P.S. I don't consider AC/DC to be heavy metal (I don't know why some people do sleep.png ), they're just hard rock

Hmm... so what kind of metal do you like? I'm assuming you like thrash metal because you nominated Ride the Lightning but are there any other subgenres you like? And yes, AC/DC isn't metal (and neither is Led Zeppelin.)

I don't listen to much electronic, except for Nine Inch Nails and Radiohead. BTW, I'm on my phone so I can't update the list right now.

It's too late now, I already added it by mistake. I let you get away with it this time, but I won't next time. Seriously, you lucked out here, I can be so absent minded sometimes... :/

Yea I know, I was just joking around tongue.png

My next nomination will be "Bleach" by Nirvana. A classic, great album which happens to be my favorite by them

I'll nominate another. Miles Davis' "Bitches Brew." A jazz fusion masterpiece from one of the genre's inventors, to add some diversity to the list.

YES! Fellow jazz fan! I love you now. Haha! /)

I'll nominate Miles Davis' "On the Corner". Another jazz fusion masterpiece that's less-known, and even more "out there" than Bitches Brew.

That's an awesome album, one of my favorites. But dammit you have to wait your turn, one person got away with it. I don't want someone else too.

Wait my turn? I thought I could post whenever I wanted and the OP doesn't mention any "turn rules"...

I'm guessing that I can't nominate an album in this post :P

Yes I did, it says that you have to wait for someone else to post before you can post again. NOW, you can nominate Bleach or any other album you want.

Got another one for you. Joshua Tree by U2. Damn good album in my book as well. I like over half the songs and also has their greatest song, where the streets have no names, on it. Definitely different from most of the albums that have been nominated.

Oh, alright I get it now. Since my last nomination didn't count, I guess that I'll be nominating "Bleach" now

I'll stick to the rules in the future

Is there going to be any kind of voting, or will this just be a compilation list? Nothing wrong with lists, but a tournament would be a ton of fun (and a good way to try new music)!

I don't like the idea of a tournament, it would be really weird and unfair. You would have Opeth go against Michael Jackson and then it just becomes a popularity contest, that's why I don't like the idea. Edited by AtDawnTheySquee

I'm mostly into Tradtional Heavy Metal (Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden...) and Thrash Metal (Anthrax, Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer..)  I don't consider Zeppelin to be metal, just hard rock. Is there any difference between hard rock and metal?

Speaking of Led Zeppelin, I'll nominate Led Zeppelin IV

Also, will there be an end to this list or will it go on...

Well, I can finally nominate an album now.

Alrighty, my next nomination will be "A Beautiful Lie" by 30 Seconds to Mars. I might nominate This is War a bit later....

Wrong Radiohead album is on there so I'll pick Ok Computer instead. Glad Loveless and The Smiths are on there already. We only one get vote, period, right?

Glad to see someone else from here on RYM.

I already nominated Favorite Worst Nightmare, but "Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not" is probably Arctic Monkey's strongest album that definitely deserves a spot on this list

Nah, I'll keep the list going on forever. Besides, why would you want it to end? This list is FAR from complete. We still have a long way to go.

You get one vote per post, and you can't go twice in a row. You have to wait for someone else to vote before you can vote again.

BTW, not only are MBV and The Smiths on there, but so are Sonic Youth and The Velvet Underground. Cool, huh?

I'm gonna make another jazz recommendation with "The Shape of Jazz to Come" by Ornette Coleman. Essentially the precursor to free jazz, some of the most jarring music on the planet.

I'll add on one final Metal album, Functioning On Impatience by Coalesce.

I only wanted Amnesiac on there because it's such an under rated album.

You can never have too much Dubstep, so my next nomination will be "Repercussions" by Distance, one of my absolute favorite Dubstep releases of all time

Gonna request a Death in June album, "The Snow Bunker Tapes". Probably my favorite album to be released so far this year. Now there will be one neo-folk album on the list.

Eh? Nandatte?

Since I've already nominated some Metallica, how about I nominate some Iron Maiden. I'll nominate my favorite album, Powerslave.

Another album by Distance that will go to the list: "My Demons". I guess that will be enough Dubstep for now, I haven't really nominated that many Grunge albums
