How much do you think i could sell my Pokemon cards for? :o

So my family is moving into a our very own house. FINALLY XD. And I really want to get a new puppy, but I need the money first. I have 2000+ Pokemon cards that I have been collecting since I was little, including many foil cards and several very rare full and completed evolutionary sets. Most of these are first gen pokwmon though the gens of the cards vary and none of them are from B/W or X/Y. Diamond and Pearl is as bew as they get. I need 350 dollars for the puppy but I have no idea what a collector would pay for all my cards. Does anybody know what they be worth?

If you have Black Charizard EX I think something like that. I sold mine for $300. That is one of the rarest cards out there, but most cards go for like 5-7 dollars just depending on the type of card it is.

You misunderstand. I have OVER two thousand cards. Only about a quarter of those are energy or trainers and very few duplicates. I have several first edition 1996 cards a bunch of EXs and MANY holos and extremely rare cards. Like foil arcanine EX with foil growlithe for example. And a I beleive 2nd edition pikachu and a first edition Zapdos.

Well your best bet, is to take the ones that are known to most of the collecting community to normally be of "higher" value and get them PSA graded. That will help to determine costs for the rarer cards.

 

Just look around your cache and find the Holos/EX/Prime/Lv. X/1st Ed. and check around the internet, then (if you don't want them graded) just determine yourself if they are in good enough condition to sell. As much as I would like to know exactly what cards you have...I dont think EITHER of us have that kind of time

Well, we can only give very broad, very generalized estimates. If only two hundred cards are foil/rare/etc out of two thousand, that is a different price than, say, two hundred and fifty cards. 

 

My suggestion: go through and pull out anything that you believe could be sold for a price. Keep all your Energy cards, Basic evolutions, etc. in a separate pile and pull out all of your money-worthy cards. As I've understood it, you can pawn off cards for more if you sell only a card or two at a time.

Well, here's a few good examples of my cards. All but about 5 of the ones I'm posting are foil. :3. And the blue outlines are sleeves by the way. I also have a few rare Yugioh cards. Like a foil Galaxy Eyes Photon Dragon. :3.

I don't really know much about pokemon cards myself but here's a video that should help a bit. Google is your best friend when it comes to this sort of stuff.
