An amazing idea for a fanfic, but I need some help and ideas.

Now, let me tell you what my idea is. 

 

"One night, a 15-year old filly from Manehatten has a vivid nightmare which tells her of the possible future, unless she doesn't do something about it. She wakes up with a start, and finds that the dream has come real, and runs away from her home with only her favorite blue hairbrush (guess where I got that idea from) and a knife from the kitchen to defend herself after a strange transformation has come over her family and neighbourhood. She fights her way through many perilous journeys on her way to make the choice that would change Equestria forever...."

 

TA-DA!!!

Awesome, I know, right?

I just love action/adventure stories that involve a female heroine phycic that has to save the world...

 

Anyways, back to the point.

I need someone to give me some tips on writing a long fiction (this will be my first fanfiction ever) and I also need someone to do a cover picture. If you are interested in doing the cover art, please PM me, and I'll tell you what I'd like it to be about. I also need some ideas for other characters. So far, I only have one:

To everyone else: If you're not interested in doing the cover art, but you've written fanfics before and you have a lot of experience, please give me some tips! I'll give you some credit when I 'publish' it, and if this works out as planned, I hope to have it featured on Equestria Daily. But let's not get our hopes up too high. Well, okay. I've changed the idea a bit. 

 

"Candy has a strange dream that turns out to be real and it comes to life, and Celestia appears to her and tells her a dangerous secret and sends her on a quest to rescue/find her 'soulmates' and together they save Equestria. They are all actually the future elements of Harmony... because this story is set in the future, and they are descendants of the Mane 6."

 

I have a couple characters so far:

 

• Candy - descendant of Pinkie Pie
• Tiger's Eye - descendant of Rarity
• the twin descendants of Rainbow Dash (I haven't got names for them yet, but I have an idea of what they look like. I'm thinking like this picture I drew a while agao...

 

like that. I want her to have a twin brother, and together they are teh element of loyalty. 

 

Then... I need a descendant for AJ, Fluttershy, Twilight (I had an idea for her. Her name would be Static Shock, but I don't have a design for her yet).  

 

So... all you bronies out there who have a talent for designing OC's or naming them, please give me a name for 

 

1. The twin brother and sister. I want their names to have the word 'Blue' in it possibly, and have something to do with lightning, speed, wings or anything of that sort. I would prefer for the boy's name to have 'Cloud' in it. No, 'Cloud Blue' doesn't cut it.
2. AJ's descendant should have Apple in her name. or not. I don't know. 
3. Fluttershy's could be flowers or butterflies. Again, I don't know.
4. Twilight's descendant could also use a name, since I'm not too happy with the one I have now. Something with magic, or power, or electricty.

So far I have a proof-reader already, and a cover designer, but I still need all the help I can get!

Is your proofreader an editor as well? If not, I wouldn't mind being the editor for the story. I am very good with grammar and spelling, so I would be good for the job. I could give tips for you on it when you're ready too.

I like my Twilight names over the rest.

 

Possible Backstory:

 

Candy: Celestia has been secretly watching her grow up (in the same way she watches Twilight) and made Luna give her these dreams to warn her. The dreams would start subtle and meaningless, but as she grew up they would get more vivid. She is certainly something special, but she does not know it yet. Many unexplained things from her childhood would be explained throughout the story. I also suggest you add a slight bit of foreshadowing at the start like a chapter or however else you choose to organize it. Maybe Candy could have some relation to the other ponies in the 'new mane 6', or maybe make them Candy meet some of them as children.

 

PS: Feel free to only use part of the backstory, and I'll keep updating as I get more ideas.

Oooh, I like those names, everyone, and your idea for the story, RD4!

 

I think I'll stick with Magelight Sparkle, or I might rename her Sunset Sparkle. I don't know yet. 

 

I also think I'll call the appley one Sugar Cube or Sweet Yeller, like RD4 suggested. What is a Sweet Yeller, anyways? 

 

As for the Fluttershy one, I think I'll call her Dawn Daisy.

 

Now I just need a name for Skye's twin bro. Something with blue/lightning/clouds.

Sweet Yeller is a reference to 'Old Yeller' since he is a yellow country animal in some sorts.

I think I have a pretty good names for the 'Rainbow Twins'

Okay everypony! Today, I wondered about the issue over and over in my head all day (like I always do when I want an idea) and I came up with an idea for most of their names + designs!

 

PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT STEAL MY CHARACTERS OR NAMES!! 

 

I present to you the twins: Skyfall Blue and Cobalt Blaze!!

Skyfall likes to be called Skye for short, and Cobalt likes to be called Blaze. (But I've gotten into the habit of calling him Cobalt )

Blaze is light blue with magenta eyes and dark blue mane, and Skye's coat is slightly darker, and she has green eyes. Cobalt also has a teeny crush on Candy. As soon as I can get to draw a picture of them, I'll create a proper RP profile for them and stuff.

 

Also, I designed Tiger's Eye today. She is white, with deep orange hair with a couple black stripes in it. She wears purple (for now) eyeshadow. 

 

Also, I did a nice human sketch of Candy while i was waiting to pick up my brother after school. (She is a human in the picture, because 1, I am better at drawing humans by hand, and 2, I was in the school, with people walking around me staring down my picture. Needless to say, it came out great, and I'm planning on sticking with the hairstyle....)

I want to call the applejack one Applesauce. She will be light orange with a cinnamon brownish mane.

 

I'm going to name the Twilight one "Starlight Sparkle' instead. She will be blue with deep purple hair. 

 

And, the Fluttershy one will be named Summer Sunset. She will be yellow like Fluttershy, but she will have orange red streaked mane. 

 

And so, I have now finished all of my charcaters!! Round of applause, everypony! The other characters will just be referenced to, e.g. Luna, Celestia, Rainbow Dash, Twilight etc. and of course, all the villains....

 

Now all I have to do is write a witty, 20-chapter long, 5 pages to a chapter, interesting story with tons of action and adventure. Go figure.

It will be written in Candy's P.O.V, and I'll make sure to give her her own faults and stuff, all of them actually, so she doesn't sound like a Mary Sue. Okay, I think that's all, and thanks very much to all those who have offered to help!!

    Yeah, not a problem at all Fireball . I hope that your story turns out to your liking and gets recognized. I need to put my thriving imagination to more work anyways, and coming up with characters is the perfect place to do it.

 

(Please check our PM chain when you get the chance because I need to ask you something about my own story, and it could determine me having to go back and pretty much rewrite my first short story, and change the plot of the entire story)
