic Frost and his sister Crossfade? I have an idea in mind: two headshots, kind of facing each other with an aggressive feel to it like those pics you see of a head-to-head musician battle. They're both in my signature.

 

I REALLY look forward to seeing how this comes out. If two is too much, it's cool, I'll settle for a headshot of Frost smirking like he knows something you don't know. ;3

Thanks, I am sorry for the wait tho, I've just been off my grove for a little while, now that I've got it back (as of my nightmare moon portrait) I'm able to draw confidently again. Yours is almost done now, however, it's looking pretty beautiful. Much better than what I linked before.

The only complaints I have is that I feel I did the hair strands a little too skinny (and too many of them as a result) and the hair on one side of her horn makes her look a little different than your OC, but that could just be the wind blowing her hair into a mess, so I felt that was alright to keep in. What do you think?

here is a request i don't have any final  OC picture of them but i do have descriptions for them. hopefully you can work with this.

idea #1

- Type of pony Pegasus

- size same size as twilight (maybe a smidge taller)

-hair style something jagged straight but jagged

- Tail style same as hair style but with a hint of free flow

Idead#2

 

- Type of pony Unicorn

- size just a hair bigger than applejack but shorter than Big Mac.

-hair style either free flowing (or spiked in some way shape or form)

- tail style free flowing

 

(i would have added color details but looking at your previous finished art work i opted to go for looks here.)

also don't worry about size i know it wont be really relevant here, but i guess it does help. so you know that your not drawing a little filly.

Alright, I'm not gonna be like a certain artist from another forum who I made a request to and never gave me my request despite me having said he would do it, and just outright say it, I'm having trouble doing some of these requests, unfortunately : /. As I've been drawing these requests, I've learned that it's difficult to draw something you don't really find interesting, or at least not interesting enough. I could, theoretically, but there's a good change that it would be lacking in the love department, which is mandatory for my drawings to be the best I can make them, or to even be good at all.

 

I'm not saying I won't ever do all of these requests, it's just......difficult to motivate myself when I'm faced with something I have no desire to put onto paper. If I don't want to do it, then there's no point, the end result will most likely be crap. I dunno what to do, I'm not sure if I wanna say I'm only gonna draw OC's that interest me, because I don't wanna exclude people just for that, but at the same time, it's not gonna be worth it to draw OC's I don't wanna draw. To be fair tho, one of the OC's I've drawn so far has been one I didn't wanna draw, and it turned out to be one of my best drawings ever, and I'm very pleased with the result, but as I said it's not impossible, so yeah.

 

That, and I'm on a realistic art binge atm, and I don't know when I'll be interested in drawing cartoony again. I have a feeling it's not gonna be for a long while......I do plan on finishing these requests at some point, but I'm not making any promises, for any of them, even the ones I do want to draw. I think what I'll do is, when I'm back to drawing OC's, if ever, I'll attempt to draw ones that don't interest me, and if I just can't motivate myself, I'll tell the person. No I don't like excluding people, but it's not fair to the people with OC's I want to draw to not draw their OC's just because I don't wanna draw certain other people's OC's.

 

So that's all I got to say for now. Hopefully no one's upset by this.

you can go ahead and put my request off to the side until you feel like taking up drawing again i wont mind if it takes a long time before i get it, all that means is it will be an even bigger surprise when i do get it. And if you decide to not draw mine all together just message me telling me that and i promise to not be mad or even slightly annoyed because i know exactly what your going thru   When an artist such as yourself loses interest in drawing a certain thing it becomes almost a chore to finish instead of something fun and relaxing like it should be.

Take your time man if you dont want to draw the requests because of lack of interest right now dont force yourself to draw them take your time and come back to them when you are ready. oh and just so you know i wont mind if you decide not to do my request for Cobalt i understand not wanting to do something due to lack of interest just let me know ok
