I like some of the songs from the Black Album (Wherever I May Roam, Don't Tread On Me, Of Wolf and Man).

 

I don't like Load and Reload at all.

Ohh, I want to nominate Since I Left You by The Avalanches.

 

This is definitely the best album I've ever listened to. As a whole, it is a seamless, magical journey, made entirely of samples from the most diverse corners of popular and obscure music.

 

I've been waiting for the follow-up album for over 10 years now.

The Black Album is okay I guess. It has a few decent songs I guess. It's better than Lulu and Load I guess. Tbh, I think MoP is overrated, I like it but I still think it's overrated. It's not even Metallica's best album, Kill Em' All is their best album. (In my opinion)

Time for my next Philip Glass nomination (god, I need help). To end the "Portrait Trilogy" comprised of the previously nominated "Einstein on the Beach" and "Satyagraha," the final part of the trilogy, "Akhnaten," is some of my favorite music in terms of contemporary opera that comes closer to opera than "Einstein." This one is about the life and times of the pharaoh the opera is named after, who needs to be played by a countertenor. Listen to this piece if you want to know what that entails.

I would like to nominate Type O Negative- Bloody Kisses. Such a dark album, gothic, before being goth was cool. Peter Steele has one of my favorite voices in metal.

And now that this thread is back I'd like to nominate Hearts Once Nourished With Hope And Compassion, it was Shai Hulud's debut, and one of their best albums. If I already nominated that one or if it's already been nominated by someone else, then add on Misanthropy Pure instead.

The Hands That Thieve by Streetlight Manifesto. By this record, they have really secured their sound and position as ska juggernauts and complete saviors of the genre. A perfect blend between the more serious and harsher style from their debut and the more upbeat and silly style from Somewhere in the Between.

 

A work of art for sure.

I've got a couple albums I want to nominate, so hurry up and post lol.

 

I'm going to nominate "Comatose" by my favorite band Skillet.

 

I love pretty much every single song on this album. From "Comatose", to "Whispers in the Dark." It just had such a great sound that most Christian bands can just never get, and with just beautiful guitar playing by Ben Kasica just make this in my mind one of the best Christian albums out there.

 

 

I'm pretty sure I have a problem with "Rebirthing" though. I think I listen to it too much.

 

 

 

 

One more thing, if the three singles from Rise are anything like the album, I will need help to get my headphones off because they will be glued on I'll be listening to it so much lol.

Best album by them IMHO. Had tons of great songs.
