Silly me, I haven't nominated Ever Forthright's self-titled debut yet. It's one I and Twiliscael both have an incredibly justified affinity for.

If we're going to nominate Grunge, we got to go back to it's roots. I am of course talking about The Pixies

I nominate their debut album "Surfer Rosa"

Silly Neighvana, that's the EP, not the album.

Next nomination is going to be Madvillain's "Madvillainy." My favorite hip hop album of all time. Basically what a really gritty comic book would sound like.

I've decided to nominate an album for this thread. That album is Everything Goes Numb by Streetlight Manifesto.

3rd wave ska, and basically a revival of the genre. It's both an entry-level ska album, but also regarded as one of the most influential and important in the past 15 years.

Continuing with my prog nomination stint, I'll go with "Catch Thirtythree" by Meshuggah. Another one from my top 10 all time records.

Silly me not nominating The Mantle by Agalloch, an amazing Post-Metal/Black Metal album that I love to death. Actually it's one of my all-time favorite albums.

Another album I'd like to recommend is Strapping Young Lad's City. It's widely considered to be one of the best metal albums of all time.

Devin Townsend is a musical god.

My next nomination will be The Pixies's masterpiece "Doolittle". The foundation of all future Grunge and Indie Pop and Kurt Cobain's main inspiration

Ah yes-The first album on my list would be a fairly new addition to their catalog-namely 'Inferno' by Motorhead.

Pioneers of British metal, and one of my favorite bands of all time.

What are you talking about? What did I nominate that's an EP?

You know what? I'm going to nominate an EP now, I'm nominating Superfuzz Bigmuff by Mudhoney.

What about 'Kill 'Em all' by Metallica?

Was originally going to be titled 'Metal Up Your Ass', and was going to have an album cover featuring a toilet with a sword coming out of it.

Picked this up on vinyl in the mid '80s-was in a bargain bin. Great album.

Dont expose Opeth to any sort of YOLO. And you shouldnt buy every single Converge, Opeth, Nine Inch Nails, or any Black Metal albums there, or else you will make me jelly of you.

Also nominating Ghost Reveries by Opeth to keep this post relevant

Another one would be 'Rust In Peace' by Megadeth-one of the 3 thrash albums that basically defined the mid '80s, the other 2 being Master Of Puppets and Reign In Blood. Rust is a close run against the other two, but I think it just edges them out.

I'll add Destroyer 666 "Unchain the Wolves". A true masterpiece of black/thrash. Anti-Christian, pro-heathen, with solid musicianship and? good energy to back up the message.

This is the album that got me into extreme metal, circa 2007.

Eh? Nandatte?

Best Opeth album is My Arms, Your Hearse.

Nominating that.

The lyrics are all poetic on that album.

"It was me staring through the looking glass..."

Damn...good choice, I was about to nominate that one, oh well to keep the Opeth going I'm gonna nominate Deliverance. After this nomination I'll think of something else other than Opeth to put on the list

My next nomination is my second favorite Iron Maiden and their only concept album (I think...) "Seventh Son of a Seventh Son", try saying that ten times fast!

Oh well, I'll just nominate Human by Death because who doesn't like progressive death metal?
