So recently I've been on the MLP Wiki and seen two new characters in the list!

 

- Shining Armor

- Princess Cadence

 

They are said to soon to be in a episode, I am wondering how they will act.

 

What do you think their personalities will be like?

I imagine Cadence will be the prissy type who's come to stay with Celestia (who is her cousin or something) and Shining Armor is the stallion who encourages her snobbish behavior. Then Twilight or somebody ends up teaching her how to not be so snobbish as Princess Cadence observes the Mane Six's friendship, and they all learn a lesson which they write in a letter to Celestia.

 

It's all I've got. Probably wrong though.

Princess Cadence is another Princess (you don't say?), possible another Alicorn! Shining armor is probably a knight who works for her. Cadence must be a tyrant then! IMO

If anypony didn't notice yet, Shining Armor was drawn with Princess Cadence on a play set picture where she was wearing a wedding dress, probably Shining Armor is her groom

We don't know anything about their episode yet, but I think they are getting married. My guess is they are from Trottingham (British). I wonder if the episode will be more focused around Celestia and Luna?

I have a feeling this Princess candence character or whatever will appear next episode. It just seems fitting it would be a valentine's day episode.

This show usually produces pretty interesting characters- I'll bet these 2 will be no exception, but we'll see.

The two alicorns we've seen so far are kind of like gods. My guess is that all the alicorns have an area of power (I don't know how to put this in the right context) kind of like the Greek gods/Norse gods/eqyptian gods/etc. If that's true, I'm guessing Candece represents a season. (summer or spring is my guess)

Actually I owe Rarity an apology for that remark. I didn't know Princess Cadence and Shining Armor were getting married when I wrote that. I just read somewhere that they were from a play-set coming out soon.

An unwed pony mother? Or soon to be wed pony mother? I'm not sure if that would work out but it's a neat theory. I'd like to think that if she had a mother she'd be a bit more powerful looking. Maybe since Celestia and Luna control the sun and the moon, she would control the solar system or the galaxy. Or even better, a black hole. She could be the mare of destruction. Tick her off and you'd be sucked into a black hole never to return!

Well, part of what has me thinking she's their mother is her name. The word cadence is related to the word harmony in its etymology and meaning, so she probably has something to do with the Elements of Harmony. Both Celestia and Luna have had ties to the Elements, but we still don't know where they came from or why they exist. Cadence may be a part of the explanation for that.

 

So it could be that she no longer exists in the present time, but is a historical figure instead, one who passed away at some point prior to the present date.
