A Season 4 Episode Idea (Featuring Scootalove)

I've always loved two sided episodes. One where both sides have legitimate reasons for thier actions. I also admire Rainbow Dash, Scootaloo and the chemistry they shared in the show as it progressed.

 

Lastly I really admire Lightning Dust in Wonderbolt Academy and since the writing team seems to have a thing with all the antagonist redemptions, I thought, why not give her another episode?

 

So it became clear in Sleepless in Ponyville that Rainbow Dash finally opened up to Scootaloo and regarded themselves as surrogate sisters. This means that they would most likely spend more time together.

 

Now in Wonderbolt Academy, Rainbow Dash became one step closer to achieving her dream of being a Wonderbolt. As a result, she must have to do a little bit more work to prove her worth. This of course means spending a little more time away from her friends and most importantly, Scootaloo.

 

Now Scootaloo would notice Rainbow Dash spending less time with her as time progresses ,but she understands that being a Wonderbolt is her dream so she lets it slide. Instead she continues to train her wings so she may fly one day ( the fact that if she's disabled wouldn't really matter) until one day she comes across Lightning Dust.

 

Scootaloo knows nothing about Lightning Dust other than the fact she's just as fast and bold as her idol Rainbow Dash. She comes to a liking to her because she reminds her do much of Rainbow Dash and then Scootaloo would begin getting some training from her since Rainbow Dash is so busy.

 

I expect Lightning Dust's moral from Wonderbolt Academy to have taken a uprise. She knows she got kicked out because she never took account of anyone's else's self interest or safety. Now she sees this is her chance to redeem herself and she enjoys herself as she trains Scootaloo.

 

Overtime thier bond would grow until one day Rainbow Dash returns from whatever. She sees Lightning Dust with Scootaloo and scared for her life, Rainbow Dash immediately pulls Scootaloo away from Lightning Dust and then being protective over Scootaloo, scolds Lightning Dust to stay away from her.

 

Lightning Dust retaliates saying she not giving her a chance and that she was just trying to help Scootaloo not only to better the little filly by flying, but by bettering herself by putting other people before herself.

 

Scootaloo is at a lost and sad seeing the two pegasi she admires fighting each other. She would probably scold both being so angry at each other.

 

 

You see? I think this would make out to be a good if not the best MLP episode to be made of season 4. Both Rainbow Dash and Lightning Dust have legitimate reasons to be angry with each other and we'd get to see Scootalove come into play a bit more.

I like your idea, I think that sounds like a good plot line for an episode, and of course it has Scootz in it to who I'm a bit of a fanboy of

Now that sounds like a really good idea. I'm pretty sure that adding Lightning Dust into the Scootalove, would definitely cause more tension between Rainbow Dash and Lightning Dust while at the same time the expansion of Scootaloo and Rainbow Dash is happening.

I'm sure Rainbow Dash cares enough about Scootaloo that she'd be protecting her from people she thinks she shouldn't be around.

 

Remember, Lightning Dust's actions nearly lead to the death of the Mane 5 when they came to visit Rainbow Dash during her thing. So I'm pretty sure she'd be all over Scootaloo the moment she sees her with Lightning Dust.

Well, I was more expecting her to be like a parent...or her trying so hard to get to know Scoot that Rainbow doesn't seem to know. (I.E:parents, relatives, actual interests.)

It's an alright idea, but kinda weak if you ask me.

 

For one, we don't really know if Lighting Dust was kicked out. She might have been demoted and has to work her way back up. Also there is no proof to say LD hates Rainbow Dash for this or not. Maybe she saw that she was a little hot headed and should not try and do to many dangers things. 

 

Also I don't think Scootaloo needs another sister. What she needs is character development.

I could be cool with this idea, I think it could make a good episode. I mean it looks good to me, idk I'm not exactly that great at idea crafting for ideas though .

 

It looks like it would be good, although whenever Lightning dust and Rainbow Dash make up, Lightning Dust is going to have to have some way to not need to be involved with the episodes to much, because I don't know if the show could handle her as another needing development type character.

 

So I guess to some extent like Trixie, idk maybe since they're both trying to be wonderbolts then something could be worked out for her to be put into the training program again, and then she could show up randomly with Rainbow while Rainbow is training.

 

Thats the only way I can see her showing in episodes after this episode though.

If you ask me (which you all should be doing), I say they should also include Scoot-centered-stories that go beyond her main arc, to better develop her character. Actually, same goes for the whole CMC group, though Scoots in particular needs some extra character development.

I like episodes that have two sides to something with each side having good legitimate reasons for their actions. So, I would love to see an episode like this in Season 4.

 

Also, an episode like this could provide some very nice character development for Lightning Dust and establish a relationship between her and Scootaloo.

 

I would like to see Scootaloo's thoughts on all of this as well. Would she choose between them? How would she react to them both fighting? What if ended up liking Lightning Dust more? What if Lightning Dust had not learned from her past actions and was a bad influence on Scootaloo? But if she wasn't?

 

This is a very good idea for an episode, Lady Rainicorn and it brings up a lot of different points and questions. Very good job indeed.

absoluty right she's just there with no explanation would be great to have a back story on her and the rest of the cmc for that matter, as for the episode idea bring it on RD, check, scoots, check, lighting dust, check just need luna somewhere and possibly be best show ever

This is awesome! Plus, it'd be the first episode about Scootaloo and not completely about the CMC, which would be nice because the other two members already had episodes about them.
